We're playing as the brotherhood of assassins that came after the "diminishing" of the Order, and we're doing it from the start of their brotherhood and advancing it onwards as they become seasoned assassins. We are also allowed to play as templars, yeah, but I'd prefer if people would focus on the assassins first. You're allowed another character if you want to play as both a templar and an assassin.
