Colmaz wasn't very happy about the notion of murdering civilians. He shifted his hand into his potion bag slowly, trying not to draw attention. He thought of all of the possible outcomes, and was uneasy when he realized that most of them concluded in his death.

And follow they do, but orc follows last so that any of the bandits trying to attack them would be cut down by the orc. The female elf meanwhile laying a few healing spells on the orc and anyone from her group that might have been wounded.

Iosef turns towards Connor, but after listening to his proposal, runs on ahead. No way in hell did he want to manage an entire world.

And when he grabs the sword, a massive surge of power enters his body. Images as well begin to pop up in his head. Images of demonic creatures pouring out through a portal opened by Earthrent, though they quickly fade away.

In his hands, he had the power to rend the Earth, or make the light smite anyone in his path... the sword was finally in his hands.

Knight snarls as the arrows hit him. Then with a nod to the avian he unfurls from blocking and roars trying to attract Ana's attention. Figuring that if he breathed fire that would cause her to dodge and move away from the avian'a lines for attack.

And he does briefly catch her attention, however, thanks to that, she was now preparing another arrow to shoot right for him. Thankfully, the avian fires the three dark arrows. Two miss their mark, but the third lands right in her shoulder, cancelling her powers thanks to the conflicting energies in her body.

Maryvale cared not for the Lightspawn. Instead, she was going to do something most would consider completely idiotic. "Elve! Cast a dark immunity on our allies!" She orders, protecting him from the Lightspawn should it attempt to interfere, as well as Anna.

But the Lightspawn started to fade away as Anna was hit with a dark arrow, disrupting her summons and her attacks. What was worse, the arrow would temporarily cancel any light powers Anna had, leaving her easy prey for anyone nearby.

"Should I still cast the spell?" the High Elf asks. "Archangel Gabriel still might come to save her." he said preparing the darkness immunity spell.

Though he was Death's right hand, so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that he has been alive for that long." the Death Knight said. "Dwarf, my lord knows about you and your past, why do you desire these swords, since you already are a noble for the king and since clearly you see that these swords are a threat to mortal species."

Iosef wildly swings the blade above him, urging the ceiling to make way for him.

Knight nods to the avian, then folds up his wings causing him to start to plummet rapidly toward the ground. Once close enough, he snaps his wings out and lands fairly near Ana. Once landed he roars at Ana, tempted to breath fire on her. However, he does not.

The high elf casts the spell, however, before any of them could attack and/or shoot Anna, a light appears from the sky and a man with very large angelic wings appears. The man had golden hair and his eyes were literally light. His armor was pure and definitely holy. His sword on the other hand, was not only holy, but was now on fire.

"Misguided beings, this girl is under my protection, unless you wish to spend an eternity in Purgatory, I suggest you leave right now!" He urges the group.

And with only a swing, the entire upper half of the temple was blown away. Truly a very powerful sword. However, outside waiting him were not only about 100 wyvern knights, but also a small army's worth of paladins and Priests.

"Thank you for your duty to the Human Empire, we will be having the sword now..." The head Paladin said holding his hand out.

"Hey...could you do that portal thing again?"

Maryvale grins beneath her helmet. "Finally you show." Chuckles The Dark Knight as she levels her sword at her side, staring at the Angel with eyes unseen. "You kept me waiting, Angel. I was starting to think the retrieval of Anna wouldn't be much of a challenge."

Grabbing hold of her blade with both hands, she raises it above her head, an aura surrounding her much more powerful than any of her previous attacks. "Sending me to Purgatory wouldn't make me forget my faith in and for the Grand Marshal. Nothing save erasing my memory could ever relieve or replace that faith."

Suddenly, the energy surrounding her body began to flare up in an extremely violent fashion, and the faint, mad cackle of a sociopathic immoral being briefly resounded from Maryvale. "Like your faithfulness to God, I am faithful forever for the Grand Marshal! Unlike the now-dead hypocritical lie you believe in, I believe in a living man with the strength to save us all! For giving me family; for giving me purpose; for giving me life; I would do whatever it took to adhere to his wishes, as it's the least I can do!"

Blade pointed towards the soil beneath her, Blood stands like a powerful and wall, ready to come crashing down on her enemies. "So... are you ready to die, Angel?"

The stern look Gabriel had softened up and looked at Maryvale with pity:

"Then... this is the last thing you all want to hear." Gabriel says smiling. "Believe me or not, the Grand Marshal only thinks of you as his means to rise into power, as soon as you will bring him any of the universal weapons, he will toss you aside as fast as he took you in. That's the kind of man he is, he is a genius, but a evil one at that... so, knowing that, do you still wish to fight?"

"Just swing your sword at them so that you throw them into dissarray, I need a moment to make this portal." she said smiling, as if this was a daily thing for her.

Iosef grins and plunges Earthrent into the floor, before pulling it back up. Hopefully, the earth could be raised to about the Wyvern Knights' level, putting the Knights, Paladin, and mercs onto a level playing field.

That, and anyone planning on escaping would have to target one of the flying riders.

The conviction in her voice made it clear - she would be willing to even slaughter her allies in order to uphold her good standing with the Grand Marshal. She was guided purely by emotion - a beast that could not be controlled save for one. Unless extreme measures were taken, she likely wouldn't be changed.

Raising her blade higher, she prepares it finally for her attack - a strike at maximum capacity. "Now, fear the power of Dark Knight Maryvale Blood! Dark Nebula!"

The blade pierces the ground, and in a flash (or rather, the opposite) a massive amount of dark energy and magic was released in a highly concentrated area. It was definitely enough to kill any unprotected humanoid ally, however thankfully the Elve had cast the darkness immunity spell on everyone on their side. This was Maryvale's ultimate attack: a near-suicidal level of power released in a radius of one-hundred metres.

And that stopped the mercs from killing one another and focused at the army ahead of them. But the mad reaction didn't come from the bandits, it came from two of the beings there. The manticore, who almost instantly jumped on the head Paladin and the Jester, who with only a snap of his fingers made the hearts of the wyverns present there explode, killing them instantly.

The army, now with no morale, was less than eager to attack, especially since Iosef had Earthrent.

"Should I still make the portal?" she asks. "These guys are almost about to run."

Anna was lucky that Gabriel had sat in front of her, or she would've been blown away instantly by the massive release of energy. Even Gabriel winced in pain as the massive wave of energy hit him.

"Very well then... if you wish to get Anna, then you'll have to claw your way out of Purgatory first!" Gabriel shouted and sent a massive wave of holy energy towards the group. "And you had the potential of being this world's champions..."

"E-Elve! B-barrier!" She splitters out, coughing blood, briefly raising the visor on her helmet as blood splutters onto the floor. Reaching into her small bag, Maryvale sculls down one of her potions, effectively healing her near-dead body's state to peak condition.

(OOC: You can choose if she becomes poisoned or paralysed from the potion (or both/neither))

The high elf nods and casts a barrier on the group. Even so, the shields barely resist the massive amount of energy released from Gabriel's attack.

"My lady, our odds of winning are quite low!" the high elf warned, a look of geniune fear briefly appeared on the elf's face before turning back to a serious one.

The potion however, now had the effect of a poison as well, slowly killing her from the inside, though she would probably last the battle if it ended quick enough.

"Low, but not impossible. The Grand Marshal wouldn't buckle to the might of an angel, and neither will we! Black Bane!" She announces, imbuing her sword with dark magic and slashing through the air with it, sending a slash of dark magic at both Anna and Gabriel.

And Gabriel blocks the attack his sword, though again, he winced in pain as his skin made contact with the dark energy. Gabriel was now getting ready to send another wave of energy. However, if she looked around, she could see that the gnoll had managed to sneak away somehow, though if she looked behind Anna, she could see where he had vanished.

She just had to buy him a few more seconds so that he could take Anna hostage and maybe end this battle early.

Of course, this was pretty damaging on Maryvale's body and it wasn't as tough, however she hoped to have psyched Gabriel out by looking as though she were going to attempt another Dark Nebula.

These continuous attacks were pretty draining, though. But even so, the longer she could keep him distracted, the better. What's more is even if Gabriel found out by the time the Gnoll grabbed Anna, he would be stuck thanks to her continuous stream of dark magic.

"Everyone, see if you can keep him still!"

Of course, this was pretty damaging on Maryvale's body and it wasn't as tough, however she hoped to have psyched Gabriel out by looking as though she were going to attempt another Dark Nebula.

These continuous attacks were pretty draining, though. But even so, the longer she could keep him distracted, the better. What's more is even if Gabriel found out by the time the Gnoll grabbed Anna, he would be stuck thanks to her continuous stream of dark magic.

"Everyone, see if you can keep him still!"

And still they kept him, her strikes combined with everyone elses strikes kept Gabriel on the defensive until...

"Angel!" The gnoll shouted, and his sword, dipped in the liquid version of her magic, went right through Gabriel's chest. With that, Gabriel vanished, though he didn't die. He had managed to teleport back above before the sword truly killed him.

Anna, left with no protection at all, did what any defenseless young girl did in the face of danger... she started crying.

She was a flood of emotions. The sounds of anguish and fear were things Maryvale simply could not tolerate. It was driving her insane; if it weren't for the presence of her fellow members, she would be clutching her ears and screaming at the child to stop. However, instead, Maryvale merely rose to her feet, body shaking...

'S-stop... c-crying...!'

She was a flood of emotions. The sounds of anguish and fear were things Maryvale simply could not tolerate. It was driving her insane; if it weren't for the presence of her fellow members, she would be clutching her ears and screaming at the child to stop. However, instead, Maryvale merely rose to her feet, body shaking, and sprints towards Anna...

... Though she stops right in front of her. Or rather, stops so she was between Gabriel and the young girl. "Avian, Rookie, deal with the child! Get her away from Gabriel's cruel grasp!"

"Be quiet girl!" the gnoll shouted at her, and shook her, that, however, only made it worse and she started crying harder.

The young knight just sighed and approached Anna, handing her a handkerchief and smiling at her.

"It's ok." he said to her. "They aren't bad people, despite what they look like." he said and smiled at her. Anna was at first hesitant to accept the man's kindness, though she quickly clings on to his hand. At least she had stopped crying. Though she did whimper occasionally.
