Evie watched, at first still think that he was crazy while her curiosity was peaked, then, taking a closer look, she would officially start to wonder what on Earth he was doing. Bee eventually got his point across just as he turned the screen around to show her the battery percentage. She took a deep breath, leaning back in the chair, her arms now crossed. "Okay. Weird. Really, really weird. And coincidental."

She leaned forward her face serious, her eyes full of light curiosity. "This can't be happening, Bee. Last night I sat a bath towel on fire. I swear I'm not lying to you. Tell me we aren't going crazy together? That you at least believe me? If need be I'll light something on fire for you."

Bee snorted, thoroughly amused by her rather obvious commentary.

"Well, Evie, it's happening to both of us. We're developing something, and unless we're simultaneously going insane and not realizing it, I'm quite sure that something is happening. So no, I don't think we're going crazy. Just maybe physics. Or maybe it's quantum physics. According to physics, we shouldn't be able to do this. According to quantum physics, whatever the fuck is possible."

He slipped his phone back into his pocket (shit, now he didn't have any phone access >.>) and drummed his knuckles on the table, a little nervously. Trying to think of... something. He didn't know what he was trying to think of, but he needed to think of something.

"Perhaps we should head back to one our places? Somewhere private, where people might not be watching us? I-I mean, not to, uh, do stuff! But just to test these... powers that we have, now!"

His cheeks had colored at the sudden implication- head somewhere private, pretty girl? He, of course, ducked his head and looked away, taking a sip of his hot chocolate to try and hide his embarrassment.

Evie laughed. "No worries, Bee. I knew what you meant. No reason to be embarrassed." The truth was, Evangaline could feel the heat rising in her cheeks due to her embarrassment as well. Not that she really had anything to be embarrassed for, perhaps just because. "Okay, well, maybe just a little embarrassed." She thought for a second.

"I actually know of an empty lot literally right behind the building that my apartment's in. There's a lot of stuff back there." She shrugged her shoulders. "Just an idea."

Bernard tried to ignore the heat and the second meanings of some of his words, unused to it. He normally never really talked to people face-to-face- he had some friends, but he didn't see them much anymore. It was nice to have a new one, even just to share coffee/hot chocolate with.

But then again, she was cute... he pushed that thought out of his head. Superpowers are more important right now.

Getting up from his seat, he started getting everything packed up in to-go stuff. Everything wasn't much- he slipped his phone into his pocket, got a paper bag to slip his pastries into, and that was that.

So he jerked his head towards the door, telling Evie, "Well let's go, then. No time better than the present to get started."

And with that, he walked out the door, turning around to push the door open with his back, and waiting for Evie to come. What a gentleman, he was, holding doors for people.
