[OOC] The Link to Reality - An Alfheim Online RP (Always Open!)

Hello and welcome to The Link! I'm Shadowy, your always cheery and hungry GM. This Roleplay is unlike any other Sword Art Online Roleplay you've participated in before. Instead of being trapped in the game, just wandering around and trying to defeat bosses, this Roleplay will focus on the Alfheim Online universe where players can move between the game and real life freely. Basically this roleplay will be a balanced slice of life of the real world and virtual world. Everybody will get a chance to interact with people in the game and outside the game. Maybe to go for coffee and plan the next quest hunt, or hang out and do karaoke and have fun sleepovers! ^~^

This RP takes place during the same time Zekken was alive. Basically the Mothers Rosario part of the anime/manga. I should have mentioned that before. Sorry!

Of course to keep things interesting, I'll be implementing events and quests throughout the duration of the RP. Every Friday I'll have a new quest for people to party up and take on. Each quest will have a new boss, description of the map area where the boss is found, as well as what rewards you can get from completing. I'll be playing as the Quest Bosses as well as my own character: Momo Suzumori. What you do in the game is not limited to just questing. You can do whatever you please pretty much. ^^

Personality: Momo is an extremely quirky girl with a serene disposition and many eccentric beliefs and qualities. Often described as 'a child at heart', she is a complete nonconformist; she lacks a barrier between her brain and mouth, as a result, is not afraid to speak her mind and show who she truly is. This being a rather shy and kind girl with a childlike take on everything. Often times she will do random odd things such as talk to herself or turn away during the middle of a conversation. Despite having the attention span of a rabid squirrel, Momo is also intelligent and unusually perceptive of her friends feelings and thoughts. Her demeanor and voice are often distant and dreamy, and she will drift away from a conversation she does not find interesting. She has an uncanny way of making others uncomfortable by being bluntly honest, or rather embarrassingly honest. If she finds herself stuck in an embarrassing situation, she'll giggle her way out of it. She is completely carefree and rarely seems anxious or under stress, even under difficult circumstances. Momo is very good at comforting others and is usually quite a joy to be around. She has extremely well-developed senses, and an aesthetic appreciation for beauty. She's not interested in leading or controlling others, but more wanting to make everyone else happy. She is flexible and open-minded about other people lives, traditions, stories, etc.. She is also original and very creative and enjoys living in the present moment.

Occupation: She is a part time Art Student, studying to be an Art Teacher one day. Works as a Barista in a restaurant every day but Sunday. Normally online after 8pm. Is online after noon on Sundays.

Bio: Born into a family of strong intellectuals, Momo has always been scolded for being more artistic and not studious. This caused her to have a rather detached relationship with her parents from an early age. After high school her parents cut her off from their wealth and she has been on her own since. She is very self sufficient and pays for herself to go to art school. It's not always easy for her, aND most days she works well past her physical and emotional limit. Alfheim offered her a temporary escape from the toughness of real life, and ash a result, usually avoids conflict in the game. She is content simply running her small shop out of her house in the middle of no where. She is always excited to meet new people, and is currently looking for people to help work her shop when she is offline.

Shop: She owns a coffee shop that she runs in her house in Alfheim Online.

• This is a standard casual rp. I expect at least three good sized paragraphs with your post.
• Everybody is allowed One Character
• Romance is allowed but keep it PG-13 ^///^
• Guess what! Your allowed to kill people in this game! If you want a deul, make it fair and exciting.
• Dont be a meanie or you will get banned. Resolve your disagreements like civilized people XD
• If your going to be gone for an extended period of time, let me know. It's not too hard to move your character someplace out of the way.
• If you want to leave the rp at any time, tell those people who are interacting with you... as I'll probably beg you to stay lol
• If you have any ideas or thoughts for changes you think I should implement, speak up.
• Um... if you read these then good for you! If not then... whatever.

Event Quest: Stingy Bunny!
Location: The Ancient Forest
Boss: Bon-Bon the Easter Bunny - She looks cute and harmless, but when you try to take her easter eggs away, she will get angry and attack you. She is fast and attacks with her feet, but is easily distracted by anything shiny or cute. She has four health bars and when she gets into red, her speed and strength increase. She is the size of a two story building with the appearance of an average 8 year old child.

Boss Reward: Upon defeat, she will allow each player to take one of her easter eggs. Random items and money are inside. There is a rare chance you can obtain the egg of a Navigation Pixie. (There are only three.)

Now as you all know, we are growing near the time to fight this boss. I have divided up the characters in to three teams.

Basically, you only read and respond to the part I have written out for your team. My reactions will be different for each teams depending on how the fighting goes. You must pay attention because you'll look really silly if your in Team 1 and respond to the Team 3 fight. For those of you who don't intend on participating, or can't because you don't post that often, that's fine. Teams will not be changing after the fighting starts however, so do your best regardless of how many are in your team.

On a side note, this is supposed to be a boss geared towards high-level players. Likely those who are too high to just grind on regular mobs, and leech exp off of bosses. You must fight at your best, or I will not give your party the win. It won't be easy obviously, but thats what makes it fun. Be realistic on how much damage your character can take. If I end up attacking you repeadly, you better believe I'll tell you your dead after a while.

Appearance:


A brown-haired girl of a metre seventy, Makoto is of a greater height than the national average of most Japanese females, a trait that she sometimes utilises to intimidate if possible, and puts her on a somewhat equal level with males her age. While not extremely beautiful, she is a rather fair woman, though her constant scowls, deadpan chocolate eyes and disbelieving expressions fail to adequately display prettiness, and instead promote the look of a serious person. She possesses a medium build for her age, one that slightly muscular thanks to her tendency to exercise (for theatre can be quite physically demanding from time to time, especially in lead roles). Her hair is actually rather messy, flowing convolutedly down her neck in a manner that makes the brown mass look as if she never brushes after emerging from bed.

When not wearing her school uniform, Makoto can be found wearing a variety of different clothing, whether they be hoodies, jeans, dresses, blouses, jackets, frog costumes, medieval wear or the like.

When playing Alfheim Online, Makoto (or AntoniusPius) possesses a far more formal appearance, with straighter, neater hair, a more boyish face and wearing a fantastical suit and long dress combination, one fitting of a grand maestro. She also dons a hat from time to time, one that would assist in "cutening" her, had her signature scowls and bland looks not carried over into the game.

Race: Púca

Personality: It is not inaccurate to say that Makoto is especially competent in numerous areas, whether it be schoolwork, sports and the arts (including her favoured theatre). Her skills, in her eyes, justify the rather arrogant attitude she possesses, though she will always seek to act in a dignified manner in order to serve as a good role model for her underclassmen at her school. Yet she can be quite an abrasive jerk at times, usually when dealing with those who she finds annoying or opposed to what she views as right, for no matter how rude she can potentially be, the teenage girl holds a good sense of ethics within her (and may or may act impulsively upon them if they truly pertain to her interests).

Acting is one of the girl's greatest passions, and indeed, she is a master at changing the way she acts, capable of shifting roles immediately depending on the situation. But this fan of theatre (with large focus on Shakespeare) has also utilised this skill of hers to constantly hide away her true emotions, her regrets and all that she does not wish others to know. Makoto is also torn between accepting her Korean heritage and dealing with the discrimination she suffers from her fellow Japanese. She has over the years grown to dislike her background, sometimes having wished that her mother never married a Korean man, but even so takes great pride in it, and loves her father very much. It is a contradictory feeling, and she has yet to truly let go of all the bullying she suffered due to her ethnicity. In order to avoid more of the same, she has taken to identifying by her native Japanese name of Sai Makoto rather than Choi Ha-neul, but she will respond to the latter if called.

Occupation: Student, Theatre Actress

Bio: A second-year student at Yamagawa High School in a small city near Tokyo, Makoto was born to a Korean father and a Japanese mother, a fact that would lead to her constant bullying throughout the majority of her early life. It was difficult making friends, especially when one was somewhat of an outcast. So she decided to focus on her own interests rather than friends, and at the age of ten, would fall in love with Shakespearean theatre, planting the seeds for her future dreams and ambitions. Developing friendships no longer worried her, and Makoto threw herself straight into performing, and by the time she had entered high school, she had become an integral member of the theatre club. She has grown to enjoy playing Alfheim Online as well, frequently logging when she has time to see how well she can act as a different person.

Other: She may or may not have found herself a group of minions to help her perform club duties.

Well it's Easter (though honestly I don't think Japan celebrates it as heavily as the West), so I suppose you could have a holiday event featuring rabbits, egg hunting, egg monsters, Doctor Eggman, chocolate, chocolate monsters, mutant rabbits, et cetera.
