A matronly woman entered the gym and asked them to be seated. From her appearance and the immediate obedience of the other children, Brooke guessed that this was the Ms. Smith that she'd heard about. She quickly followed the others in sitting down on the bleachers, choosing one of the higher rows to compensate for her diminutive height. Then Brooke listened attentively to the story of the orphanage.

jack walked into the gym, he overheard the housekeepers story of why this place was built, he took a seat at the bottom of the bleachers, the thought of being around so many people worried him,maybe i should just leave before i kill someone

Thomas had heard Ms. Smith's short speech many times before. Every day there was a new arrival she explained it the same, but that did not make it any less true or important. The benefactor was something of a legend. Nobody really knew their name, who they were, or what their power was. If Ms. Smith knew, she wasn't telling. While they listened and waited, Thomas kept hold of Katherin's hand. It allowed him to focus on her to the near exclusion of the others, and avoid being overwhelmed.

Anya shuffled into the gym behind Ms.Smith. As she stopped at the door so did she. Calculating where to sit. The benefactors story was cool. But she wanted to be home. Or well in the packs territory. She decided that staying close to Ms.Smith would be best but sat on the floor. Unknowing what the benches were actually for.

Haven listened to the woman intently. But, like always, after only a minute, her attention began to waiver. Leon had asked her about being going as fast as he did. What does he mean by that? He must be playing around, she thought. Unless he wasn't...She tilted her head slightly, attempting to catch his eye. She whispered, "Pst, Leon? Leon?" She whispered a little louder, "Leon. Were you serious?" She hoped he heard her before she had to get louder.

Leon had shook Brooke's hand and was going to talk to her but the head lady Ms Smith had come in and everyone had taken seats, Leon chose a seat close to Leo and Haven, He listened to the story of the benefactor with a warm softness in his eyes, his life had been like that too...if he had been faster he would still have a family and that haunted Leon. He was a bit zoned but the moment he heard Haven's voice he perked up and turned to her with a smile and whispered, "Of course...If you're touching me and I wan't you to...you can move as fast as me...I have only ever used it to help other people...But...I wouldn't mind showing you..."

Young Sara had emerged from the changing room in full gymnasium regalia at roughly the same moment that Ms. Smith arrived. Having been laying on a couch during her psychiatric check-in, she wasn't enthused by the prospect of sitting down; restlessness filled her, as it always did first thing in the morning.

She remained standing as the matron of the Orphanage spoke. Having heard the same mold of speech for two years already, Sara hardly paid much attention, spending the few moments loosening up with a session of shadowboxing. "So can we, like, start already?"

"Patience Sara. We have many new arrivals. We start most days with power development. This class will help you learn to control your powers. It is important that you learn to control them so that you may lead full lives. You will never be normal but that doesn't mean you can't be happy. Sara whuh don't you tart by showing our new arrivals what you can do?" Ms. Smith suggested.

Haven was ecstatic. It wasn't often that people took a liking to her when they hardly knew her so the fact that Leon was eager to show off to her delighted her. He was so cool. He was very cute, had an amazing smile, and seemed to enjoy talking to her. If she wasn't careful, she was going to develop a crush. Those never ended well in foster houses. It either lead to the foster parents making a huge deal about it and separating the kids or hurt feelings with someone you had to live with on a daily basis. Haven wasn't interested in getting tangled in either of those messes. She pushed her feelings down, smiled slightly, stood up and put a snarky edge in her voice when she replied, "Well, then. How about you show me what you got?"

"Good thing everything here is made for us." Leo thought out loud as he stood up and then looked at Sara. Her destructive force would wreck this place if it hadn't been for the special material that was placed within the building itself. He would like to see the others' powers as he already familiarized himself with the powers of the orphans who has been with him for a while now. He then looked at Ms. Smith who was confident that she wouldn't destroy anything so he just shrugged and looked back at Sara. He wanted to see how much she has improved.

will I be able to stop myself if it gets out of hand? jack wondered as time started to slip away, events of the past began to fill his mind, so much had happened to him in such short time that he barley hade time to just sit still and calm down, some of his greatest friends turned their backs on him when they saw his power, his family shut him out when they saw his power, and now he is in a place filled with people, he was grateful that none of them knew his power, as it could hurt someone. he looked at the palm of his hand as a shadow began to manifest in it. "only a week ago I loved you, but now I don't know what to think of you" he said to himself.Jack loved the powers he had, but he also fears it greatly, knowing that others might get hurt if he were to use it.

Outside the orphanage a car pulled up. Inside the car was two young females who was looking out the window with a set of blue and red eyes. They looked at the driver/social worker, who nodded and watched as the two exited the car. Both were wearing strapless dresses. The girl with the red hair was wearing a cherry red dress that reached all the way to her knees. Her long waist length red hair was in a right side pony tail making it only touch her mid back. The other girl with the blue hair was wearing a ocean blue dress that also reached her knees but the top of hers was ruffled a little. Her hair was in a left side pony tail. Yumiko took her sisters had and held it tightly as they made their way to the doors of their new home.

"You ready for this Mikine." she asked her sister, who looked a little scared. Both had bruises and healing scars that were in plain sight.

"I am ready as I will ever be Yumiko"Mikine said. Yumiko nodded and knocked on the door.

Anya giggled at the girls impatience To begin. She didn't believe she was different from other kids. I mean she has plenty of animal friends who were like her and just as young. She just had mixed talents. She wondered if there were any open windows, or if she could open any windows. Maybe she could call for a pretty bird to show the nice lady her talents.

"Sara why don't you start while I go get the door."Ms.Smith suggested. She headed out of the gym. It didn't take her long to reach the door. She opened the door to find two girls on the porch. "Follow me."

Two new orphans. More additions to this nice little family of misfits. Yes, he was happy that a lot of people were coming. There were more people like him and more people in his family. He was interested in them, wanting to know their experiences and things like that. Although he was a little sad, being in this orphanage means that they're family either didn't accept them or died. That's what he hated. The idea that most of them just got out of something traumatizing like their parents' deaths and here he was, happy that they are here. He knew about this sort of behavior was weird but he couldn't help himself.

"Or maybe I could start? My power's pretty easy to comprehend." He said as he raised his hand when Ms. Smith came back. He didn't like showing off his powers but they gotta start somewhere that is not so destructive and scary like Sara's. Not that he minded it all that much, it's just that it might scare the new orphans. But then again, their powers might be more destructive than Sara's. Oh well, he already said it so he might as well just wait for an answer.

"Sure! 'bout time!" Sara gleefully kicked off from the floor and ran across the gym into an attached weight room. A moment later, she returned with a forty-five pound bar bell and a gym mat. Her restlessness grew more apparent as she ran back to the weight room, returning yet again with a pair of forty-five pound plates; she would continue to stack plates onto the barbell until it was filled up. "Please," she said, albeit insincerely, to Leo. "I'm sure the the newbies have seen way worse than me. Besides, I'll start slow anyways. My powers ain't all about breaking things."

jack looked up to see a girl on the floor hauling tons of weights in to the room, he was rather confused..."what?..."

Brooke watched curiously as a young girl with twintails entered the room in gym clothing. She started running back and forth from the weight room, stacking a ludicrious number of plates onto the barbell. Unconsciously, Brooke leaned forwards, her earlier nervousness evaporating in the face of her curiosity. Did the girl - Sara, as Ms. Smith had called her - have super-strength? Perhaps it was something more destructive, since she'd told them that there was more to it than breaking things. Regardless, Brooke was eager to see Sara's power in action, and hoped that she'd have a chance to watch the others use their powers as well.

William raised his eyebrows at this girl who was to demonstrate her powers for them, he wondered exactly what she was going to do, he put his chin in his hands leaning on his knees watching.

The biggest problem with being blind was tht you had no idea what was going on. Demonstrations might be great for the other new arrivas. But they didn't do her a lick of good. She heard someone rushing about. The girl clearly had too much energy. She also head metal clsnging. What was that? It wasn't a sound she had heard before so she had no way of knowing what caused it. Destructive? That word caught her attention more then any of the others she heard. What kind of power was being shown?
