Simon sat in the backseat of a now parked car as his eyes were fixed towards the outside, where he saw happy and nervous first years, along with some of his friends, too. His parents turned towards him with smiles plastered upon their faces as he eyed them then shook his head with an eye roll and stared back outside. "I told you that I wanted to drive myself for my last year. Everyone else is probably doing it." Simon said as his father looked at him. "Well, is everyone else trying to make flying cars and crashing them, too?" His mother laughed as he shook his head and opened his door. "Whatever." Was all he said when he got out and closed the door.
The trunk popped open and he grabbed his three luggage bags, two of them with wheels and another he had to sling over his shoulder and carry. Simon's parents also got out of the car and he eyed them. "Whoa, you guys are not walking me to the platform, are you?" It was more like a plead for them not to. Simon bit his bottom lip nervously as his parents looked at each other then back at him. "Okay. We'll ease up here. Bye, son." His father said as his mother, tear filled eyes stepped forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Love you, Simon." Simon stood there then raised his hand up and offered them a wave goodbye before turning heel and walking towards platform 9 3/4.
As he watched the others before go through the platform, he breathed and readied himself then ran towards the platform, going through it with ease. The train whistle blew as a test, it seemed like. Simon's eyes looked all over and saw nothing but a bunch of first years running around. It was a slew of them this year. One first year bumped into him and fell to the ground. Simon looked down at him and nodded his head firmly before walking away, getting on board and finding an empty compartment.
Simon found one and did a spell to minimize his luggage then placed it underneath his seat but not before taking out a piece of paper and writing in bold letters "Do Not Enter" then taped it to the compartment window. He smirked as people past and saw it then sat back down in his seat then laid down. He heard the train whistle again and someone calling out all aboard as he knew that the train was fixing to be in transition on towards the new Hogwarts.
As the train slowly started to move, Simon sat up for a moment to see if anyone was going to enter his compartment. He wanted to see who was brave enough to cross that line. Basically, he just wanted to see who was really worth something this year at Hogwarts. Simon continued to smirk at his do not enter sign on the door of his compartment then peered his gaze towards the window, staring out of it and looking at the scenery as the train was now roaring on the tracks.
