[IC] Miso City Secondary: Escapades and Dramas?

The sight of the bleeding girl made the two sisters blink in surprise. Ruki immediately went up to her and crouched near her form. Tilting her head, she noticed that the other girl was in fact still breathing. Good. She was still alive.

“Thought you went up and died on me! That wouldn’t be nice if you did, you know. We didn’t even get a chance to introduce ourselves,” the bespectacled girl said cheerily, happily poking Maggie’s cheek.


“Ruki, please don’t do that.”

“Ah, but she’s so cute like this! Seriously, it’s like poking a marshmallow!”

Akane sighed, turning to face Hikaru again.

“Should we take this girl to the hospital? Or continue to pursue the toy burglar? You are the one in charge seeing as that kind officer trusted you with his duty.”

That last sentence wasn’t supposed to make sense in…any context. Only in Miso City. Grinning to herself, Ruki reached into her pocket and produced a rather dangerous looking syringe filled with blue liquid. With careful precision, she aimed it right at Maggie’s arm, ready to pierce a vein.


“Who needs a hospital when I got this?”

Back inside the toy store, Yoshino turned in the direction Stukov was directing. Seeing the students out there, her face immediately turned into to a deathly glare of annoyance and a dark aura surrounded.

“Stukov, buddy? Hurry up and finish this already. I’ve got some people to scold,” she said scarily, already stomping her way out of the toy store and outside toward the group.

“A bank? Why didn’t I think of that?!?” the robber called after her.

Yoshino promptly made her presence known in the crowd of kids. It could have been snowing in Miso City; that’s how cold Tsugumi Yoshino made the air feel at that moment.

“Ren.”

She looked at the cat girl.

“People I don’t care about.”

She looked at the two boys and the unconscious Maggie.

“…you two.”

Both Akane and Ruki waved, though Ruki was a bit too enthusiastic swinging that syringe around.

“Right then. You mind telling your Student Body President why exactly you are all late to class?”

Seth!!! Ren yelled, seriously freaking out; crazy was spiraling down even more towards loony land. Seth, hearing Ren's silent yell, toppled backwards from where he was precariously perched, searching for an off switch for the sirens. Ren?!! Ren!! What's wrong??!!! but he got little in the way of a coherent answer. Ren herself had stayed where she was, deciding that she didn't need to crowd the girl who'd collapsed, but when Ruki brought out the dodgy looking syringe, there was no way Ren could stay quiet any longer. "Ruki" she called dashing forwards, "I don't think that's a good idea." But before she could say or do anything else Yoshino stormed over, “Ren.” flinching at the practical icicles dripping from Yoshino's voice, Ren nodded back, shying away slightly her tail lashing fiercely, although she found it funny how Yoshino called the boys and collapsed girl “People I don’t care about.”

“Right then. You mind telling your Student Body President why exactly you are all late to class?” Ren froze, warning signals pinging out to Seth, she was never good at this, Seth was the one who did the talking, not her.
Seth however had found a switch, he couldn't read what the words around it were, (although they probably consisted of a warning) but the sirens really were screwing with his head, and so without a second thought he flipped the switch, quite a big switch, and a bright red colour, and had he been paying attention he might have thought twice about flipping a giant firetruck red switch with bright red writing above it, but this was Seth, in Miso City, and so he didn't think twice, he just heaved that massive switch up, shutting off the sirens and starting another rather ominous noise of ticking, however Seth didn't notice it, he having learned long ago to drown ticking out, thanks to Aunt Cass's excess of clocks.
And with that he hurried back to where he had left Ren, finding Yoshino there ready to scold the lot of them. He slunk up behind Ren and wrapped his arms round her waist, reassuring her he was there. The twins were kind of touchy-feely with each other and it could be rather off putting to others.

Maggie awoke to a girl holding a needle to her arm. "AAH!" is all she said before ripping free from the girl holding her arm and scurrying back against the wall. She sees all these faces around her, some facing her, others preoccupied.
[i][color=00FF99]Who are all these people?[/i] "Who- who are you people!? I don't know any of you. I- I need to go!"[/color] Not meaning to say the last sentence out loud, Maggie gets up and wishes to go to the top of the building in front of her, so she closes her eyes, thinking she'll teleport there. In reality, she broke into a hard run, hopping police cars and onto a firetruck that was really close to the building, leapt over to the cooling fan protruding from the building and climbed the large wires leading to the top. Once she opened her eyes, she curled back into a ball, with an eye on all the people down below where she was. Maggie started to cry a little.
I just want to know things. I don't know anything that's happened before two weeks ago... I need answers... Feeling alone and afraid, Maggie hid on the opposite corner of the building's roof, hoping none of the people down there saw her when she had 'reappeared' on the roof.

Haruki widened his eyes the minute the seemingly cold girl called herself the Student Council President. The events before she showed up happened too fast for him to react, but when this scary girl just suddenly came out of the toy store, he was frozen in panic. My first day here in this weird Miso City and now I'm going to get scolded by this intimidating Student Body President. This isn't exactly how I expected for my day to start, he thought in despair as he tried to find any excuse to explain himself, but he found none that will sound acceptable.

Why is the Student Body President late for school as well? a defensive part of his mind asks, but Haruki pushed it back wherever it came from, he's already in enough trouble, thank you very much. Instead, he shrinks himself away and lowers his head in fear, sweating in panic and bracing himself for a lecture.

Hikaru Shouto

Everything around Hikaru was going too fast, all of a sudden, he saw a lady who he recognized, walk out, with a stern and sour look on her face. Everyone's face visible changing to that of nervousness, or worried ones. All the while Hikaru still had the same face on him, being used to the cold treatment by his parents, this didn't distress him... that much. He still somewhat had a cold sweat from her presence.

"Her presence is really suffocating." he says to her, unconsciously glaring at her. Her saying something about students she didn't really care about didn't really disturb him. “Right then. You mind telling your Student Body President why exactly you are all late to class?”
"..." still glaring he finally utters, "... I would gladly do so, but do you mind telling me why you're late, kaichou." all the while unconsciously glaring at her, still trying to discern with his eyes that have observed for many years.

Yoshino shrugged off Hikaru’s cold glare towards her. Apathy always trumped negativity, or at least it did in her mind. She did blink in surprise though when Maggie bolted up screaming again and started climbing up another building. Sighing, she paid no heed to her and instead turned back to the students.

“None of your concern. If you want an answer, go talk to my assistant,” she answered Hikaru. “Kaichou? That’s a new one. Don’t call me that. There’s already a kaichou in this city and the man hates competition,” she deadpanned. “Both you boys look new here, so I’ll turn a blind eye for now-”

“Onee-chan!”

Ruki lunged out and glomped Yoshino, the syringe having been placed back in her pocket. Flustered, the older girl struggled not to tumble over altogether. Akane slowly joined the two, nodding at Yoshino.

“Onee-chan.”

“Why the hell are you not at school?!?”

“We saw the hostage situation and wanted to be heroes!”

"Ruki wanted to be hero," Akane corrected softly.

The air only got colder, Yoshino’s voice quickly becoming deathly calm.

“All of you. Get. In. School. Now.”

“Yes Onee-chan!”

“Yes Onee-chan.”

Yoshino sighed before turning in the direction of the school and leaving the scene of the crime behind her. Both Akane and Ruki followed along happily, as should the rest of the students. Hikura and Haruki should have been grateful. Usually she waited until all the paper work was done before speaking to new students.

As Yoshino led the band of students to the school, the sound of a renegade fire truck was heard. Siren blaring up as hoses came alive. Yoshino merely shrugged, figuring Stukov would take care of it. One of the perks of having an assistant of the dark arts.

After she felt better, Maggie noticed everyone leave, having been yelled at by the girl that came out from the store. Not having heard any of the words the girl who emerged from the store, but noticed the body languages, she thought wow, that girl seems scary. Maybe she's a sort of class bully? I- I should confront her. Nobody deserves to be bullied. With that thought, Maggie 'wished' herself down the building, in close pursuit of the group. They weren't stopping, so it was harder, but she finally caught up to the bully. She grabbed out at the girl's sleeve and turned the bully around to face her.
"Hey. You can't just bully people around to do what you want. You wanna be a bitch to people? Fine, but there's no need to terrorize these kids!" Maggie raised her fists to the bully "C'mon. Let's go. You and me." Her anger for this girl made her shyness go away long enough for her to say this. After her words came out, she realized what she said, and started to get flustered but kept her face stone-cold serious, only changing colors to a redder shade, but not any less angry-looking.

It had not been too much of a surprise when the purple haired girl had up and disappeared, making her way up to the top of a building. Ren had watched her go, marveling at the speed and agility the girl had displayed, but losing interest as soon as the girl reached the top of the building. She and Seth had watched the proceedings, chatting silently to each other, paying attention, but only barely, but were brought back to reality when Yoshino had used her ice-filled voice to tell them, in no uncertain terms, to go to school. Seth and Ren complied, tails and ears tucked low, both with one arm around the others waist. They hadn't got far when the purple haired girl appeared again, facing off to Yoshino and accusing her of bullying them lot. She looked so fierce, like an angry cat, but also a little …confused? Or was that embarrassed? She's pretty. Ren noted, seeing the girl properly. Oi! Seth replied slightly sulkily, that's what I'm supposed to say! Ren just flashed him a grin, she knew all to well that Seth was jealous, jealous that Ren could give her attention to someone else, it was how she often felt, but she just grinned, much like a Cheshire cat, a very accurate description; considering her cat ears, still hidden, for the most part, under a hood, and her fairly obvious tail, lashing softly.

Seth was considering whether it was worthwhile to step forward and talk, having a vague understanding of the sort of apathy Yoshino seemed to show. But Ren flicked him with her tail, Step in if need be, but you don't have to…… But she realized it was worthless, Seth had smelled a fight brewing, and while to start with he would help, if things got rough, there was no way Ren could stop him from throwing his weight around in the fray.

Hikaru Shouto

Seeing the whole situation unfold, Hikaru could only observe, not really one to intervene lest it's necessary. Yoshino's cold demeanor didn't really perturb, rather, it just made him shrug and sigh. The two girls that randomly popped up in the group was suddenly talking and hugging with the Kaichou, "Related, hm..." he thought to himself, not really chiming in to their conversation, seeing as it didn't involve him, he was already ready to leave the situation when Yoshino said in a colder voice than before that made Hikaru get a slight chill,

“All of you. Get. In. School. Now.”

Though he really wasn't affected, Hikaru could still feel the environment change after those words. "This city if weird as hell." he whispered, beginning to walk off but stopped in his tracks when he heard,

"Hey. You can't just bully people around to do what you want. You wanna be a bitch to people? Fine, but there's no need to terrorize these kids!" the girl who was oddly bleeding, but it now somehow stopped, said "C'mon. Let's go. You and me."

Glancing back, he saw her trying to pick a fight with the Kaich- Yoshino, Hikaru could only sigh in defeat, leaning back against another tree with a deadpan look, "You know, she's actually not... Nevermind." he said outloud but stopped himself, already giving up on the situation entirely.

Haruki could only let himself sigh in relief when Yoshino decided to let him off the hook because he was new. He realized that he has been holding his breath the whole time Yoshino has been there, and becomes slightly embarassed that he was scared of her, but still, Haruki has seen gentler eyes in a vengeful ghost. He lets himself follow her anyway, and she's not that bad when she lets him out of trouble in the first day, right?

Haruki thought that things are probably going to get a little peaceful for now, though he can't help but wonder what's happened in the hostage situation, but Haruki is pretty sure he doesn't want to know about that certain event. Unfortunately, fate certainly was in the mood to prove him wrong when suddenly the girl who kept appearing and disapearing out of nowhere appeared once again, and seems to have gotten the idea that Yoshino is bullying them.

That's funny. I wouldn't call her a bully. Her anger is justified since she's the Student Body President and we're late. Where did she get that idea? Yes, she intimidated me, that's obvious, but it's not...malicious, for a lack of better word.

That was in his mind. He thought Hikaru was about to intervene, but changed his mind. While his thoughts are what he should've said, he also decided to change his mind like Hikaru. Instead, he asks, "Hey miss, if you do not mind me asking...why do you keep showing up and running away? And that cool parkour thing too! That was awesome, how'd you do that?" He asks the girl like an overly-curious child, when he could've cleared up the situation. Nope.

Maggie heard "You know, she's actually not... Nevermind." and tried to finish the sentence in her head. ... actually not... what I called her? A bully? With that, Maggie let her arms fall down to her side and quickly squeaked out an "I'm sorry" to the not-bully lady. One of the boys asked her about her coming and going. "Oh. I'm just... Not used to people... Plus, I woke up with a needle almost in my arm... Anyways, what's that 'par-koor' thing? The only thing I can do is teleport. Here, I'll show you."
With that, she "teleported" to the top of a nearby building, made a mocking face at the boy, and "teleported" back down where she was. Her breathin was not affected in the slightest by her parkour-with-her-eyes-shut stunt. Nor was any aspect of her body. She felt no soreness or exertion in the slightest. She looked triumphantly at the questioning boy. "Told you so. Teleportation, not par-keur. I've never heard of that bef-" And just like that, her triumph turned into another head splitting trauma. Just as bad as the first, she bit her lip aggressively to avoid vocalizing any of her pain, eventually collapsing into a shivering ball on the ground, whimpering.

Yoshino felt a hand grab onto her and was about to turn and lecture the poor fool that sought to delay her further from her precious paper work. So it was to her great surprise to see not one of the students, but the same girl who had been bleeding just a minute ago. The one with the fancy parkour moves.

“How old are you?” Yoshino muttered, eyeing the other girl with a nonchalant gaze. The Student President saw Seth bristling up, apparently ready to join the fray. A fray that Yoshino wanted absolutely no part of. Thankfully, one of the boys seemed to have intervened at the right time.

“Terrific. Now can we please get to school for the little time we have left before I give you all detention?”

“But Onee-chan,” Ruki piped in. “Doesn’t that mean you have to give yourself detention too?”

“No. My detention is filing out all the daily paperwork by 3 pm. That’s my detention,” Yoshino said, still leading the way back to the school. Where the hell was Stukov? Surely his spells didn’t take that long to conjure up and complete.

One of the Tsugumi sisters wasn’t paying attention to the fiascos exuded by their little group. Instead, Akane was staring at Haruki with a blank look. Moving swiftly, she grabbed his arm and rested her arm on his shoulder. She looked up at the boy with a curious face.

“I like you.”

What…was going on? Her grip on his arm was a little too possessive. And just a little creepy...

Ruki gave off a knowing chuckle at the sight while Yoshino didn’t care. The sooner these kids got to school, the better.

Haruki has a blank face when Maggie "teleported" to a building then back again. ...really? But she just did parkour right there, he thought, perplexed. "To each to his own," he muttered then brightened up. "Awesome!" He gave her a thumbs-up. However, when she just suddenly curled up in pain again, he flinched nervously in surprise. Oh boy, here we go again.

He was about to ask if she's okay (probably not), he was in for another surpise when he felt a pair of arms grabbing his own. “I like you.”

"Huh?" Haruki stared at the soft-spoken girl gazing at him curiously. At that, Haruki felt different kind of emotions, but to name a few, disbelief, joy, with a tint of fear and pain. No one has really liked him before, but this girl just suddenly told him out of the blue that she does, and that makes him happy. But the way she grips his arm is kinda scary. For a girl around his age, she has a tight grip. A painful one, too.

"Really? Thank you!" Haruki beamed happily and quickly hugged the girl with his one free arm and let go. "But I don't know your name yet. My name is Haruki." He tried to loosen the girl's vice-like grip on his arm, but to no avail.

Realizing what happened moments later, Maggie gets up slowly, wiping where she figured blood would be dripping from, yet again. Alright, this has gone from scary to down right annoying. I can't even thi- wincing as pain shot through her body, Maggie quickly regained her composure and answered a question nobody asked: [color=00FF99]"Wow, that's some menstration. I must not have had my time of the month last month. I guess I'll go home to get all cleaned up." Without remembering that she knew nobody's name, she added "Nice to meet you all." With that, she turned and walked in the opposite direction the group of kids were headed. =I messed up really bad back there... I shouldn't have jumped in like that, I'm no hero... I'm just some dork who can teleport and can't remember past last week. Now I know that if I try to remember anything before that, I have super PMS cramps to the max. Eesh. I don't even know where home is. I'll just walk this direction until they all go off to school. Then I go off and... Maggie can't even figure out what she'd do by herself. The point was to get out of this situation with some dignity.

There had been no fight, Seth slumped to the ground in annoyance, sitting cross-legged and grumbling about how everyone were party-poopers. Ren patted his shoulder, not really worried, he'd find himself a fight sooner or later, she just felt a little sorry for whoever ended up fighting him. She did however pay attention and listen in when Haruki asked Maggie about her Parkour. Watching with interest as she did her 'teleporting'. When the Maggie collapsed, again, Ren started to get really rather worried. Skirting Haruki to whom Akaine had glomped, never a pleasant feeling, especially when it was your tail, and headed for Maggie, but before she really got anywhere, Maggie had given a reason for her collapsing, and headed off in what, to Ren, felt like a random direction, but that was just a guess, although a good one. Even with Yoshino threatening them with detention, to which Seth had spring up like a cork form a bottle and was waiting impatiently for her, Ren hurried after Maggie, silently replying to Seth's query as to what she was doing with a, don't worry, I'm just gonna do something she left it vague intentionally as, really, she had no idea what she was gonna do when she caught up with Maggie. It'll be fine, you go to school, I'll yell if I need your help. With that she broke into a run, leaving the others behind without a second glance.

Seth pulled a face in the direction of Ren's retreating back, his tail lashing like a whip, the feeling of abandonment clutching at his stomach. But Ren would be back, and so he turned his attention to what was happening around him, which for the most part really, was nothing.

Finally catching up to the girl, Ren called out a soft but fairly obvious, "Are you okay?" She might not trust the girl, but she didn't think it was likely the girl could do her much harm, and the girl really didn't seem to be in the best state.

Hikaru Shouto

Hikaru, watching another interesting scene(s) unfold before him, he stifled a laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. With one of the siblings suddenly telling Haruki that she had professed love for him, with the parkour girl coming in and out of the situation. He also noticed that said sibling had a vice grip, that Hikaru notice to be quite tight. A smirk, though barely noticeable, spread on his face. Picking up his bag and slumping it over his shoulder, he began to get ahead and just go to school.

The situations around Miso City were still weird and crazy, how these situations arouse really piqued Hikaru's interest, though he really can't do anything to intervene aside from his wit and mouth. Looking back to the odd group, it was again, entangled in a mess, simply shrugging he continued on walking, half pondering the whole time.

Akane blinked, though she did not flinch away from Haruki’s one armed hug to her. If anything, it only made her tighten her hold on him. Ruki continued to snicker loudly at her sister’s actions, hoping that Haruki had some bravery in him for what he was about to unwillingly face.

“I’m…Akane,” the clinging girl said softly, almost shyly. “Tsugumi Akane. It’s nice to meet you Haruki…can I…call you Senpai?”

Ruki lost it at that, breaking out into loud rounds of laughter. Obviously this was going down an...interesting route. Yoshino merely sighed, not having or caring to deal with Haruki’s new problem. Instead, she dutifully led them to the school in one piece. Sure she had lost Ren on the way over to chase the girl with amnesia, but she’d just give the cat girl three detentions to compensate.

After the paper work was all filed.

“Seth, go lead the newbies around the school. Consider it a freebie for now. I won’t be so forgiving on your sister.”

“Ooh, ooh, can I help lead them around Onee-chan?”

“What? Yeah, sure, whatever, just get to class when you’re done.”

With that said and done, the Student Body President walked into the building, which was a labyrinth of its own, with the intention of getting to her office and reclaiming sanity in the form of lovely, lovely, monotonous paper work.

“Oh, and when you see him, tell that damned fool to hurry up and file his share too,” she called out to Ruki, referring to her assistant.

Maggie turned and blinked at the cat-like girl. She put on her best fake smile and nodded. "Mm-hmm. Just seems to be some really bad migraines. It must be my time of the month, heh." Ending her response with a slightly nervous chuckle, she added "I should get going home to get my feminine products. Thank you for your concern, though."
Maggie turned to leave so she could just continue walking until this cat-person-girl was out of sight. She walked a little faster than she was before, fidgeting with her skirt and underwear to make it look as though it needs to be adjusted. Then, as if her thoughts could control others, she thought Please don't follow, please don't follow, please don't follow... repeatedly.
I just want to go ho- she realized that her ruse of having a home to go to made her believe it. I just wanna get things back to how they were... However they were before. That was enough to set it off again, but this time, it had less warning, since Maggie wasn't in deep thought. She yelped in pain and started shaking like a leaf. Maggie fought the pain to keep herself standing, but could do nothing else. As usual, which is a bitch of a 'usual', some blood leaked. This time, it was her nose. A few tears streamed down her face from the pain welling up inside her. I will not fall. I will not black out. I will not fall. I will not... black... out... Maggie's legs start to give and she puts her hand out to try and catch herself, doubting her arm has enough muscle strength at the moment to stop anything.

Stukov had vanished, as was often what someone of his nature did. What he was actually doing was not something mentioned in polite company, but the renegade fire truck soon crashed, all of its wheels seeming to have suffered the tragic and unfortunate fate of all rupturing at precisely the same time. The normal solution would have been far too obvious for the Russian boy's tastes, at least in this situation where far too many people were around. Of course, the cops who had been at least half assed in their pursuit of the fire truck caught up to the vehicle, now on its side without a single tire to its name anymore, and would deal with whatever insane bull that was coming out of the man, or woman's, mouth. He didn't really concern himself with it, whistling to himself as he walked out of an alley just ahead of the group heading towards the school, shooting his boss a huge shit eating grin.

"Problem solved, boss! You lot sure move slow, don't you? It's like none of you want to be here!"

The Russian exchange student laughed his ass off at the little comment. Was it blatant cheating on his part that he beat them there? Oh absolutely, and a gross abuse of his talents. He had missed the runners, or had not acknowledged their existence, either was perfectly possible from the far too cheery Russian. Looking over the situation, he rolled his eyes at Akane and commented from where he was as they moved, considering she was vice gripped onto the boy. Ruki was laughing about it and, accordingly, Yoshino was giving zero fucks. Which really left it to him, again, to say something about the matter. He used his own nickname for Akane, considering that working for Yoshino did expose him to the most fascinating characters, Akane included.

"Sumrak, you really needn't be running around vicing onto someone's arm to the point of cutting off blood flow, da?"

"Aiey, aiey, aiey." Seth grinned, "But you know Ren won't miss out on the lesson, and she'll probably remember more than me." After a short pause he added, "She also says she ain't scared of anything you throw at her, and she'll probably be back later." With that, Seth beckoned to the others, knowing full well that any punishment for Ren, was also a punishment for him. "Come on, let's see if we can find our way round this maze." Ruki probably knew her way round better, but Seth was happy to lead, for now anyway.

Ren blinked, there was something……… nervous about the way the girl refused help, nothing amazingly obvious, but Ren could almost smell it. However when the girl insisted it was nothing amazing, Ren respected her decision. She stood and watched as the other girl walked off twitching her skirt, something Ren hated wearing. Hearing Seth's silent declaration about Yoshino's statement, Ren replied that she wasn't scared, and also, even though there really was no reason to stick around, that she would be back later. Standing there in the middle of the street, only her lashing tail to show her agitation, Ren pondered what to do. She could always follow the girl, but that seemed like stalking, she could…… find something to eat. There we go, a brilliant idea! As much as Ren lover cooking, she loved eating even more, mostly the reason she had taken up cooking in the first place. She was just debating where to go when she heard a small, kinda faint, yelp. Glancing up she saw the girl, now a little way down the street, start shaking, and, if what had happened before was any indication, she was likely about to collapse. Dashing forwards, Ren barely made it, only just catching the girl before she hit the ground. "Oofh" Ren grunted, lowering the girl to the ground, "Look's like I might be hanging round here for a while" She muttered, crouching by the girl. Hooking a rag out of her pocket, Ren wiped away the blood, something that had long since stopped fazing her, having had to do that many times for Seth. Hence the carrying of the rag, along with a few bandages.
But aside from bandaging wounds, Ren didn't actually know much in the way of medical stuff. And so she could only sit and watch, waiting till the girl woke up.
