Veronica noticed the angel-winged girl start to cry and stray from the group and a frown grew on her face. "Jen, you think we should head after her?" She said, gesturing towards Katherin. A corner of Veronica's mind scolded her for forgetting about one of the people in the group. She stood up and readied to follow Katherin. Veronica had got so caught up in her own affairs that she neglected such a precious individual.

"That obvious huh?" He raised an eyebrow. "I figured you'd have come across plenty of prostitutes on the street." Kiiros himself had high standards, he may never have had sex with a girl but he wasn't looking for just any girl. A prostitute is one he doesn't have any interest in turning to, it'd be far too easy for him. He likes to have a challenge when it comes to that sort of matter; that or it's giving the other a challenge, making him play hard to get.

"Probably," she said quietly.
Honestly, she hadn't spent that much time with the winged girl, and she kind of regretted it. She seemed innocent almosy. And Jen knew that quality was a rare commodity nowadays

Yeah, he's seen his fair share of hos, thots, tricks, sluts, and whatever other names that people called them but he never pursued one before. "I'm guessing you have a high standard? wanting the best of the best or the most stuck up bitch that you can crack?"

Three people run away from the group in twenty minutes...is there something harmful about this group? Veronica gave a fast paced walk as she went after Katherin. "Hey! Katherin! Want to talk about it?" Jennifer would be arriving to them soon. Letting someone, other than Kiiros, go off was a signal she needed to do something. The group she lived with rarely had people pull a vagabond and go off, this was mostly due to the streets being extraordinarily more dangerous than inside the facility.

Jen followed behind her, deciding to stay silent for the mean time. Veronica could probably handle this on her own, but she'd be there in case she needed backuo of some sort.

"More so the best of the best. I'd rather someone with good hygiene and looks instead of one who is unclean and unattractive. Such is the way of finding a mate, heheh." He had to be honest with himself, he'd probably be traumatized to some extent if good hygiene and looks wasn't a major part of his 'Who I'd Like to Fuck' list.

"Yeah that's a good idea on what you can go far but are you even sure that they'd want you?" he asked wondering how Kiiros would pull off a task of getting the kind of woman he wanted. "I just want someone that's chill and down to earth. I don't need a barbie." Looking over at Jen and Veronica "So...you wouldn't go after either of those girls over there. They look clean and I guess attractive enough."

"Not on my own no. I don't think either of them are what I'd call my type, but I bet if they tried they could definitely persuade me." He actually gave it some thought. "Either way, it doesn't matter a whole lot to me whether a woman likes me or not. I never did say anything about consent." He gave an evil smug look before deciding to leave it at that and head to a seat in the audience area, deciding he would actually watch this specific fight.

Katherin looked over her shoulder and shook her head. "Why? There isn't any point in me staying with the group. I will never be a part of it." It was clear that she was so far behind socially that she would never catch up. They would always be talking about things she knew nothing about and would never be able to experience.

Given Katherin's limiting factor, it would be be more difficult to get her to see the other side than it would with the others. "If you keep pushing away from people, than of course you won't fit in. You will need to step outside your comfort zone if you want change to happen." Veronica put her hand on Katherin's shoulder. "Most of us here don't care that you are different; your differences are a gift, not a curse. However much you may think you are too different, know that you can belong in any group if you try hard enough." The words coming out of her mouth felt cheesy, but there was slim chance she had heard this all before.

"That is easy for you to say Veronica. I sat there and listened to you guys talk about things I have never experienced. Things I will never experience. I haven't done have the things you guys talk about. I could sit there for weeks without a clue what your talking about. I could sit there an listen but that's it. That won't make me part of the group."Katherin told her. She had tried. It wasn't like she hadn't. But she couldn't contribute anything.

Ryouko nodded, his grin still present as he watched Damien drop into his stance. His eyes were narrowed, his body dropped into a crouch. "Your move." He said, his voice clear, as he noticed Damien wasn't going to back down. This would be a very hard fight...but very fun to be in.

The blood on the palm of Ryouko's hands was spread out very thin, but clumped together in the lines of his skin, drawing more blood slowly from the break in the skin that he had made earlier. 'Time for me to show my blood skills.' He then thought of a joke and chuckled, speaking across the field to Damien. "Fighting is in my blood..! Or well, just is my blood."

Hearing Kiiros out, Wes followed him to take a seat so to watch the match up of the next fighters. He thought about what Kiiros said and thought of a crazy idea regarding He, Kiiros, Veronica, and Jen but didn't know how they'd react to it.

Veronica's resolve hardened. "Trust me, you never, ever want to go through half of the things we were talking about." The seriousness in her voice reverberated through the words. "Merely spectating on the action, rather than joining in on it, is more what would alienate you. I implore you to be more active with us; you will see how apart of the group you are when you participate." Veronica withdrew her arm back to herself and turned to the fight. "On another note, you probably loads have stories you could tell us. I won't believe for a single second that you don't have anything to say about your life." The genuine interest in Katherins' life now apparent.

"I have spent my life avoiding people V. I have never been to school. The only storied I can tell you are things I have seen from the air. I have had very few interactions. I CAN'T join in. You haven't talked about one thing that I have experienced. Not one thing all day. How can I contribute when I have nothing to say?" She hadn't been talking just about their negative experiences. She was talking about everything. She had never had a friend.

Veronica noticed the slightest chink in Katherin's resistance. "Tell me about flight then. I have never been more than three stories high." Brief thoughts of other ways to say it were considered, but shot down for various reasons. Even with the ability to hover and living on various rooftops, height had never been sought after.

Katherin smiled sadly. She appreciated Veronica's suggestion. But she didn't see how it could help that would last a couple of conversations at the most. "It is nice of you to try Veronica. But telling you that wouldn't last very long and then what? I am not trying to be difficult. I just don't see what I have to offer. My experiences are much more limited then the rest of you. Kiiros is the most experienced and I am the least. The rest of you are somewhere in the middle."

"First of all: I have a few years on Kiiros, he may have had an actual JOB, but that doesn't equate to experience. Second of all:It doesn't matter how long the story is. All I want is for you to describe one of your flights with as much detail as possible." Trying to get Katherin to open up was proving difficult, but getting her involved felt important. This kind of no-one-left-behind idea has been with Veronica since she left home. The thought of high flight brought a smile to Veronica's face.

"I actually feel jealous of you. You think its a curse that you haven't experienced all of this stuff, but I see it is a blessing. You still have so much to do, so much to see. And you have something I never had. You have people to help guide you through everything, to show you the good and the bad, and to support you along the way. I didn't have that for most of my life. You're lucky," Jen said to Katherin, her eyes happy. She hadn't had someone like that till she met Dolly, and she definitely didn't have it over the past two years.
