• Appearance: Totally did not rip the entire character off, nope.
• Personality: Ethel is very soft-spoken and quite deadpan at that, she shows emotion through only very minor changes in her behaviour. The girl doesn't seem to know a whole lot about communicating with people and can get misunderstood quite easily. In a duel she can lose her temper very quickly and go off the hook, becoming more ruthless the angrier she is to the point where if it's someone she hates she could just outright scream for them to get killed.
• History: Ethel's led a sheltered life with a rich family, never really going out in the open much. Not at all, really. Her pale skin is because of her staying inside so much, which causes her stamina to also be much lower than a normal person's. She recieved minor dueling education a little while back, enough to learn her the basics of how to play, but before that she was always occupied in other lessons such as different languages or different musical instruments. She is able to do a whole lot as long as it doesn't require too much physical exercise but at the same time hasn't had the chance to talk to a whole lot of people. Her parents sent her out to the duel tower to give a better education on duel monsters.

Personality: Haas is a rather...interesting person. He's prone to highly energetic bursts of activity in rather sporadic periods, optimistic and cheerful and generally a really peppy guy. That changes after an hour or so, and he becomes somewhat grumpy, tired, sluggish, and overall a bit of an ass to deal with. He's never excessively tired however, as long as he takes one of his legendary fifteen minute power naps, after which he looks like he just got a full night's sleep and goes right back to being happy.

History: Born the oldest of four children to a German toy-maker, a modest living was all that Haas' father could afford for his family, and barely even at that. Despite the financial troubles they went through, his father always maintained an air of exuberant optimism, that was almost infectious.

Wanting to be like his father, Haas worked hard to always have a smile on his face. Balancing the work at the store along with his education, Haas' friends eventually got him into Duel Monsters, and the toymaker's son was surprisingly decent at it. Well, he at least knew which way a chain went. Ironically, Haas took the entrance exam for the Duel Tower Academy entirely by accident, having one of his "tired" episodes wound up getting him to sign up for some sorta desert dueling school. He passed the exams no problem and lo and behold, he was off. His father, rather than being worried about the store with one less set of hands was supportive, willing to believe that his son could make his (apparent) dreams of becoming a professional Duelist come true. However that worked.

Personality: Vincent's personality is can be described as crowd shy, and he has sometimes made blunders causing him to lose, due to his fear of being judged, without the crowd though, he is a cheerful person. who enjoys experiencing all of life, especially when it comes to dueling. (if only their wasn't people watching all the time)

History: The road to a duelist academy is usually a one of ambition, and Vincent is no different in the ambition to become a world class pro duelist, so when it came time to enroll in a dueling academy, Vincent choose the one that looked like it could offer the most to him for the future, even though it would be a sweltering hot desert. he would try and become the best he can be, mainly conquering his fear of crowd's.

Personality: Clementine is (oddly enough) not competitive at all. If she wins, she wins. If she loses, she loses. She does, however, have a penchant for only wanting to make her opponent be unable to use any sort of magic/trap card. She also makes a lot of wisecrack at other people's characters, and their moves.
History: Clementine was born to a middle class family. Her life was pretty much a graham cracker. Bland, boring, and slightly salty. All she really did while she grew up was play Dueling Monsters and watch bad fantasy movies. She played Dueling Monsters for 10 years of her life and somehow got decent at it. Through a rather odd hot-streak and a bunch of tournaments, she managed to get the chance to go to duel academy.

Personality: Hayato is a young man who doesn't mind losing and enjoys a good duel as long as he can have fun with his opponent, she likes to eat his sweets along with talking to girls about things he usually wouldn't talk about if his parents were around, she is always easily surprised by the smallest things when he is dueling like a card that looks cute or a card that's scary
History: Hayato was born in a family of professional duelists always aiming to be the best quickly after his third birthday he was already being forced to learn how to duel with the best decks, while he did enjoy dueling by itself he wasn't having fun being given decks build by his parents, but he secretly wanted to play with more fun and interesting decks and wanted to start over, when he hit the age of 15 his parents send him to a duel academy to learn how to be a better duelist on his own. despite duelling being a activity for both males and females Hayato was forced to use a voice changer and had to act like a male. Hayato never asked for this and would cherish every moment she had to not be like a guy

Personality: Steven tends to be calm and collected. People tend to call him a cynical asshole, though he just says he's being a realist. Honestly, he's a good guy, but the good bits of him tend to be clouded by the cold, calculated and boring-sounding bits of his personality. He resents his parents for leaving him alone most of the time. He is quite the fan of efficiency and control.

History : Steven was born into a rather rich family, as his parents practically had a monopoly on duel-gear. Their company produced everything from duel arenas to card sleeves. His parents tended to be out working most of the time, so he usually spent his time alone, building decks, and dueling the staff of the family mansion. Steven is kind of sick of seeing the company's slogan, "Make the Ryte choice" on billboards, merchandise, packaging, and literally everything else the company can get it on.

It was no suprise that Steven would get into the duel academy, given that he knew the ins and outs of the academy's entrance exams, and that almost everything the academy used was made by Ryte Industries. Steven wants to succeed in this school without help from his parents, and prove to them that he can succeed on his own.

History: Megan was born a single child without a need that wasn't meet in the world. As a result of her parents getting her anything she wanted she quickly became a rather popular gal, that and her vibrant personality. Personality: Open, talkative, smart, but definitely not modest. Yin is definitely smarter than the average person, and most definitely doesn't hide it in duels. However in her social life she does act more normal when with her friends. It's just when competing she desires to win and enjoys outsmarting her opponents often outwitting them more than purely dominating them. One might call her a bit smug to say the least.

History: Born to a noble Chinese family, Yin was able to travel and see a lot as a child and basically got to do whatever she wanted as long as it didn't shame her family name. Not wanting to follow her parents into politics finding it a waste of her mind Yin turned to Duel Monsters as a way to express herself, and to exercise her mind. To get away from home to follow her dream Yin talked her parents into letting her go the Duel Tower, convincing them that dueling wasn't a waste of her time, or theirs. As far as her parents know Yin is doing this as her way to spread the family influence in another area. As for the fact that she's actually important, Yin hides this by letting people think the way she acts is because she's smarter than them, which quite possibly could be true as well. She just doesn't want people to cozy up to her because of her connections and wants to be treated like a regular girl.

For the most part, Venwyn will uphold a personality befitting a ninja like himself, being both quiet and serious. One worded answers and short sentences compose his speech, and he seemingly prefers to play the role of "observer". However, Venwyn is far from unsocial, rather, the quiet demeanour which he upholds is simply his default personality versus people that he does not know well. It's an outer shell of sorts. However, one can quite easily get past Venwyn's colder personality within around five minutes of making conversation (asking him about his origins is normally enough), where he becomes significantly more casual and talkative around said person or people. While he may remain quite loyal to the "shell breaker," most of his loyalty lies with the Ael Clan, since that's where he was raised.

Notably, Venwyn maintains his cold personality when duelling, it is seemingly impossible for him to become agitated or nervous. He is a believer of fate. Fated to lose, fated to win, fated to have your monster destroyed and the like. Venwyn has a high amount of faith in his archtype choice and duelling capabilities, in addition to becoming quite irritated when he loses, although his talks of fate prevent him from truly lashing out about it. Instead, he just disappears in a puff of smoke without congratulating or speaking to the winner. He may congratulate a friend, but is definitely one to hold grudges against anyone who isn't.

For some reason, he has the tendency to add a "Ninja Arts" prefix to almost any action that he deems necessary, despite it being anything but. "Ninja Arts: Door Kick" being a somewhat recent example.

He notices that he's one of the "out of place" duellists at the Academy, although it doesn't appear to bother him much. Some people are interested in his actual ninja techniques, like disappearing. Although when people actually ask Venwyn to teach them some techniques, he rips them off with fake "ninja tools" which he sells at ridiculous prices; like a scroll-shaped Thermos, called a "Water Scroll."

Aside from that, Venwyn purposefully lacks presence; he has a tendency to enter and exit rooms without people actually noticing it, normally surprising or confusing people in the process.

History:
The Ael Clan are an ancient and secretive family of mystics, visionaries and (of all things) ninjas. The history of the Ael Clan spans backward to the times of ancient Egypt, where members of the Ael Clan were frequented the Shrine of Wedju, partaking in the original form of duelling through use of their Ba. The Ael Clan were gatherers of history, undertaking the task of learning and recording the methods behind the Egyptian form of duelling. The Ael Clan would proceed to thrive over the course of generations, while remaining secretive and generally unknown among the populace.

In the modern era, the Ael Clan have been faced with the new methods of duelling. Holding onto the old ways was important, but as was understanding the new ways. The clan made the decision to gather knowledge regarding Duel Monsters also, sending out several disciples in order to do so. Venwyn is an example of one of these disciples, sent to the Duel Academy with the job of recording cards to add to the archive, a job given to him due to his exceptional memory.

Appearance: Floyd is quite tall, being 6'1".
Personality: Whilst Floyd enjoys dueling, he isn't too bothered by the though of losing and as such adapts his play-style to be whimsical and away from the ordinary, as he is loath to be predictable. The youth has a generally laid back attitude, preferring to watch life go by without a care in the world, although some matters can aggravate him.
History: Floyd wasn't too fortunate in being able to choose his life; whilst not being entirely poor, his family's financial difficulties meant that he gained his deck after his sister got her own paying job and rebuilt her own, leaving him to have a hand-me-down. He loved dueling others in the school yard so much that he decided to participate in Card Shop games, eventually leading to his addiction with tournaments as he loves the free cards he gets for participation, some of which he donates to younger kids.
Favorites: Floyd absolutely loves Power Tool Dragon; as much as he would like to have a deck with it in, he can never seem to find it.
