The title tells everything. I've been looking to start making Signature art and I've been wondering. Where do I start? I have not the first idea on how to design any signature art that looks nice like everybody else can. So, this is me reaching out to those who have designed signatures before. Where do I start?

I just downloaded Gimp (a free program) and started fiddling around with it. Trying to emulate the sigs I liked. There are lots of tutorials out there for Gimp and graphics in general. Someone might have a better resource than that, but that is what I did.

Lately I've just grabbed stuff from places and tossed it in my rotator. I don't make signatures much anymore.

As what Lillian said, start off by getting a program like Gimp or Photoshop. Then head over to a place like deviantART and do a search for "[program] signature (or) tag tutorials". You'll find heaps but start off with some of the simple ones and go from there.

> Lately I've just grabbed stuff from places and tossed it in my rotator. I don't make signatures much anymore. Ditto. But when I did, it was fiddling around in photoshop. Learn how to make good-looking text and you've learned how to make good looking sigs by default. Just keep trying new crap and see what works. You'll get it.
