Power: Jack has the ability to control fire and... a bit more. He can't die, but that will be explained more in the bio.

Coates or Townie: He previously established with Coates.

Personality: Jack was a charmer. He had a silky voice and aura about him that drew people to stop and hear what he had to say. His ego was big enough to own a moon. He was confident and persuasive enough to make a man in a wheelchair think he could fly. Jack had no trouble with the ladies as he was always a very good looking man, at least he thought so. Despite being raised in a very privileged family Jack was not one to be easily pushed around. He had a deep anger that liked to rear it's ugly head at the slightest provocation. It wasn't uncommon for him to get into fights. Although he didn't win every time it soon became known that he had a reputation for never giving up. Whatever it took, Jack would have the last swing.

Brief History:
Jack had a nice old fashioned life. He grew up with his two parents and his younger sister, Elizabeth. His parents were classy people, and they raised him to be the same. Ever since he could remember he would wear a suit and tie. As he grew older, he adapted his look to a new hat. He loved that hat. It was a damn good hat. Anyway he grew learning to speak like an adult, to hold himself with pride, to never let others tell him what to do.

One day, only a few days after Jack had turned seventeen their house caught on fire. No one was ever quite sure what had happened to start the fire, maybe faulty circuits. Every made it out safe, except Jack. Jack was stuck inside the raging fire, it burned him alive and his screams could be heard echoing throughout the entire town. It wasn't long before the cries for help were cut off and the house collapsed around the young boy. When it was safe to search through the carnage all that remained of Jack were his bones. His bones and his hat.

Jack was buried in the town cemetery, His bones laid in a coffin next to his favorite hat. The coffin was buried eight feet deep in the ground, a marker above the grave read, "Here lies a son, taken too soon. Jack Ashbourne 10/31/1940-11/17/1957." His family, grieving over the lost member of the family left the town soon after.

And then Jack woke up...

Personality:He is friendly and a great conversationalist if you can get through his shell of shyness and general lack of enthusiasm towards strangers. He is very honest, loyal and reliable. He will get angry if he feels betrayed, but it would take alot to push him over the edge into doing something reckless. He also tends to be curious about things he doesn't know, or does not understand, in such situations he becomes a detective and likes to solve the case himself.
Brief History:Kent lived in a small town on the north side across the old rail road tracks. His home was a trailer, or a single floored house. The place was small, but he didn't mind. He starting hanging out with a couple kids in his class, living on the same block after they invited him over after school. It was cool to have friends that helped him out and he helped in return. They did everything together from going to the local swamp to catch frogs, to playing in an 'abandoned house' and afterwards wishing they had never touched the place.

His parents, didn't really care what he was doing as long as he was back before dark. They were always there for him if he ever needed to ask them for help. The reason being that his mother was disabled from a disease that could not be cured, and his father helped his mother around the house, thanks to the government paying the money for the family to live jobless.

Anyways back to Kent directly, he entered highschool and thats where things got rough for him, he didn't have the designer outfits that alot of the other teens were sporting around, he also wasn't as popular compared to alot of the jocks, and brainiacs, but he still had his two friends to depend on. Well he had his two friends to depend on for a couple of weeks until one day, he walked over to ask the two-who happened to be talking to one of the very 'cool kids'-if they wanted to hang out at a local pizzeria, the both of his 'friends' bluntly told him to buzz off as he was pestering them and told him he didn't belong. Dejected and feeling betrayed he went home. Didn't tell his parents a thing as he stormed into the basement and started throwing out punches into the empty air, pretending it was his fake friends...

He avoided the other students at the school, because he did not want to be betrayed again.

Eventually his parents found out what happened at school and in short order moved to the town of San Perdido. It was their idea to give Kent a fresh start at a new school with different and hopefully better people.

A few weeks after that he woke up in his room and found the house too quiet, and searched everywhere only to discover his parents were gone... Their shoes were in the porch, their jackets on the coat rack, and yet they were nowhere to be found. He headed out the door, to get answers for what happened to them, and to undo whatever did happen.

"There's no way I've lost MY PARENTS! To hell with that!"

Accepted, though I have to say something that I think everyone should take note of. Powers manifesting before the disappearance of adults and the energy sphere around the town begins is okay, but not too long before. Like 6 months max.

Yeah his shadow is still there, or in other words the man is the shadow, but if he loses the shadow, like say in a dark room, he reappears.

(Ok, I'm sorry I didn't mean to take anyone's name and in case anyone missed the post, I had a little ways up, I am going to name my character Kent, and hope for no problems.)

@Gareth the reason kids started manifesting powers is because they were in San Perdido. Nuclear reactor meltdowns caused from a meteor hitting the power plant caused these changes in the kids, so having yous obtain powers before he moves there is highly unlikely.
