I was under the impression that the guild came to the conclusion that bullets at such a distance should be able to be dodged by even normal people or else it would be no chance for the person without a gun. The only difference is that my character could in fact take some of the bullets, but saying he has to get hit is still a little unfair for a ranked battle, but I guess if you insist he will just eat it.

Whatever the case I won't be able to do anything until after work.

P.S. His sheet doesn't mention enhanced physical abilities while in his armor (well, maybe in passing) so he's stuck with his physical characteristics listed, which is around peak human in a balanced way and very swift reactions.

I don't remember the guild saying you could dodge bullets as a rule, if anything the conversation was surrounding how guns are OP, and they would be if it wasn't for the fact that your character is heavily blast resistant and therefore on a tier level where the speed of bullets is inconsequential.

My Mech is powerful because it has computerized targeting systems, making a 'dodge' in a conventional sense difficult for anything but the fastest opponents, but it is more than balanced out by your character's ability to sponge high ordinance, which is comparatively much stronger than my mech's durability.

In future just stand behind something, or make something in front of you, if you don't want to get shot while standing out in the open. Even a T2 sniper would have a decent chance of hitting you in those circumstances.

If you think I'm out of line in saying your dodge wouldn't work against my bullets though feel free to ask Judge Rilla, as this is a ranked battle.

In this case it will be fine to have no dodge chance, but if my character didnt have massive speed or defense then it counts as an auto kill against that character unless they hide, but that's what you get for challenging a gun, I guess. I definitely won't be doing so again unless under these specific circumstances.

That's kind of the point, I would never agree with a character like mine in anything less than T5/6 at which point people should be relatively resistant to high speed projectiles.

Though a bullet isn't an instant kill in most places even on an ordinary human, your character can shoot fire which definitely is, try to keep that in mind as it's all relative.

Fire wouldn't instantly kill someone, I wouldn't think, at these levels, so if someone can get past the agony they could likely get in a last couple of attacks.

Portals only work on surfaces coated in moon dust. That shows you for not being nerdy enough to know that obscure fact!

@ImportantNobodyI am perfectly aware that portals from the portal gun only work on smooth surfaces, and moon dust/moon dust paste make for good portal surfaces, but Scion uses a different portal device. Scion's portals just functions in a relatively similar way. Also I love Wheatley. He was such and amazing idiot.

Aha! But you thanked Cave Johnson, thus implying you were using his technology! And furthermore....

...okay, that's enough of this conversation.

@ImportantNobodyAww. I love going on about random nerdy things. I also can't sleep. Despite the fact I really need to. So, I am paroling the guild to pass a little time. May or may not be letting ideas of epic wars, eldrich horrors, and crumbling universes fill my mind as I plot the downfall of everything and everyone from the shadows. What about you. What are your plans for the future of the arena?

I haven't read all that backstory stuff yet so I don't know. Right now I'm just doing some individual battles.

@ImportantNobody I haven't read everything yet, but since I'm spending less time Role playing. I'm instead using my time to do research. So recently I've been researching the people you and Barti are fighting, and the characters in the HQ Lobby thread. I have decided to only research your other characters as they come up, or when I have extensive free time, because there are just so freaking many of them!

I'll start up my character a days again pretty soon and will stop at 200 to fix up/draw my characters. I have some good ones planned up. I'd suggest only looking at my highest ranked ones because most of the c ranks probably won't show up at all, although some have. I will do some editing on what rank I have them in, maybe tomorrow, because there's been some changes.

I'm wondering how Evvie will fit into this canon.

@ImportantNobodyIn a multi-dimensional universe setting. You can make anything fit. It is just a matter of motive and interaction. Also I will try to read them by rank then. However that is it for me tonight. I will work on this more tomorrow.

I'm making the comparison between my Mech's gun which you said is unfair because it would kill someone of a lower defense and your own character's fire attacks. Only one of these weapons is a clear-cut insta-kill to lower tiers.

Here's your 40 MM bullet:

If any character without insane health related abilities says they manage to survive such a bullet that hits anywhere in their torso or head (even getting hit in the leg or arm would likely cause them to bleed out in moments as the limb is taken off), I'd call that person's claims dubious at best.

I'm aware of the damage potential of the round, but lava is hot enough to combust a human being just from proximity, not to mention burning gases destroying your lungs and all manner of other terrible options. If you gave an ordinary human (even one wearing a bullet proof vest) the option of having a bucket of lava thrown over them or being shot by a 40mm round, which do you honestly think they would take their chances with?
