PERSONALITY Outward & Innate Personality: Cold, moody, and taciturn, rarely speaks but when she does it's usually something cynical. She doesn't really smile much either. She tends to have a bit of a soft side, and if she ever sees anyone being bullied or picked on, she will personally deck the bastards in the face, also she can be sadistic, especially when she's killing. She is particularly hostile to men who abuse women, and takes special pleasure in exposing and punishing them. Her mental state is hard to fathom, an Achilles' Heel used against her many times by her adversaries. Many of whom have described Cypher as "disturbing", "violent", "insane", "murderous" and "the textbook definition of a psychopath", although she shows little signs of psychopathic behavior. However, while incredibly gifted, she is deeply troubled by past traumas she's suffered during her upbringing, and though antagonistic and violent, she does not appear to lack any sort of conscience. While she may not abide by the laws of today's society, she is structured by her own moral judgments based upon what she feels is right or wrong. Therefore, it is Nora's own belief that she is entirely sane and mentally competent. Hobbies/Interests: She doesn't have time to fiddle with meaningless, trivial things. Mostly she keeps herself locked in her room listening to industrial music and staying glued to her computer, doing God knows what. Skills/Talents: While Nora does have some skill with firearms and is an intermediate in parkour/free-running, where she excels most is when she is behind her keyboard or when she has her hands wrapped around her personally modified iPhone. Nora's hacking skills are extraordinary, as are her intellectual capability and her impressive photographic memory. Give her a few minutes or so and she can break into any network security database and breach any firewall with ease. Her skills are mostly noted for either sabotaging electrical grids run by city maintenance or for gathering cryptic and vital information, whether it be blueprints to specific buildings or access codes to bank vaults and online savings accounts or even personal information she could use to cripple her adversaries. Nora also has some skill in concealing her identity both on and off the network, usually by means of physically altering her appearance, though she isn't much for being out in the field. `Weapon of choice: Walther P99 Prized Possession: A silver cross given to her by her mother on her tenth birthday. History/Bio:

A rather...tense meeting...

"You think those things stuck in your face make you look cute?" Nora peered upwards towards the man sitting across from her behind his mahogany desk cluttered with papers, open files, and various office supplies such as a phone, a stapler and a hole punch. Bitter, she narrowed her eyes beneath the shadows of the hood drawn over her jet black hair, a vicious and disinterested scowl towards what this pompous bastard had to say about her appearance, namely the hardware in her eyebrow and her nose, his grim expression neatly mirroring her own. "Because they don't. They make you look scary, like a no good thug. Next meeting, I want you to take those out and put on some bright colors for Jesus' sake. It's no wonder your ability to socialize with others is almost nonexistent. I mean, if I ever saw someone dressed like you, I don't believe I'd want to carry on a conversation, let alone speak a word." Quietly the hacker ducked her head, just so this man couldn't see the flames billowing within her eyes, flames that threatened to spill forth and scald the inhuman prick. She clenched her fists tight in her lap, gritting her teeth in such paroxysm behind her lips. Much to her chagrin, Nora could only remain quiet as the bastard carried on in that damned belittling tone of his, lifting from his desk a few scraps of paper, the text upon the bleached white sheets so small in typeface that even from a few feet or so, Nora could barely read it....oh....but he could, "My....even your track record shows you fail to be sociable. You've been kicked out of three foster homes for disruptive and violent behavior and failed to adapt to the state's public education system, dropping out of school at age 17. You've also been arrested on charges of vagrancy, public disturbance due to intoxication, lashing out towards local law enforcement, and last but not least, smashing a man's face in with a laptop. Well...you certainly don't play nice with others, do you Miss Cypher?" "Why should I?" Blunt, empty and rather cold Nora responded for once to this man. Who was he? His name was Richter Howard, a lawyer who worked for the city. He was also....much to the woman's cringing dismay, her new guardian. So why would a twenty-two year old woman need a legal guardian? Simple, because a few signed and notarized documents withheld by the state proclaim that Nora is legally incompetent, and until she can prove otherwise, she will continue to be in the care of the state's welfare and guardianship program. Richter sighed irritably fixing his glasses upon his wrinkled brow and crooked nose, "Because if you continue this outlandish behavior, then I will keep my control over your financial assets and I will deny your legal competence to the state. Furthermore......if you continue to chide me further, Miss Cypher, then you will leave me no choice but to admit you into an institution." Institution? Nora, just at the mention of such a word, her entire body felt limp, damn near lifeless. Her eyes widened, her palms perspired as a tight, clenching feeling assaulted her throat, making even the mundane task of breathing such an arduous task. No....he wouldn't dare! But....this was Richter....of course he would. He was the mayor.... "Would you like that?" He asked, his face inching closer to Nora's so she could see clearly the seriousness in his dark brown eyes, tinted black by the anger surging through him unto the woman. "Would you like to be locked away forever among people who are far more insane than you are?" Nora lifted her glance towards Richter. Though frightened she was by the aspect of being thrown in an asylum, she didn't let it show in her piercing glare towards her guardian, her lips parting as words of her own followed, "I just came here for my money. That's all, Richter." Richter replied, a rather snarky and insolent grin as if to spit in Nora's face, "And you will have it, but only after you have proved deep down you're not a violent psychopath and a social degenerate. Now, Miss Cyper....I know you. I know well you've had a terrible upbringing, what with your drunk father beating you black and blue, your mother....practically out of touch with reality now, and your sister....well, from what I hear you barely wish to speak to her anymore, but that's no excuse." Back behind his desk he went again, reaching from underneath to pull forth a shot glass and a bottle of Crown. Nora merely observed stone-faced as he poured himself a drink and gulped the shot down before adjusting his tie. "Since we're on the subject of money, how has the job searching been going?" "I work on computers now." Nora answered, a blazing huff of air from her pierced nose. "Oh, a tech job. How nice." Retorted Richter downing another shot. "How much do you make at this computer job of yours?" "That's none of your business." "It is when I'm the one in charge of your financial assets." Nora sighed, "Whatever.....I make enough to get by." "So you do." Rather nonchalant was Richter's reply. "So tell me, why do you need ten thousand dollars if all you do is pay rent for some crummy ass apartment?" "I shouldn't have to tell you!" Growled Nora. "I shouldn't have to beg for my money either. I'm not a child!" "True." Richter returned, "But still you continue to act like one. I will give you an allowance, but not the amount you requested. After you have payed your rent and your utilities, do something productive with the leftover funds, like I don't know, maybe donate to a charity or buy you some nicer clothes and a haircut, and maybe get those fucking piercings out of your face." There was that last hint of venom dripping off his words as fiercely his pen scribbled out his loathsome name in thick blue ink upon a check..... a check for a measly two hundred dollars which begrudgingly he handed to Nora. In a quick snap of her hand, Nora wrenched the check away from Richter, already on her feet and storming towards the door. "I do hope our next meeting goes better, Miss Cypher. Goodbye." "FUCK YOU." and with that Nora slammed the door with all her might, a fearsome thunder echoing through the halls of the legal office, as was the bitter trudging of her boots towards the elevator. Richter......oh how much Nora wanted to see him choke on his own blood.....just like her father.
