Erion listened to what was being said and looked at the summoner and Robin. He listened to what Robin was saying, and just breath deeply. He understood why he wanted to give some time off to everyone. With how the moral was all around and how everyone was feeling... continuing to work and travel will cause lot of people to give up hope even more. People here needed hope, something to believe in... something to tell them that they will be able to continue to live. It was already hard enough that the 2 commanders left and that other group also... we did not need to have more deserters here. The group needed to have help. It needed to be able to have faith again. He looked as one group seem to have joined them. He smiles softly. It was good to have more people here that could help out. We needed all the help we could get.

Quill glanced around at the others she traveled with and those she just joined. She was mildly confused. What exactly did she sign up for? She snuggled Tobias in her arms and looked around for someone, anyone, to help her out. She tried talking to some of the higher up soldier-types, but they begin running around doing other things.

"I don't know where to go from here," she said to no one in particular. Tobias whined and she hugged him close again, "It's all right. We'll see if there's a watering hole or some entertainment tent around here we can crash in, if need be. We'll need the rest, apparently."

As the day progressed, the camp remained a somewhat odd environment for the warriors. The guards have been reduced to a skeleton crew, and the overall mood was that of uncertainty. Though it didn't take long for the soldier's to take their opportunity to relax and spend time with their loved one's. Before anyone knew it, darkness had fallen upon them and everyone was settling down. At this point, the first watch was only a few armed men, each seeming a little more rested than previously. Still, one couldn't help but notice the lack of security about the camp. It was even more surprising when the second watch had been canceled. As the night began to advance in silence, many thought the worst was over.

It was then, a shrill whistle echoed over the camp grounds.

Arus leapt to his feet leaving the bowl of stew he'd been slowly consuming behind and sprinted to the command tent. He didn't know what was going on, but he knew his orders. In consderation of them he'd chosen a campfire relativly close by the tent so he wouldn't have as far to travel. So Arus quickly arrived at the command tent and entered Robin's sleeping area, feeling rude but intent on following orders he shook Robin awake saying, "The whistle sounded." If Robin had known about the whistle why hadn't he just stayed awake? Had it only been a guess? Even though wouldn't he stay awake to confirm it? Well, Robin always had a plan, Arus would just have to trust his commander to get him through yet another unknown situation.

Erion, who was asleep, but lightly, suddenly jolted awake when he heard the whistle. He looked around confused before getting up. Something might be wrong.. He headed to the stables and then got to Rose's stable, who was awake right now. It seemed the whistle did wake her up also. He opened the gate and then got onto her, before heading out and then moving to the middle of town, wondering what the heck was going on. Usually a whistle meant a warning about something that was going to attack... so he had to be ready for battle right now. He just hoped he didn't wake up for nothing here.

Somehow, I ended up sleeping in front of my tent rather than in it. Just as well, though, as the whistle woke me up. I caught a glimpse of Erion running over to his trusty chocobo, and Arus heading into the command tent. I didn't really feel like moving right now, but I somehow managed to shuffle there. Dang tiredness... I wanted to show that I'm ready and willing to attack stuff, dang it! I thought as my feet slowly made it to where we all needed to be right now. It was midnight, or perhaps later, I couldn't really tell given my state of mind. Once I actually got to the tent, my main focus was just trying to get rid of this stupid tiredness. I knew there had to be a reason that the whistle was blown... people don't just blow that thing as a prank, and if they did, they're probably going to be in a lot of trouble as a result. I eventually got back to my usual, energetic self, and looked around for anyone I recognized. My short size worked as a disadvantage, and I couldn't really see over anyone's head... it really didn't help that I ended up at, or near the back row. What in the world is this about? Are we under attack? If we are, how come I didn't see anyone on my way here? Oh, right, I was tired and probably not paying attention... maybe I should make sure these people aren't zombies, now that I think about it. I think as I try to make absolute sure that the person, or, rather, that the Viera in front of me was not a zombie. She didn't appreciate that, but I did end up confirming that, in fact, she was still alive.

Quill heard the sharp whistle sound and Tobias started to whimper and fidget in her arms. She looked around to see what all the commotion was about. She followed the crowd of people who ran towards the direction the whistle intended them to get to.

As the whistle slowly died, the sound of moving bodies and heavy murmuring would win over as the camp hustled to find the purpose to the abrupt noise. It seemed like many were clueless as to why the camp had been awoken, but others seem purposeful, rallying the once sleeping soldiers to their arms and helping ready the mounts and equipment. As the bulk of the forces began to amass in the clearing near the woods, those with expert hearing could hear the subtle rustling of something in the trees. Closer and closer the sound would approach as well as seeming to grow to multiple different source. Quill, Erion, and Robert stood amongst the many, the dog in the dancer's arms growing restless. It was this that drew the attention of some of the natives of Ivalice, casting glares in her direction.

"Silence the mutt! Lest you bring whatever blight this is upon us!" A piggish-being spoke out, adding an abrupt snort afterwards as his eyes stared daggers at the woman. Shortly after, a dragon-winged woman would reach out and touch his shoulder.

"Save your breath. What approaches is already aware I'd wager." She took a moment to glance back to the dancer, offering a slight smile and nod before turning her attention forward. The others seemed to follow suit, discarding their ire as they faced into the trees once more.

@Evanist

As the moogle sat upon his steed, the feathered bird trilled nervously as she shifted her stance about. Despite her obvious anxiety, she stood firm as other mounted warriors gathered beside Erion. They faced forward into the trees, each one sat upon chocobo or horse, the wyvern's agitated growling could be heard from the stables behind the growing cavalry. A well-armored man adorned with a white cloak that swayed loosely behind him road up in front of the line, lifting a hand before calling out to the gather forces.

"Steady your beasts! We act only as support for the infantry here. The trees hinder our ability to charge the enemy." With this, his horse neighed, causing the man to grip onto the reigns tightly, "Blasted foreign beast... Now," His gaze returned to the troops and Erion, "If you spy a line of archers or mages, don't hesitate to announce their presence and I'll coordinate a strike upon them. If not, we strike the enemy from the flank once the engagement begins."

At this, the troops shouted sir in broken waves, a mixture of neighing and squawking erupting from the line.

@Lugia

Jo-Anne sighed heavily as her vision settled forward once more, Robert could hear the rustling in the woods faintly over the shouts of leaders and the mixed calls of the beasts on the flank. Though darkness had taken over, the dim moonlight mixed with torches from the camp showed him shadows of something human-like skulking through the woods. Though he couldn't get a clear view of the band, he could see the faint glean of metal and the arcane shimmer of what appeared to be spells being prepared as the words of mages began to fall upon his ears. It soon became obvious this was indeed an assault.

@Eklispe

As Robin awoke with a start, he'd begin wiping the sleep from his eyes as they slowly began to focus on Arus. For a moment he seem confused, "Arus? What are you?" Then as the sound of movement began to reach the inner folds of the tents, Robin glanced outside as he mumbled, "Sooner then I expected. I hope we're ready." At this point her stood, walking over to a chest placed at the corner of the room, opening it swiftly as he tossed on his robes. Shortly after he'd retrieve his tome and sword, placing both in position at his side before rejoining Arus.

"Well tactician, it seems your wit has paid off. I was concerned this would not work," At this point, the green robed summoner entered, fully prepared as if he had never slept, "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. Though there is still no guarantee that this will work in our favor." The summoner seemed skeptical, despite his smile and swagger. He placed a hand over an unfamiliar jeweled scepter at his side, it seemed to glow faintly at his touch.

"Yes, well we'll see. If I'm wrong, we won't have to wait long. But I am confident, and with luck and skill, we'll win out." With this, the strategist turned to exit the tent, the summoner following closely. Before letting the linen flap fall, the man turned back to face Arus, "Are you coming? Every sword is welcomed. Especially one so diligent." With a confirming nod and a friendly smile, Robin waited.

A link is formed between those who value their duty above all else.

Erion nodded before going forwards ,going to search in the trees, trying to see what was going on, worried right now, but was extra careful. Last thing he needed was to be ambushed by some of the creatures. Rose stayed calm as she moved, looking around a bit also. At least everyone seemed ready to move. He hoped Robert would be ok, as well as everyone else. He looked around more, worried. He had his lance in his hands, ready to be used.

Arus permitted himself a small smile at Robin's praise. It was a rare thing to receive praise from the master tactician himself. Arus followed Robin out, unsheathing his sword as he did so. "Lead on Robin." He still wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it was obvious Robin and the Ivalice commander knew, so that was good enough for him.
