Theodora heard a blast come from the alley as she walked away. She whipped around only to find a hunter chasing after a witch or wizard she couldn't see. Theodora, as she was turning back around she saw a a male figure walk out of the alley way, but he didn't seem hurt. Nooooo... I can't get caught!! Theodora ducked into an underground sub way, only to walk into the middle of what looked like a Wizard and two hunters fighting. Jesus!! They are all over the place!! The girl picked up her cat and stood in the entrance way of the subway, hoping to stay out of sight until the fight ended.
She watched as the fire wizard attacked hunter, seemingly without reason. After awhile, the second hunter disappeared and the larger hunter and the fire wizard continued to fight it out. Theodora watched with horror as the fire wizard attacked ruthlessly, singing the hunter's flesh, creating some harsh burns on the wizards arm. When the fight finally seemed to come to a halt, Theodora rushed out into the subway. "Stop!!" She waved her arm lifting the stray grains of dirt off of the ground. She created a barrier around herself so she could walk through the fire without burning herself. She crossed to the hunter and knelt down beside him.
"Please, let me heal your arm. It will get infected if you don't take care of it properly. A magical wound can more difficult to heal..." She didn't look the hunter in the eye, she only looked at the burn. She reached for the hunter's arm, glancing every now and then at the other hunter, hoping he wouldn't attack her.

Maxi was walking with the little ice witch when he told her that he would take her in for the night. First thing's first, Maxi needed to make it home so they could have a faster ride. "hey...we will be taking the subway home ok? it's faster than just walking back." the little ice witch nodded as they went down a couple blocks until reaching the entrance towards the station and made their way down.

Something seemed strange when Maxi could smell something burning and kept the girl behind him to check what was going on only to find a fight between two hunters and a wizard....and he caught the sight of another young woman there as well looking to tend to one of the people there. Maxi stared at them, getting the drift and had the notion to want to leave and just walk home instead of finding trouble again. "Look...um...let's just turn and leave ok?" Maxi said to the little ice witch as she nodded as well. Both started to back away.

Bastian just came back from bringing in another wizard who was hiding in a church and decided that it would be time to retire for the day after an intense investigation that lasted 20 hours involving the last wizard. Strapping his special crossbow, Bastian walked down the sidewalk as people who recognized what he was, gave his either a dirty look or a smile seeing that the profession he's under were mixed in view at best. Bastian didn't care though because his very purpose were to stop any and all potential threats that wizards and witches bring. Bastian thought about his ultimate goal of capturing Cain, the crime lord who burned his house down, killing his wife and unborn child. That was the very reason he joined in the first place because he had more freedom as a hunter than he did as a police officer worrying about jurisdictions and what laws he could not bend. hunting a wizard allowed him to do whatever the fuck he wanted no matter how cruel and no matter how unreasonable.

Continuing his stroll, Bastian looked out the corner of his eyes to witness some guy jumping out the window and creating a pillar under him. At first, Bastian though that from the long hours of working, he was just seeing things but he gave a double take and realized that the pillar the individual used, disappeared. This gave a confirmation that this is another wizard and should not pass up the opportunity to capture him. It's the organization's motto to attack these magical freaks on sight so...with that. Bastian stopped to observe this man to see what he was going to do but Bastian blended in with the pedestrians so to not alarm the guy and slowly started to draw out his crossbow.

Logan watched as the man pulled back his crossbow ever so carefully and he let out a brusque breath, Again? I thought I had dealt with these jerks. He threw up a carbon wall before he could shoot, and he ran behind him, quickly jumping a fence that was in the alleyway and briskly dodging all of the garbage thrown on the ground by bums. He pulled out the prototype "fire extinguisher" and thought about using it. Too overkill. Logan had decided and threw it backward, hoping that the hunter chasing him would trip over it. After doing so he continued sprinting, but hoped it exploded a tiny bit. The destruction would be glorious, you could almost see the fire burning in his eyes. Logan jumped into the air and made a carbon pillar shoot from the ground under him, extending his jump height tremendously. He landed on a rooftop of an apartment and let out a breath. I don't want to deal with this right now. I have to try and fit in, not get noticed like that...

Pain subsiding, Trick stood up as a small girl came over, she was a witch as evident by the magic she used. He glared as she went over to help the hunter. "Stop helping him you whore." Trick roared at he girl, venom dripping from his gaze. The flames on his body changing to a deep, bright red. The heat increasing, "You have made a mistake here young witch, remember this." The fire brightened to a golden bloom, blinding those around. Trick's body crumbled to ash, carried away in the wind; leaving only his mask, half melted on the ground.

Aidon rushed to the hunter and witches side. Still catching his breath from the smoke that was still in the air. "I've never seen anything like him" he said directed toward Dimitri. He looked at the girl and held the hilt of his scythe. "W..why do you chose to help?" He looked at her, studying her for an answer. "Why do you not fear us?" He watched closely then looked over to the pile of ash in where the fire wizard had disappeared. An unsettling feeling came over his body. This young girl was strang indeed.

Dimitri huffed and wheezed in pain as the fire wizard disappeared in an admittedly impressive theatrical manner. The threat of the wizard having gone, Dimitri stayed rooted on the ground and tried to catch his breath as best he could through the smoke. It took the hunter a few seconds - the kick to the groin had winded him a lot more than he showed- but Dimitri found the strength and presence of mind to avoid blacking out or vomiting, as well as to wave his burn free hand up and down slowly to wordlessly tell Aidon to stand down.

Dimitri coughed and turned his head slightly over his shoulder to spit out a glob of saliva that was streaked with soot, a foul premonition to the ungodly amount of soot he'd be hacking up or sneezing out in the week to come. "Well that sucked ass." Dimitri croaked to Aidon through an exhausted smile as he tried to act as if everything was fine. Dimitri spat once more before he turned his attention to the witch. Dimitri stared at the young woman in puzzled silence, almost as though looking for the answer to a difficult question before he rose his weapon overhead almost as if to bring it down on her. The weapon crackled menacingly for a few moments before going completely silent as Dimitri deactivated it and collapsed it into it's concealed state and brought it to the clip on his belt. Dimitri could practically feel his ancestors rolling in their collective graves as he extended his arm to the witch for a better look, "Your help would be much appreciated. But my friend does have a point; Why would you help me? You know what I am, don't you?".

Cinders lay among brittle sticks and dry leaves, slowly the gave way under the heat and caught flame. Flaring up more than they had reason to, smoke curling up licking the tops of great pine trees. From the flame stepped Trick, fire no longer surrounding him. He looked around, trees as far as his eye could see. Tall green towers many feet above him, a once beautiful grove now set aflame. Ashes all that was left of the beautiful multi-colored flowers, the grass no longer lush and green instead it became crisp and black. The fire slowly settled until it was reduced to no more than a smoldering pile of dirt. Trick leaned up against a nearby tree, examining his wounds. His arm cut from wrist up to his shoulder, he conjured a hot focused beam of fire; melting the skin together. With the wound cauterized he had more pressing matters to look towards. Firstly how to get out of this forest, he knew he was close to his camp site but without the moon it was difficult to find his way.

Trick wandered and eventually found his make-shift camp, a clearing containing a red leather tent set beneath a black tarp. The remains of a camp fire now long extinguished sat forlorn in the center of the area. His supplies strewn about the campsite, another mask propped against the tent. Trick felt tired after wandering the woods for so long, and decided it was time to rest. He crawled inside his tent, only a sleeping roll inside. He fell down on top if it not bothering to cover himself, thinking happy thoughts of burning the two hunters and their whore to cinders; he closed his eyes and waited for sleep to claim him.

Theodora ignored ignored the fire wizard's threat and continued to examine the arm of the hunter. It looked like a third degree burn, easy enough to heal with her magic. The problem would be trying to siphon the residual magic the wizard had left behind in the wound. That would be the most painful part. Just as she was about to reach into a pouch she wore around her neck, she noticed the weapon rise above the hunter's head. The girl stiffened, ready for a fight. But as soon as the weapon was lowered, she relaxed and poured a loose mud onto her hands. She smeared the mud on the burn and muttered, "This might sting". Theodora closed her eyes, bent close to the hunter's arm and whispered some words. The mud instantly conformed to the shape of the arm. "That has to sit for a minute. This is a special mud that I made myself. It heals as well as draws out harmful magic. The fire man left a lot in your body. If you had just gone to a normal hospital, you would have died a week later."
She was silent for a minute. In her silence, she heard someone else in the entrance of the subway. She glanced over her shoulder and saw a man about her own age and a little girl. In order to distract the hunter's she decided to answer their questions. "Yes I know what you are, no I do not fear you. I am on neither side, I am on the side of life. No one should die for their beliefs." As she answered she watched the mud on the hunter's arm, making sure it didn't crack. "No one should die from a random, non-provoked attack either."

Bastian was not even given a chance to start his assault as the young man created the carbon wall and started running. Bastian rolled his eye "Well damn, just make this shit difficult for me why don't ya...." He thought, starting the pursuit by switching the darts of his crossbow and shot the first which was a grappling hook he used to get over the carbon wall, to catch the guy jumping over the fence. Using that height he was at, he swung himself over the fence to continue on foot while chasing the wizard as he threw something behind him while dodging the trash. Bastian made sure to dodge what it was the guy through but at the same time, Bastian realized that the cartridge that held his darts were empty since most of the darts were used up chasing down the last wizard he caught. Taking it off the crossbow, he tossed it behind him, recklessly not paying attention as the fire extinguisher exploded behind him, causing him to stumble and fall forward and sort of covering his head to protect himself just a little while with blurry eyes, watched as the man enhance his jump and make it to the top of a roof and continue to escape. Bastian stood up and looked behind him at the damage caused "SHIT!!!" he shouted in frustration. He called in to dispatch to see if there were any records of wizard he was chasing and gave them information of what he looked like and the abilities he used. He placed his tracking shades on to try and follow his movements but by that time, the boy would be out of sigh. With fatigue, Bastian was going to call it a day and try again later but first he was going to attempt a sweep through to make sure he was not around and called for others to be sent to where he is to scout out the area.

Maxi stared on and for a moment, was ready to leave but from what this young woman said about what side she was on, Maxi stayed in place. He watched as this girl was working on the hunter, which in his opinion was a stupid idea knowing they would not do the same for her. He decided that he was going to wait until she was free to speak to her so to not interrupt this already existing interaction. Maxi motioned for the little girl he was with to sit on the steps and wait.

Aidon collapsed his scythe and put it under his cloak. He leaned back against the wall and slowly sat. "Your name?" Aidon said in a soft kind voice, trusting this Witch. Aidons mind wondered on questions to ask the Witch, what group she lay part of, why she did not chose a side, why she seemed so kind to men who have killed many like her, approaching without fear. Aidon studied her "Did you know that..wizard." Aidon heard the rustling of footsteps at the opening of the passage, he sat up quickly and grabbed the hilt of his Scythe. He didn't see anything so he relaxed, moving his focus back to the Witch who was healing his friend. Aidon quoted her questioning her logic "You fight for life? What does that even mean? The only thing that people like us.." He paused "..and people like you know is death" His mind wondered back to the document he threw away. He sighed "Thank you.. for jumping in" He directed toward the witch and looked at Dimitri, "I'm not one to talk low of myself or our organization, but that demented flaming asshole gave us a run for our money" He softly punched Dimitri's arm. Aidon clenched his jaw and looked down.

Dimitri winced in pain as the mud went to work healing his wound, however given everything else he'd dealt with tonight, it was far from the worse thing he'd experienced. The hunter mulled over what Theodora had said about owing allegiance to neither side of the war. Even though the whole situation wasn't quite as simple as picking or not picking a side he respected that the witch still tried to avoid letting herself fall prey to the us vs them mentality that ran rampant these days. Dimitri would even go so far as to say that he was envious of it considering that he never had the option of not getting involved in the mounting war that was humanity versus the magus. Dimitri found himself being pulled from his thoughts by Aidon's voice just before receiving a light punch,We weren't ready for an attack. I mean, how could we be? There are only a handful of documented cases where a Magus has followed and attacked a hunter out of the blue.". Rather than dwell on the subject further, Dimitri examined the mud encasing his arm and cocked his head to the side, "So by any chance will this leave any scarring?" .

Theodora shrugged off the second hunter's first question. "You can just call me Healer. As for your second question, I hate death, I hate the idea of people dying. So, I do what I can in this fucked up world to save those that I can. Maybe all you know is death, but the only thing I know is life." With that, she waved her hand over a spot where the cement had melted during the fight and a tiny bud popped out of the ground. The bud grew into a fully bloomed flower in less than thirty seconds. She picked the flower, peeled the petals off of the steam and placed them in her mouth. As she chewed on the petals, she touched the mud on the man's arm and it quickly returned to its liquid form, which she caught in her hand and slid back into the pouch around her neck. She spit the chewed up petals into her hand and pat the salve gently onto was remained of the burn. "Once you no longer feel a cooling sensation emitting from the salve, remove it. It means my magic has done it's job. To answer your question, you will have a tiny scar, as with any magically inflicted wounds."
Theodora stood up, picked up her black cat that he been waiting about a foot away, and headed for the entrance of the sub way. There she found the man and the little girl waiting. "What are you doing here? I distracted them so you could leave! Just because they did no attack me did not mean they will not try to attack you." A slight fire burned in the girl's green eyes, but her voice remained calm.

After watching the girl do her magic on the hunter, Maxi quietly watched with the little girl he was with until she was over. When asking him what they were doing there and that she was trying to give him a chance to leave before he get's attacked, Maxi gave a grin "Hm? I'm not afraid of a fight. I fight hunters all the time to save little ones and others like us from being captured. If I'm attacked, I'll get us out of here but....to answer your question, Originally....I was going to take the subway home but found you guys here. And...those guys you were with looks like they had enough excitement for one day. This little girl here, I just saved her and was taking her back to my place to keep her safe for the night buuuut....since I caught sight of you....you had me curious." he explained to her

Trick sat up abruptly, the taste of failure still ripe in his mouth. He wanted so desperately to hear them scream, to listen to their final laments of pain as they crumple to the ground being reduced to no more than ashes. Anger boiled deep within him and flames curled out from his finger tips, caressing the inside of the tent. Slowly the tent caught fire and fell down around him. Trick stood up with only one goal in mind, kill that piece of shit hunter. He grabbed his mask and put it on, a devilish smile reaching from ear to ear. The first step in ending this gnat's life would be to find him, and those he loves. And burn them.

Logan chuckled on the rooftop, he had genuinely felt that rush. It'd been a while since he had, due to the nature of his situation, hiding inside an abandoned apartment building. I shouldn't go back there, he'll be searching that building for me or where I could be going. Where am I going? He longed for more of this "rush" but decided to hold it back before he could take over this town, and then move on. He had wondered if there were any more witches or wizards, he hadn't seen any up until then. He had heard some strange noises from the apartment complex, but didn't think much of them at the time. Maybe...

Dimitri made no attempt to stop Theodora from leaving after her assistance despite Aidon being behind him. He did not want to besmirch the family name, true, but he also wasn't the sort of person who went attacking someone whom had just risked their ass to save his. Dimitri stood -being careful to avoid cracking the mud caked on his arm- and gave himself a once over. His pants had a few holes singed into them, his favorite shirt torn and burned to shreds, his scarf was absolutely covered in soot, the pain in his nether regions told him that he'd be walking funny for the rest of the night, and likely part of tomorrow, his throat was burning from inhaling smoke, and he smelled like he'd just spent all night rolling in a fire pit. All in all, now seemed like a pretty good time to go home, change the battery in his weapon, take a hot shower, and drink a cold bottle of cider or two before taking a well deserved rest.

"Well it's been fun Aidon but I think i'm gonna call it a night. You be careful out here man." He grunted before shuffling towards a set of stairs leading deeper into the subway where the actual waiting stations for the trains resided. About halfway down Dimitri turned and cupped his hands over his mouth, "THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP MISS. I OWE YOU ONE!" He hollered out loudly. Dimitri wasn't exactly sure if Theodora would actually take him up on that, or even if she was still around for that matter, but he figured it was only proper to give thanks before he disappeared down the stairs.

Aidon watched the girl leave, he hesitated, wanting her to stay, he had so many questions. He just let her go. Dimitri stood up in pain and yelled off to the girl as he walked away. In hope we meet again.. He thought to himself watching the girl leave.
Aidon returned home dropped his weapons and cloak on the chair and sat at his desk. His sat resting his chin in his fingers softly rubbing the stubble on his face and going over records of past Wizards being spotted. He couldnt find much of anything from the Fire Wizard, nothing at all actually, its as if he just appeared to attack them. Aidon sat in wonder for a good two hours, reading documentation and taking notes. As his clock rang for two in the morning he placed his pen down and sat back in his chair. He looked over at some old dusty boxes that were stored in his closet. They were in plain sight so he pulled them down and opened them up. They had some of his mothers old things, such as a book she would read him before bed and a rosary that she gave to him at a young age. Under it all was old books, his fathers books. Books of dark magic and Shadow magic. He stared at them for a good long while and slowly closed the box, packing it away out of sight. As he was putting the box up a not slipped out from the bottom that fell out of one of the books, it was in his fathers hand writing, he wondered how he had never seen it, although it was in his more advanced shadow witchcraft books that Aidon never dared read. The note said "The darkest things are in the brightest souls of people you hold dearest"

Theodora glanced at the little girl then back at the man standing in front of her. "I see. Well, you should-" She stopped short as she herd the hunter yell his thanks to her. She didn't respond and waited for a minute or two before finally continuing her conversation with the man in a hushed voice. "You need to leave. There could be other hunters around and I'm sure they won't think twice about attacking two witches and a wizard. It's their job. Ours is to stay out of sight. Get home and stay there. You shouldn't be curious about me. I only did what I know how to do, and that is save a life." She pushed past the man and the little witch and exited the subway, hoping they wouldn't follow.

Dimitri fought off the feeling of exhaustion as the train car rumbled silently along the tracks. He paid little heed to the people that rode alongside him as they casted wayward glances at him, he especially went out of his way to disregard the middle-aged woman who started to complain when he chipped the mud on his arm onto the train car's floor after it had stopped cooling. The ride was uneventful, and after the third stop Dimitri slowly got up and hobbled out of the train alongside several others. No sooner than after Dimitri stepped out of the train did his phone begin to buzz in his pocket. Dimitri pulled the device out, smiling softly at the sound of Oskar Schuster's Fjalæger informing him of his father's desire to speak with him before he swiped his thumb across the screen.
"Evening father, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Dimitri began with a formal tone that he reserved for those that he believed to be of higher status than himself. There was a grunt on the other end before a deep and somewhat posh tone responded "Spare me your greetings. I caught word from the agency that you failed to acquire information from the magus you caught tonight.", "I see. Word certainly does travel fast among the higher ups, doesn't it?" "Do not change the subject.". Dimitri grimaced slightly and stopped a few feet away from the stairs that would take him back onto the streets, "No. I was unfortunately unable to acquire the information. The magus proved to be extremely resilient to interrogation attempts, even with several dozen milliamperes coursing through his flesh." "Unfortunate. I trust that you were at least able to dispatch with the magus efficiently?". Dimitri shifted uncomfortably, but he didn't make his father wait long for an answer, "Yes sir. I filled his flesh with one hundred milliamperes. The magus died of heart failure in three minutes, after which I removed his head to prevent any sort of resuscitation." "You could have killed that magus in less time., "I did not want to leave any more mess for the agency's clean up crew to deal with than necessary." "Very well. I plan to make a visit to your hunting grounds sometime within the next month. I trust that you can avoid muddling the Cromwell name in the meantime, yes?" "Yes sir.".

Dimitri let out a sigh as his father hung up on him. This was how just about every conversation went between the two of them. For a moment Dimitri had considered asking how his mother was doing, however he knew that his only response from his father would have been how he was wasting his time with unimportant details. Dimitri also wondered whether or not he should have told his father about the fire magus he'd fought not too long ago, however he held his tongue for fear of his father deciding to visit earlier rather than later. The hunter shuddered at the thought of the bloodbath that would have ensued were his father to arrive with knowledge that he'd allowed a magus to both seriously injure a Cromwell and escape with his life after doing so. Dimitri knew all too well of what his father was capable of, and frankly, he would not wish that sort of wrath on anyone, even the wizard whom had tried to kill him. Sadly, Dimitri also knew that the wrath that his father would bring would only be due to the fact that the family name had been besmirched, not out of any sort of familial love. Dimitri shook his head and began to ascend the subway stairs, almost tasting the ale waiting for him in his fridge.

Trick had scoured every alley, every hidey hole, and every nook and cranny searching for any information on the two hunters he had met previously. All he had come up with was a name, the man with the lightning blade was Dimitri Cromwell, a very helpful drunk had told him this; but only after he had peeled back his nails and cut off a few toes. He found it strange why this man would go through so much trouble to hide a name, it hadn't been anything special. Trick found the nearest phone booth and searched through the book that presided there, "Dimitri Cromwell, Dimitri Cromwell, Dimitri Cromwell" he muttered as he peered through the pages. Unable to find anything he snapped the book shut, turned on his heel and left. It looks like I'm going to have to resort to more potent methods. he thought to himself. Trick stalked slowly through the night towards their meeting spot, once he reached it he blended into the dark and disappeared. Waiting.
