Lady Violetta smiled as she spoke to Desirae
"Yes, I'll be choosing a pet and to get some of my favorite sweets. Yes, Skotadi? You have a question for me?" Lady Violetta spoke as she looked around the room. Soon they will be departing for the Village. She had a quick lecture then she would lead them down and show them where the carts are parked.

Mystique couldn't thing of a thing to ask so she was quiet last night. She hurried through her nightly ritual- thanks to things found in the shower room. Soon she was in bed.....
The loud announcement woke her up rather quickly. Mystique got dressed and ready to go. Her PLTs was in its pouch, her wand in it's sleeve, the cloak was fastened on with a Academy Brooch. She only paused long enough to catch her breath before spiraling down to the main level. A mad dash to the dining room to find all kinds of goodies on the buffet table. She wanted to eat and go but Lady Mystique was already talking to other students.

Thomas came down with his brilliant blue guitar strapped on his back. He waved quietly to a few students as he went through to the buffet table. He loaded up with a wholesome breakfast since he did not know what else he had to do that day.

Desirae had a amazing sleep that night despite that it was her first night there. She dreamt of all the things that would be at the village and all the things that she would never of had the opportunity for. An alarm rang in her ear and she woke up quickly. "Oh shit, I better be quick", she mumbled to herself. She grabbed her wand and ran all the way to the dining hall. She got her breakfast, then sat down to listen to what Lady Violetta had to say. She always loved listening to her.

"Yes, I do, I was going to ask how long do we have in the village? I was also going to ask if there is a library in Caldwell's," Skotadi asked cheerfully, she was in a much better mood than yesterday and was excited at the thought of a library.

Lady Violetta spoke to Skotadi.
"There are wondrous things in the Village and new things are being made everyday. One of the newest inventions is the Virtual Library. It might be out today in the General Store. But as far as a general library like back on Earth, the answer is no. I have a few inventors that are reinventing new items.
EVERYONE! Let us head to the Village. The Village is in the basement of this building which means that I will lead you down there and Thomas will bring up the rear. Follow me please!"

"Pardon me," Elizabeth said. "But it sounded as if you said that the village was in the basement. How could such a thing be true?"

And perhaps it was true, if this was truly a magical world. Perhaps magic meant more than simply casting spells, and the world itself was full of things she thought were impossible. Elizabeth would have to wait and see. She continued to follow.

Skotadi was upset that there wasn't a library, that was the one place that she always enjoyed being, the one place where she could be at peace and it was gone. She felt that magic would never be able to replace it but she knew that it would be a bit pathetic to want to leave this place just because of it not having a library, and anyway, she figured that in the future she could always find a way to get this place a library. For now she followed Lady Violetta down towards the basement to get to the village, she was however curious to know how a village could possibly fit inside a basement but then she thought to herself," Well, if they only have virtual libraries then they more than likely have virtual villages," she didn't like this thought one bit but that was the only way that she was able to explain it.

"I know that it is hard to figure out how a whole village in a basement but it has been done. Think of it like a huge building with many floors. Each floor has various stores or apartments. Then you realize it is not so different from Earth, only recreated with different aspects." Lady Violetta spoke softly.
"Skotadi, what makes a library a library? All it is is a place where books are located. A virtual library is a library that travels with you. Not one building on Earth can hold all of the books ever written. A virtual library holds more books than the largest library in the world.
Now let us go so that we can see what pets there are and get our items."

Before anyone else could ask another question, Lady Violetta spoke to the Spiral Staircase.
"The Village, please." and she went swirling downwards until she came to a stop. Quickly, she stepped off to one side.

“Step to one side, please as you arrive. “ Lady Violetta warned as each of them arrive.
"Now that all of us are here, open your PLTs. You will have a list to fulfill and a specialized cart to put items in. The cart will have a special device that you will use to claim a cart. Again the process is the same as your PLTs.
As you place the items in the cart, just scan them. It will highlight the items as you scan them. The aisles will be placed by each item on the list. If you want an item that is not on the list just type it in the search bar. Anything that is related to the item will show up. On this trip, I am allowing you to have extra items and money free. After this you will be given an allowance to use for your own things. You don’t even have to return the cart for it will belong to you. After you park your cart here- minus your pet- in a parking spot assigned to you by the Castle. That spot will send the cart to your room. In your room is a small cart closet. The Assigned Cart is the same number as your room.
Just check your list and you will be fine. You have three hours and then the lights begin to turn out slowly, starting in the farthest areas first. I will see you back up stairs later. Have fun!"

Skotadi quickly skimmed through her list on her PLT and then took the number 14 cart, she headed off to the the General Store first as it was the furthest away. Looking at her list it seemed that in this store she needed to get a book bag, some cell phone accessories, room decor, clothes, Calligraphy supplies and basically anything else that she wanted. In the end she came out of the General Store with a zentangle animal themed book bag with her favourite colours on it (red and blue), a blue, cell phone case with a black tattoo owl on it, several pairs of black jeans, a few long sleeved and sleeveless tops in many different colours (not including pink or grey), a pair of black with blue flames decorated high tops and a black leather jacket. She also got everything that she could possibly need for her Calligraphy study, a black piano shaped lounge, a large blue lava lamp and a red circle rug.

Next she went to Pets Plus and did the same thing, she bought everything that she needed off of the list. She first bought the most important thing at Pets Plus, the dragon egg, it would be a fire riding dragon. Next she bought a black dragon bed with a red flame design on it, a red food locker, dragon Pet Chow, a fireproof rabbit shaped dragon toy and a fireproof muzzle and leash. Afterwards she went to the Wand Shoppe where she bought a mahogany wand stand along with everything else she could possibly need to keep her wand in the best condition possible. This included cleaning cloths, wax, polish, a carry case and a protective sleeve. In the end she still had some time so she decided to go to the cafe to get a drink. At first she just sat at the table, thinking, but then she decided that she would get a cappuccino and so she did, it was absolutely delicious and foamy, after she had finished she put the cart in it's spot and headed back up stairs.

Ayaka followed the group and asked the staircase to take her to the village. She read through the list on her PLT, but for some reason the first thing she really wanted to do was pick out a pet. Before doing anything though, Ayaka looked around for Mystique. She wanted to see if her friend wanted to go shopping with her. Hopefully, she hadn't already started though.

Now he really knew he was tired, when he was walking towards his door to leave he had almost mistaken his closet for the door out.

But at the moment Jak was following the rest of the group down to a 'village' of sorts this amused Jak greatly because how can one have a village in their basement it just wasn't possible but probably in this case if the teachers and other staff members at this school were all Wizards and Witches that would be slightly possible in Jak's books but for now he just was quietly listening to the tyrant Lady Violetta make her speech on the village that must be so important that she had to talk for an eon in his eyes.

He wondered if this was a kind of test, were they supposed to destroy the village? Most likely not but there is always a possibility when it comes to this school in general.

Jak yawned bored out of his mind and still very tired from his night of restlessness and sleep deprivation but he shouldered it like any other Demonic humanoid could and all of his kind can deal with a little sleep loss.

But for now they were going to see a village.

"Ayaka!Wait up for me. Aren't these carts the neatest thing you ever did see? The PLTs fits right here in the handles. Lets go get our pets then see what they need." Mystique spoke eagerly as she easily wheeled out the cart and headed towards the Pet Plus Shop.

Lady Violetta started at the general Store and got all of her supplies for the next semester including the newest technology- The Virtual Library. It has the capacity to down load many books but the books are pre-selected so that the students did not get certain banned books. All the she had to select the ones that she wanted from the list and type the code into her PLTs which in return downloads the book in her new Virtual Library.
Lady Violetta headed to the Pets Plus and felt a tug towards a particular egg. She carefully picked up the egg and a small voice called out….Momma?
She placed the egg nesting box then began to gather the much needed items. According to the ribbon the hatchling would be a personal gem finding dragon. She bought the 3 levels of gems and other games for the little one. All of the treats, food locker and food…….
Her next stop was at the Sweet Shoppe. She just loved those Froggers and the Chocolate Covered Ants were great as well. Creepers were a good laugh when a new student opens one. She hoped to see at least one or two get excited over the Candy Specialties.
Lady Violetta bought plenty of extras because she planned on giving out some of her candy as rewards or enticements for good work. She sat down on a bench near the shop so that she could watch what happens if a student opens a candy… Such fun!

Ayaka was glad her friend didn't already start. "Yeah. The whole idea of an entire village being in the basement is kind of neat. Of course, I'm excited to see what pets they have." She wheeled her own cart out and followed behind Mystique to the Pet Plus Shop. "I can't wait to pick out a pet."

"I hope to get a kitten. I could even sleep with it." Mystique giggled. as she headed towards the pets. "I need to get a dragon egg too since I am going to be in the Draconic side as well. Dragons should take a lot of time but kittens shouldn't. What kind of a pet are you thinking of?"

Elizabeth was unsure of the Lady's answer, and the truthfulness in it. Perhaps the village did simply reside in a sufficiently spacious basement. Perhaps there was something more to it that the Lady had chosen not to share or, indeed, had not the knowledge to share. In a world inhabited by dragons and magic, it seemed as though all things were possible. Then again, even this world had its own fundamentals of which magic could not hope to bend. This was just another galaxy, and even with its magics, entropy was still produced. However, without knowledge of the basics of this world, Elizabeth could not come up with any concrete answers, let alone a correct answer.

For now, there was the concern of what she would buy in the village. It was a quaint, magical looking place. It was all one would expect. She took her cart, numbered 14, and began her trek.

First, Elizabeth went to the wand store. The clerk gave her the usual platitudes, and Elizabeth went on her way. Elizabeth aimed for effectiveness, and not style, unless the role was to appear glorious. For now, a sturdy white wand would do. It seemed to be in good order, and well worth the price. She grabbed a few cases of wax and polish; she would need those for sure. Then an aisles of cases grabbed her eyes. A case, dominated by a white, intricate pattern caught her eyes. From the looks of it, it was based on a type of advanced geometry, woven into beautiful patterns. It would fit nicely for Elizabeth. Then all she needed was a protective sleeve. She took a white one. Then she made her purchase and bid the clerk farewell as she moved on to the next stop.

Elizabeth headed towards the pet and supplies store. Once again, a clerk greeted her with platitudes, but this clerk filled their voice with emotion, as if they meant it. Elizabeth took a look at all the pets. Fascinating indeed, but for some reason or another she turned each one down, until she arrived at the Arcane Hound. The clerk explained that it could communicate intelligently, and that was good enough. Elizabeth browsed the store, and decided it would probably be necessary to have a leash. However, she would not have it so one of her companions would go around with a muzzle. She bought a cage as well, with a lock, and it would function more as a deterrent than as a practical device, if all went as planned. Then after buying the proper food, Elizabeth made her purchases and left.

Elizabeth arrived at the general store, and once again, more platitudes. She grabbed a book bag, just in case she would need such a thing. Moving on to room decor, Elizabeth decided that a white wallpaper would do fine. Yes, Elizabeth intended to reside in a completely white room. But enough of that, there was deal with clothes. She picked out a few robes, flowing and magical-looking. She made it so that she would fit into this world, as she had left her old world behind and become renewed. Although I was partial to the pan flute, she chose the guitar. Alone it was powerful, and when as a part of a whole, it was unifying. Then she took all the pens, and pencils, and paper, and ink she would need for calligraphy.

With that dealt with, Elizabeth headed for the lot. She placed it where it fit, and went on her way to the cafe. She was glad she was done, yet uneasy at the same time. That was due to Elizabeth still being unsure of many things. She wanted things to be over quickly, but she knew that was an impossibility.

"Waiter!" she said. "I'll have a cherry coke and a ham sandwich. Yes, thank you."

"Certainly ma'am," he said. "Although I must say, you're looking worse for wear today."

"You probably get a lot past people with your good looks and coquettish grin, but you've run out of luck today," I said.

"Well, I'll get on that order," he said, and he slid away.

"I don't know yet, but I grew up around cats so I think I might try something different. Maybe a puppy?" Ayaka said as she started looking at some of the pets. Sure she looked at the kittens too, however didn't feel any want of getting one. At some point while walking around the store, a frost wolf pup walked to the front of his cage as she walked by. Ayaka noticed and felt immediately drawn to it. "I don't know why, but I feel I must have this one."

"So this is called a frost wolf?" Ayaka looked in her PLT for information about the frost wolf. It definitely was going to be different than taking care of a cat, but Ayaka already knew that. She walked around the pet store picking up things like toys and anything else she needed to take care of it.

"What did you end up getting?" Ayaka asked Mystique when they were both done shopping in the pet store. "I ended up getting a frost wolf."

Wynn looked through the list of items on PLT, it was rather long for sure and had several things on it he thought were unnecessary. Did he really need a stand for his wand? Shrugging he grabbed his appropriately numbered cart and went shopping. After browsing wands for a while he gave up and simply grabbed the nearest one he could find, a green wand that had swirling patterns on it. He quickly grabbed a care kit, a stand, and both a carrying case and a protective sleeve, both green as well. Couldn't be too safe after all, in particular since he wasn't spending any money. Next he made his way to the pet store, supposedly since he was a draconic student he would get a dragon at some point. Was that supposed to be now? He saw that the shop did have a bunch of eggs. Figuring why not, Wynn grabbed an icy blue egg and shopped accordingly buying dragon chow, a blue food locker, a pet bed, some sort of "dragon toy", and a leash. It looked like he needed some sort of gem finding thing as well, he bought that and looked around some more. He might need more stuff later but they could come back later if they needed to right?

Lets see, next he needed a brown book bag, cell phone accessories? Nah he hadn't even had a cell phone before he got here, he didn't need any accessories. A couple of clothes in varied colors, he didn't really care that much, as long as he had t-shirts and shorts he was good. Instrument? Eh, he always wanted to learn how to play a ocarina. Wynn happened to notice some calligraphy items, so he grabbed a fancy quill and an ink well as well as some fancy paper. Personal items? Hmm, maybe he could grab some games or books. Wynn wondered if there were any computer games, he'd never had a chance to play those before. Well he could worry about it later, he settled on two books, one titled "Bartimous Fowl", and the other titled "How to Tame Your Dragon". And finally, sweets. Alright, he had no problem with that, he went in to the candy shop and browsed around. There were a bunch of normal candies but then there were some weird candies. Like rats.

Curious he grabbed one of each of the things he hadn't seen before and made his way over to the village cafe and checked his PLT one more time. Looked like everything on the list he had bought. Satisfied he closed the PLT and managed to grab the attention of a waitress, "Um, could I get some Spaghetti with some garlic bread and water? I'm part of teacher Violetta's class." The waitress nodded and quickly brought his food without a word. "Thanks." Wynn called out as she left. He took a deep breath, shopping? Check. Food? Check. He was good to go, so he eagerly dug into his food. Taking a sip of water he took a look around and noticed that somebody else had already finished their shopping as well. Hmm, it was that girl that was asking about ruling a country or something. He briefly debated the merit of going over and talking to her but she seemed like the kind that just wanted to be left to their own ends. So he simply continued eating.

"I found this warm firekitten. It looked like it was so lonely that I just had to adopt him. I'm going to call him Ember. I got way more than he needs but I couldn't resist.
Let's get the rest of our stuff. " Mystique spoke softly as she petted the tiny kitten.

Thomas was very efficient and had bought his items as he thought about what to teach the students. A Virtual Library was on his must have list. He hoped that all students would get one. He went to the Pet Shop last or nearly last......

"Yeah, I felt like I just had to have this one out of all the other frost wolves for some reason. I think I'm going to call him Rikami. I hope I got everything he needs though." Ayaka did check the suggested list on her PLT for taking care of a frost wolf multiple times, so things should be good. "Of course, where to next?"

Ember pawed at Mystique for attention.
"Oh Ember, you want to play a bit? Such a silly little kitten. I am going to get some treats out for you but you must sit in the cart. " Mystique spoke as she put a few treats on the seat. The rest of the package went in the treat pouch.
"Let's finish up so that we can go back up and decorate our rooms." she suggested.

"Sure thing." Ayaka looked at the list for what else they need. "Looks like we need a wand kit , a few things from the General Store, and maybe some sweets from the Sweet Shoppe. I'm thinking of saving the General Store for last to be honest." She had a feeling she'd take the longest in there. Unless Mystique wanted to go there right now, Ayaka's mind was set on going there last. Rikami barked trying to get Ayaka's attention during the conversation.

"I can't play right now," she pet the puppy's head. The pup just barked happily at her in response still wanting to play. "Rikami's in a playful mood," Ayaka said laughing a little. She picked him up out of the cart, put his leash on him and set him on the ground so he can walk hoping that'll satisfy him until she has the time to play with him.
