@Heathen - Injury Transference is too poweful. It would be more acceptable if he also suffered from the self inflicted injury, or shared the trauma with his intended victim, but without it it just seems like a game breaker. Whats to stop him slitting his own throat every time the team run into a particularly powerful foe?

Jaymi/Poltergeist

Costume

Name: Jaymi DuBois Alias: Poltergeist Age: 21 Personality: Jaymi at first glance comes across as quiet and reserved. He genuinely tends to keep things to himself unless something deserves to be called out. Growing up in an abusive, religious household, he was made to be very timid and not to stand up for himself. Over time, especially with the emergence of his powers he has learned to speak up and stand his ground. However, he still holds a part of his old self with him which is something he’s come to terms with. He can be very blank in the face which only means he’s constantly keeping his emotions in check. Powers: Telekinesis – Poltergeist has the ability to move objects with the mind. Unlike other powerful telekinetics, Poltergeist can only manipulate telekinesis at its purest form. Thus, he cannot perform complex telekinetic operations, like the manipulation of matter and energy, being limited to more basic applications. But this is made up with overwhelming power. For example, he could crush, grip, and/or strangle heavy objects as light as a feather to a car. He is able to unleash telekinetic blasts strong enough to throw things back or tear obstacles out of his path. He can levitate things, push/pull them, or create constructs. Poltergeist can move one object at a time or move several. He can also move the inner workings of devices, i.e. unlock a door.

• Tactile Telekinesis – Poltergeist can completely surround himself with an invisible field of telekinetic energy, protecting him from harm which gives him slight invulnerability. It also enhances his physical abilities like increased strength. However, tactile telekinesis must be consciously activated for use. If not, he is vulnerable to pretty much any attack.
• Flight – Poltergeist is able to fly/levitate himself via telekinesis. His flight speed depends on the amount of energy he puts in. He isn’t able to fly for too long without stopping to rest.

Telepathy – Poltergeist contains the simplest form of telepathy, enabling him to hear the thoughts of others, make psychic links with others, and send out his own thoughts to communicate. To actually “see” what one is thinking or look into their memories, he has to physically touch them to do so. Weaknesses: Jaymi’s abilities are limited to his willpower as well as his emotions. In order to get them under control, he first must be in control. To act out in anger or frustration is bad for himself and others. Over exerting himself will land him in a coma. With Telepathy, he initially had no control over who he heard. It is still a newer ability he acquired so he’s still learning. As of now he can hear a few people at a time to only one. At certain times, his power will slip and he’ll hear something he wasn’t supposed to but for the most part Poltergeist is good with privacy. At rare times, he’ll hear everything around him which will give him a migraine and eventually knock him out. Personality wise, he can be too sympathetic sometimes which he often questions himself why is he on a team that is seen as misfits. He can also be too optimistic and can trust the wrong person (which has dissipated due to his telepathy). Brief Bio: Jaymi didn’t have a great childhood. He was born in Central City to a single mother who got pregnant from a one night stand. She gave birth to her child in a bathtub instead of a hospital because she didn’t believe in modern ways of medicine. Jaymi’s mother believed her son was born of sin and was the child of the devil. Feeling guilty for having sex out of wedlock, she took her anger out on her son his whole life by abusing him and using religious dogma as her excuse. By the time he was a teenager, he was a socially awkward, timid, shy young man who couldn’t defend himself if he tried. He could never escape the wrath of someone trying to pick on him in school, or getting jumped on his way home. He never really understood why people disliked him until he understood his mother wasn’t well liked either. So by association, he was not liked. Even though he wasn’t great socially, he excelled in academics landing him in advanced classes. During his senior year of high school, he learned that things would break when he got angry. He started to move little things around which turned into several larger things including his bed. After doing research on telekinesis and the metagene, he continued to practice until his mother found out. He tried explaining to her that there were others like him who could do what he could. Calling him the anti-Christ and a witch, she attempted to kill him. In a fit of rage, he launched just about every knife in the kitchen at her, as well as almost leveling his house with telekinetic energy. When police arrived, they found Jaymi’s mother dead and him in a coma from over exertion. When he woke, it was weeks later in a hospital. He overheard nurses talking to each other about things moving in his room every so often like a poltergeist or earthquake. After answering questions, the police concluded it was a small earthquake and let him go. Since he was 18 already, they couldn’t really do much with social services. Since he didn’t have any relative nearby, he stayed at an LGBT homeless shelter and finished high school. Everyone who had harassed him stopped since they felt bad for him. At the shelter, he found a homeless black cat and kept her as a pet. While at the shelter, he was contacted by the Outsiders to join them. What they bring to the team?: Every team needs that one strong psychic to help with things that can be too physical or to get them out of tight jams. Being a borderline genius, he can help with technical stuff as well as anything that is book smart. He tends to be a mediator and can help out when people are having a disagreement. Poltergeist also brings a calmness and sometimes dry humor. Notes:

• I don’t intend on him ever evolving his TK to work at a molecular level unless demanded by others in the role play. I might however evolve his telepathy sometime in the later future.
• I pretty much made Telekinesis his main power and Telepathy a weaker, side power in order to balance him out. I didn’t want to make an overpowered Jean Grey type character.
• I sort of jacked the beginning part of his bio from Carrie because I had bad writer’s block (minus the prom massacre).
• Just about everything in his closet is black.
• Poltergeist has a pet female black cat named Jinx. A very sassy black cat at that.

Would you all rather that I give you some time to introduce your characters before dropping the first mission on you, or pretty much jump into the action straight off the bat? I vote for jumping into the action. If people want to introduce their character they could do so through a flashback or a timelapse before the action. Otherwise we can formally introduce the characters after the battle or collaborate in the thread or TitanPad.

A WILD DIDACT APPEARS xD Heyo, Sam. Since roleplaying together is always fun, I'm going to throw my hat in the ring. And since we need more female, energy-based, support characters that's exactly what I'll put in. As well as an OC with a connection to established Herodom. Question, is the Justice League only a dozen or so people like most incarnations or a massive group like in the DCAU? I'll assume the later but will edit my bio as needed if the former is true.

Name: Juno Hoshi Alias: Twilight Age: 21 Personality: Juno is her mother's daughter, an arrogant soul who feels superior over most of the people in her life. However unlike her mother this superior nature is coupled with a razor wit and dangerous cunning all under a polite and amiable veneer. Where Kimiyo is upfront and no-nonsense about her feelings, Juno deflects and disarms others with her charm. She routinely deceives and manipulates when it benefits her and cares little for others when they get in her way. Her assumption of superiority is not without merit for she is a driven and dedicated individual with great intelligence and willingness to go to whatever lengths are necessary to get the job done. In a team-setting she will try to take control whether overtly or not. As a metahuman she often looks down on mundane humans and prefers the company of other superpowered individuals, save for those she truly finds exceptional like Batman. If she does not consider one an equal or a better she will take advantage if it suits her goals. A violent incident in recent years has hardened Juno and made her more vulnerable all at the same time, and her distance from most of the people in her life has not helped her move on. Powers: Juno inherited the power of light projection and manipulation from her mother. With her bright white fields of light she can fly and construct light projections from her imagination as well as fire white beams of energy from her hands. Her projections rely on her mental focus and she control several simple objects or a few complex structures at one time. The more concentration she devotes to a construct increases it s durability. Her barriers block physical force as well as the full spectrum of energies. Her lasers range in power from simply stunning somebody to blasting a hole through them. Weaknesses: She can only maintain so many objects at one time before they begin to drain her concentration and falter in integrity. If she erects a barrier it will start to crumble if opposing forces over-power or over-tax her will and any construct fails entirely if she cannot concentrate. She can only fly with use of her fields and each new construct she creates slowly tires her over time like any physical activity. Her trust issues and arrogance impair her ability to coordinate with a team and she does not take being bested well. She is not immune to her own emotions and has a hunger for meaningful relationships with others outside of her family, a yearning which can be exploited. Appearance: Juno is a young attractive woman of asian descent with deep brown eyes, lush black hair, and tan brown skin. She stands at 5'8 and has a toned athletic build. She keeps her hair cut shoulder length and curled. Her costume is a color flip of her mothers, with white on black and a seven pointed star as her emblem. BRIEF Bio: Juno was born with the same powers that her mother the female Dr. Light possessed. Since she was a young child she aspired to be a superhero like her mother despite being encouraged to be a scientist instead. Juno was always top of her class and was known to use other children for whatever schoolyard desires may have manifested, she often charmed her adult teachers as well into getting what she wanted. If Juno pursued a course of action she gave it everything she had and excelled whether it was music, sports, academics, of other extracurricular activities. Growing up, she had few true friends, her siblings being her only confidants and preferring the company of other metahumans. She graduated highschool early and earned several academic accolades. She rejected the path of university despite her mother's wishes however and had started her hero career early. She was a periphery member of Young Justice for several years and sought to advance into the ranks of the Justice League when she was older. She was a consummate professional in the field and learned how to manipulate the media and even her teammates for the advancement of her career and public presence. She was a hopeful for full-fledged League membership and her future seemed bright. Until one incident in Keystone city involving her brother and an Intergang affiliate. Her brother, who had become an assistance at STAR Labs, was killed in a robbery attempt by the criminal organization. Juno had abandoned the team headquarters when she heard the news. The incident that followed was hushed over by the League but resulted in the complete dismantling of that entire chapter of Intergang in a series of violent and effective confrontations. If it wasn't for the intervention of senior members of the League, Juno would have likely gone to even greater lengths to exact her revenge. That one moment halted her career and she was put in the reserve roster of the League. However, the incident had demonstrated Juno's prowess in the field as well as a willingness to go to lengths other heroes would not. She was seen as an ideal candidate for a different kind of hero team. Juno accepted the offer as a way to earn the good graces of her superiors and get her life back on track but she remains haunted. What they bring to the team?: Juno has studied superhero and supervillain careers and confrontations her whole life and is a self-proclaimed expert on several notable villains and organizations as well as having a good head for tactics. Her academic achievements have resulted in a respectable knowledge of science and technical pursuits, making her light constructs an effective and reliable support asset for any team for both offense and defense. Her flight allows increased mobility and reconnaissance capabilities for the team and her intelligence is not to be overlooked. She has connections to several heroes as well as STAR Labs. Notes: She has tried to engender a personal relationship with almost all of the living prominent superheroes and is a budding public personality herself. Also a lover of chocolate and novels.

Ok, so there's the opening post, and a bit of reading for ya'll (I'm afraid that's gonna be a common occurrence, I get carried away with my writing) I'll give you all a couple days to have your characters join Fenrir on the cruiser before really starting the action. The reason for this is I still have to describe each of the six members of the Royal Flush Gang before starting the fight, and if I did that in that opening post it would probably be stupidly long. Also, for those that haven't seen it or don't know what it is, we have a Titanpad. It is essentially a shared wordpad that we can use to discuss the rp in real time, work on collaborative posts or plot out story lines. I also use it for storing my WIP posts. The link is in the first post if anyone wants to use it.
