Maxx, bartleby was putting on an entirely different tone of voice and was acting entirely different from before, there was no hint of fear in his face because he was putting on a facial facade of being cocky and proud, not fear, but y'know, everyone keeps on magically taking everything my character does in an absurdly other direction than whats actually happening so, meh, fuck it i guess... No. That is not the right mindset to play this game. Or any game. Look at what you have now and what you can do. Think really, really hard how you can improve and perfect it. Do not be afraid to ask questions. We are not just role-playing here. We're telling a story.

You're not going to get anywhere with that attitude, bruh. If you think your grammar sucks, then get better at it. There's plenty of sites that'll help you if you put the effort into it.

This is my first RP :o trust me I'm learning the hard way what not to do, slowly getting the hang of it and hopefully improving my writing whilst doing so. I'm not that older than you but I've been numbing my brain, to put it in a nice way, for a long time and am using this RP as a small measure to stop my mind turning to mush. Personally I get enjoyment out of writing about my characters and if somebody wants to interpret their actions in a different way than you intended them then, just like real life, that's their prerogative and you shouldn't let it bother you. Nobody realizes this often enough, I swear to god. This. This is so, incredibly important. Characters perceive words and actions in different ways because of their differing experiences, values, and beliefs. The fact that so many people don't intentionally make their characters misinterpret a phrase or action really makes it hard to get sucked into the setting. A lot of roleplayers make it feel like the story you're in is a game that you're supposed to try to win.
