[IC] Not Your Average Fairy Tale

James nodded at what had been said. "I do agree that we need clothes first but I would like to meet this 'Great Sage'. But then again we do need proper attire..." James trailed off into a train of thought and stopped to admire the majesty of the world around him. He clenched his fist angry at himself for ending up like this. Then it happened.

His hand set a blaze in a glorious Navy blue flame. He tried to panic, before realizing it didn't hurt, then just as quickly as it came, it was gone.

Alex would role over with another moan and his eyes would flicker open. He would see Terra standing over him, "AHH ALIEN," he would push himself backwards through the burning grass and glance around quickly. Raising one hand he would pinch himself, then slap himself and then yank on his ear. He was thinking maybe he got drugged and he was hallucinating or something. Maybe this was a hidden camera reality TV show or a prank.

"Whats going on? Whatever this is, its not funny. So take me….wait am i the one creating these flames." Alex noticing the burning grass around him would pick up a flower and place it in his hand. It would start to smoulder before igniting in a ball of smoke. "COOL!"

(Is it appropriate to sing Uptown Funk here? You know, "I'm too hot, HOT DAMN")

"Am I not going home?" she thought as Terra flashed her an odd grin, a wave of worry flushing over her. She'd never been homesick before, but she'd never wanted to wrap her arms around her mother as much as she did now. She stood up finally and squinted in the horizon, trying to look through but noticing that there was a crack in her glasses. Damn it! And she'd just gotten new ones! Fine, fine, ignore the crack. She looks into the distance and suddenly thinks, "This land is really nice, so unique, so whimsy..." But anyway, she finally decided to pay attention to the conversation that was going on; which was about clothing, to fit in. She didn't want to fit in, but she didn't want to make a scene about it...yet.

The disappointing look that was displayed on Basco's face was not really that he couldn't get his answer now about going back to the real world, it was more of the fact that he was a satyr and didn't become something cool like the dragon or the two guys who seemingly had almost the same ability of fire with the difference of color in them. At first, he didn't respond to what Terra said as she went to wake up Alex.

Basco then turned his attention to James as he spoke up to him. "Hey! Blue flame, hey I'm down with going to see the...Great Mage." Turning his attention to the others that were close by "How about it? You guys can get clothes but...seeing that this fur is already covering up my....parts...I'm ready to travel to find this mage. Not too thrilled about being a half goat but...its whatever..." He spoke seeing how the others would feel. "what other choices do we have?"

Daena slowly flew back down in time to hear the conversation. She and Daemon looked at eachother and shrugged. Finally calming down a bit, Daena grew back to her original size, but her wings didn't leave her body. She looked down and saw a little fairy outfit covering her up. Then she looked at Daemon and noticed he was not clothed. She looked back at the half goat guy and said "well, I've got nothing else to lose right?"

Daemon shrugged and said "I need clothes, but after that I'd like to join you." Daena stood up and looked over at Terra with a soft smile. "Thank you for the help."

Lavinia shrugged "It seems that the one who will have answers is the Great Mage" she said casually, she hadn't truly noticed how many around her had no clothes, she however had this thing that looked more like a leathery rag from some barbarian movie covering her.

"I also am in no rush to go home, I like being whatever I am now" truth was, in real life she was quite short, being 7 ft tall had its advantages

James took this in with ease. He directed his attention to Basco; "Excuse me, but if books and movies have told me anything, it's that if you are sentient, though you can have fur, no matter what it is correfct to wear clothes. It's just personal preference, but it would be nice to see everyone's own unique styles."

James turned and thought about what he'd wear. Maybe some armour, no. He could make fire, that means he could cast magic, a mage. Then a robe, yes... but blue. He smiled at the the thought of a blue robe.

Jacinta listened to Terra's explanations, looking at each member of the group in turn as their question were answer, not until that moment noticing some of them were not wearing clothes. At least she wasn't alone? Well on the appearing from nowhere thing not the no clothes thing, lucky for her. With each clothless person she looked away slightly. "This 'Great Sage' has answers and I'm wearing clothes so I'll go with whomever is going to see this wonderful ruler,' she says, with usual soft-spoken tone

Lavender shook her head as Alex and James and sighed out a cold cloud.

"Great we get two hot heads," Lavender said jokingly, "Bowser and Hades. The 'Flaming Hot Duo' and I mean hot by temperature not the other."

She decided to stick with those nicknames until they said otherwise.

"Yeah I would like to meet the Great Mage too but I need clothes. Could we meet up with you at the Great Mage for those who are already attired?"

She narrowed her eyes on Basco about the fur remark.

“Dragons often frequent the Sun Empire, as many live in the neighboring kingdom known as Angels’ Rest. She will not be out of place at all,” Terra states simply to Lavender.

“I would be glad to take all of you to the Great Mage, and luckily the store room is on the way. We could simply stop there during our travel to her. When we see her, you would certainly be welcome to ask her any questions about getting home, if that is what you desire, though I fear the answer would not be what some of you are looking for.”

Terra nods somberly to Daena in response to her thanks. “It is the least I could do, given the circumstances. I am terribly sorry about all of this on behalf of the Great Mage, and any sorrow it may have caused you.”

Nyra stumbled and tumbled down, landing on her wing. She whimpered, rolling back upright. "This is too weird..." She grumbled, surprised that her voice didn't seem, well... beastly. At least there was one normal thing. The thought of clothes rolled around in her mind. Wait, there were no clothes for dragons. Why a dragon? why couldn't she be something more human? Nyra looked sadly at her claws.

Lavender walked up to Nyra and put her hand on the scaly shoulder of the girl turned dragon.

"Hey don't look so gloom," Lavender said trying to comfort Nyra, "At least you look more majestic than the saytr. It will just take some getting used to for all of us."

Even though the guys will probably have more fun with this. Even though I am finding this all exciting too. Why not be excited with a new start? Lavender thought of home and missed her brother and parents. He was still living at home and she planned on moving out the following year so maybe this would be practice for being away from the comfort at home.

Nyra sighed and looked up at Lavender. She guessed it was kinda cool to be a dragon. She remember her books that had dragons in it. They were filled with dragon riders, people who could turn into dragons, and dragons with magical abilities. Maybe she might have an ability she does not know yet. Nyra smiled. "You're right."

Paige, now focused on the topic of clothing, looked down on herself to see that her outfit was a bit unusual. She was clothed in a pretty common outfit she'd normally wear back in the real world; a shoulderless top, and a knee-length flared skirt. But other than that, she was barefoot, and her ordinary outfit was covered by a long cloak, dragging behind her for around a foot. The cloak was a dull grey, with some imprints on it. Swirls, to be exact. Blue and white swirls embroidered on the hood and sleeves. She looked around her once more...other humans, like her, but also a dragon, a nymph, a fairy? What more would come out of this "Yun" place?

Hearing that some agreed to go on the journey to seen out the Mage, Basco gave a smirk seeing that the others just about had the same mindset but of coarse, everyone was still concerned about their clothing as nothing could be done until some were able to be covered up, Not that Basco was complaining. Seeing the dragon stumbling around, and trying to get accustomed to the new form, Basco kinda looked on in envy wishing he could've become a werewolf or something better than what he was. I mean, it's didn't make him feel any better knowing that Lavender, one of the more human looking ones told the dragon that being a dragon was better than what he was. It was a little upsetting but even he couldn't deny that. So...he was just going to go along with what everyone else was going to do but another question came to Basco's mind

"umm...Little Miss Terra, knowing that there are all kinds of creatures here...are there chances that not all of the creatures here will be friendly? I mean...will there be a chance we run into hostile ones? are there enemies of this empire you speak about?"

Alex was putting things into his open palm to see how quickly he could set fire to them. He looked up and saw the dragon with a jump. "Hey guys I'm not hallucinating am I, that is a dragon right?" He got up and would walk over to it and stand in front of it. "Can it breath fire? can it fly? What does it eat?" Alex didn't seem to realise that the dragon was in fact a human that had become the dragon so he directed his questions at Terra.

James followed everyone's lead and got ready to go. He saw Alex and sighed. Stupidity was something he was used to. It apppeared that he hadn't even paid attention to anything that had been said or done.
"Half-assed arsonist." He muttered under his breath.

Nyra backed up some from Alex, startled by the sudden questions. But they were not questions directed at her, like she was some kind of animal. Well... she was but with sentience! Nyra growled. "I can talk."

Lavender put her hand to her head hearing and watching what Alex did to Nyra. She snicked at what James said and decided to let Nyra handle the situation herself. Looking to Basco Lavender spaced out a little in thought. I hope he didn't take offense to what I said about satyrs being less majestic looking. Yeah dragons look cooler but satyrs have their shining moments too. But why did he have to make that clothing remark? I am not sure if I find it crude or just plainly oblivious to others.

”Please try to have some manners,” Terra says gently to Alex, “Everyone here is just as confused as you are.” Terra sighs, shaking her head briefly.

“There is a welcome place for everyone in Yun. No one species is greater than the others. Citizens prove their worth through actions and kindness, not their physical or magical attributes. Who you are has not changed, even if you look different now.” Terra calmly folds her arms, robes pooling around her once more. She walks a little ways down the field, back to be in front of everyone.

“If you are all ready, we can begin our travels to the store room, and after that, the Great Mage. It is not far from here, just a half mile or so down this path,” terra announces, gesturing to the stone masonry embedded into the ground by the edge of the trees.

She is stopped in her tracks by Basco’s question. Mildly, she replies, “There are dangers in our wonderful Empire as surely as anywhere else, but we are in a very safe place right now. You will not run into any enemies here, but if you sought them out closer to the edges of the kingdom, you would find them.”
