Just for curiosity's sake, who was your third choice? We could work something out if it's plausible enough. Witches are fine, actually. In the new reality, Kyubey rules supreme in a dystopia version of the anime, so that little shit can do whatever it wants just to mess with the Magical Girls - including turning some of them into witches once again.

His personality is determined by the Era in which he's summoned into. The era of Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night was really shitty, so he had an asshole-ish attitude. In Fate/Extra CCC, he was content with the way the world was, so he was nicer. Nasu wanted to show that there was more to Gil's personality than just his arrogance and asshole-ness.

Homura herself - mostly when she was a new Magical Girl and the best she could do was obtain guns/make bombs since her powers alone weren't great for fighting Witches. Regardless, she was a third choice anyways and I hope I won't be so bad as to get two Assassins rejected.

he actually hated the way the world was at the time. His ultimate noble phantasm, Ea, is an Anti-world noble phantasm after all, so he's the most powerful servant. Even the Savers are nothing to him. He knows the state of the world at all times. He also does know how to wield every weapon in his storehouse. EVERY weapon. he's also really funny in fate/extra. AUO: CAST OFF!!! XD

Not exactly Gil fan, but the idea was that Saber was one of a kind, rare, and most importantly (to Gil) was not impressed by him. It's something he's almost never seen before so he wanted to claim her for his own. Which isn't much better than your guess.

The world, his property, of Fate/stay night was sullied by the consumption society of the early 2000s, so he was in a worse mood overall. He has taken a liking to the virtual world of 2032, so his personality is more stable and closer to how it was during life. Arco Wada says he reminds her of Gilgamesh in Fate/hollow ataraxia. He still displays his normal self-centered traits, but Nasu wished to show that there is more to his character than that. copied and pasted from the wiki. :P

Could anyone come up with a good title for the RP? I was thinking of something along the lines of "Fake/Imaginarium", as in beings from people's imaginations everywhere are gathered in a battle for a faux Holy Grail. But I'm open to suggestions for a better title. :D Maybe something like Faux/Fictitia ("fictitious" in Latin) or something. Oh, and don't mind the current placeholder title of this thread. It's not the real title.

Fate/Never. I like the sound of that. It's short, simple, and yet, ambiguous enough. "Fate/False Hope" seems to be too blunt. Something subtler like "Fate/Never" seems more suitable.

Too bad Fate/Strange Fake is already taken. Maybe Fate/Continuation, since, well, WAY past five Grail Wars. Or Faux/Electric Sheep - based off the well-known question (which is asking if something that seems human and acts human but isn't human, then what DOES define humans?) and could relate to the 'real' Masters and their 'fictional' Servants, all of who have a wish they want granted.
