Types of Grimm

Beowolf

One of the most common, and weakest, varieties of Grimm, Beowolves are encountered nearly everywhere in the wilderness, but outside the larger Alpha Beowolves or in large packs they are not considered particularly dangerous to trained combatants.

Ursa

Ursa are almost as common as Beowolves, but significantly more dangerous. While a single, normal Ursa will not likely pose a threat to even a student Huntress/Huntsman, a group of them or a single Alpha Ursa, noted by their significantly larger size and a number of bony spikes on their back, can prove to be a danger.

Boarbatusk

Boarbatusks are a fairly small grimm, though they can presumably grow to larger sizes as shown in most other varieties of Grimm. They are heavily armored everywhere except on the stomach, and often attack by rolling into a ball to keep their exposed stomach hidden.

Creep

Creeps are a type of minor grimm, likely on par with regular Ursa. They attack with their powerful ramming, along with their sharp teeth.

King Taitiju

The King Taitiju is a large snakelike Grimm, unique in that it seems to turn into a second, semi-autonomous entity halfway down the length of its body, resulting in two heads capable of functioning together, often surprising their victims with the sudden appearance of a second head after they may seem to have been killed.

Nevermore

Nevermores are a common variety of airborn Grimm, which seem to have a size ranged vastly larger than most other Grimm, as they range from the size of a regular crow or raven to a colossal size larger than a building. Larger ones are also capable of firing their wing feathers like darts, resulting in a dangerous attack on the unsuspecting.

Goliath

Very little is known about these Grimm, save that they are both ancient and excessively massive. They have reached the point where they have some level of intelligence, which keeps them from blindly attacking anyone.

Deathstalker

Deathstalkers are large scorpion Grimm, covered all in bony plates all over, with a large glowing stinger. The stinger likely doesn't hold venom and is more used as a piercing weapon, along with its large pincers.

Kitsune

These are small Grimm, generally smaller than a Beowolf, though an Alpha Kitsune can sometimes reach larger sizes. Kitsune primarily attack with their claws and fangs, utilizing their speed to get the surprise on enemies, but Alpha Kitsune have been known to exhibit teleportation, almost like the semblances held by some people.

Bubulos

Bubulos are large, buffalo like Grimm that dwell primarily in the plains in large groups of over ten to twenty, with larger Bubulos outsizing some Ursa. Their primary method of attack is with their reinforced heads, which often leaves them open to attack if they are dodged.

Caribal

Caribal are a rather strange Grimm, as they seem to be primarily nonhostile. They tend to simply watch before retreating deeper into the forest for unknown reasons.

Gryphix

Gryphix are an avian Grimm, often flocking behind exceptionally large Nevermores, or simply venturing on their own. They tend to attack either by bodyslamming into victims or attacking with beaks and talons. They are generally around the size of an Ursa, though they can range to be larger.

Razertooth

Razertooth are quadrupedal, feline Grimm that fill a similar role to Beowolves. They typically hunt in prides, attacking with their large fangs and sharp claws, and attempting to ambush potential prey. In a straight up fight they are slightly weaker than Beowolves, but tend to make up for it with their stealthy nature.

Manticore

Manticores are colossal Grimm, the Alpha varieties even giving Goliath's a run for their money. They are capable of a sort of firebreath, giving them a devastating ranged attack to combine with their claws, tail, and bite. The Alpha variety is not only larger but equipped with a pair of semi-functional wings (They can glide short distances but not fly), heavier armor plating, and a stinger-tail similar to that of a Deathclaw, usually used as a giant club.
