I don't know whether or not I've already said this, but I feel like we need some kind of reboot, honestly. Pick up more people, start anew, since we really aren't getting anywhere at the moment.

We'd also be able to edit the OP, which is nice.

You haven't, and I agree. This one is a freakin' mess.

Also maybe some planning ahead would be nice. There's a good system in how the Duel Tower works, but there's basically nothing at the moment which shows how we can use those. And I don't think Varionus ever told us how we were going to get speed spells for the turbo duels...

Not particularly.

At first, it was fine and dandy, but salvaging a bunch of missing information turned out to be much more time consuming than I thought. Not to mention, I'm not as up-with-it on the Yugioh knowledge, either. It's just been feeling more and more like a job and I haven't been having any fun with figuring all of this out. I ended up taking a few days on a break, then a few more, then a few more, and then everyone was posted for people to post, and I felt really guilty so I didn't post; it was just a vicious cycle. Not to mention that it was way too "I'll think of it when we get there" instead of having an overarching plot. Don't make that mistake that I did.

I would recommend in rebooting this RP if you guys still want to write on it. I won't GM and I might not even rejoin.

Don't feel bad about it. It's Varionus' fault for not thinking ahead, abandoning his own RP and just kinda shoving you into the GM role.

Ye did good for what it's worth, man.

On that note, who'd be up for a reboot? Since I'd probably do and host it, but I'd need some help in future planning.

This RP was also set in a desert in the middle of nowhere and it ended up being about a group of kids running from a cult. It was so succesful it got it's own page.

Edit: But yeah, I'd totally be down if you'd be willing to help out. And the opening post would definitely be welcome.

I don't know if all four of you are still interested in this, but if you are, tell me what you think of something I'm on the fence about adding.

What I'm thinking of adding, is being able to specialize in a certain summoning and dueling course. What I mean by that, is that students will be able to choose before or after their placement duels a certain dueling direction they want to go in. For example, someone who took xyz Summoning and Action dueling. Everyone would be in general educated on these things, but those who didn't specialize in xyz only get taught basic combos and how to summon them for example. Those who specialize get more advanced combos, what type of cards they'd be looking for, what decks can make what and so forth. Those who didn't specialize in Action Dueling only get taught on the less dangerous fields and basic instructions on how to use Action cards, while those who specialize would be allowed to play on more dangerous fields, shown when to take an action card, how you can use the field to your advantage and so on. And if there's an exhibition duel, they only take students that specialized in that dueling course.

The dueling courses would be standard, Action and Turbo.

The summoning courses would be Pendulum, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro and Xyz. Edit: Whoops, forgot to type Standard here. That too.

Seems alright. The only thing I would bring up is that there are decks that don't use the extra or ritual summon so you would be excluding those. In addition it seems like there wouldn't be a lot of room for trick decks like burn, reverse burn, exodia draw, etc.

I'm generally leavingout the Burn and Exodia decks out of the RP, Exodia because it's plot and Burn because it's Anti-fun for everyone. Also, they're first years, which means those courses are only open to the second year students. And ritual can be used in every decks, just some better than others. Just as there are generic pends, xyz, Fusions and Syncrhos there are generic rituals as well.

I'd say the course that excludes the most is actually fusion. The generic fusion cards aren't really that generic, as you need specific types of cards for them. Ex.: First of dragons needs normal monsters.

I could add room for trick decks, but I generally consider them anti-fun. If there's a demand I'll allow it, though you'd still need to build the deck in-RP.

Well, you kinda have to choose that yourself. You go to a school to study something, and the school doesn't decide that for you usually. Your PARENTS could, but that's a different story.
