Hey, I actually considered making a prophecy of my own! I just abandoned it after a short while of fiddling because it seemed hopelessly difficult to write it in poetic form, make it have actual meaning, and not make it that blatantly obvious.

Whereas some of you scrublords have threads for all your characters and WIP posts, I stuff all this stuff away in PMs sent to myself. (How fitting that I talk to myself on those PM conversations)

...

After some digging, I found it! From a whopping 11 months ago! Though some of its foreshadowed events have already happened, maybe I'll look at it some more and submit it to your secret-Santa prophecy post.

All Vowzra did was prophesize xDD 'there will be war' [this was actually in reference to the Realta invasion], 'damn, I'm dying' [this was in reference to him...well, dying], 'what's with those f**ing Eyes all the time' [what was with those f**ing Eyes all the time?], 'hmm, there's something familiar about that Belru...I think we gonna have relations' [no way, when did he...oh, he did. Kinda].

He even added the potential for seeing snippets of the future through dreams, so I'm quite happy that we're finally planning to utilise it! I've no idea how we'll be able to maintain complete anonymity, but I'm all for this idea. Perhaps we can have a shared pad (with the colours turned off) where each person dumps their prophesy anonymously whenever or something?

I'm up for it, but prophecies for Amartía aren't exactly good for everyone...in the long run...

Dropping content because you don't know how to write is the worst. Happens to me all that time because I'm an ESL who picked one of the domains that require language the most. One of the reasons why I haven't done anything with The Bard in fact, but in general it just frustrates me, like when you talked about the gods talking more like gods, which I would love to do, but it just doesn't go through when I try.

By all means, how well you've done (and continue to do) writing in a language that isn't your primary is admirable. At the core of my reluctance to write such things is perfectionism (I never feel satisfied with any of my posts, really, but I just write and then post it before I go mad) but also just pride of a sort. If I don't think something is of good enough quality to not reflect poorly upon my writing skills then I just won't post it.

One of the reasons I started roleplaying was to improve my writing skills. I did learn to have some fun with it, but part of that original mindset is still with me. I need to get better, and to do that I strive to write to the best of my ability. That prophecy part, for instance, seemed substandard to the rest to my writing so I simply didn't post it.

So even though it's tempting for me to say that we're not judging your English and suggest that you just take a stab at whatever you feel uncomfortable with, I completely understand why you wouldn't want to. It's natural to take pride in your work and I can only imagine that you'd have a similar view to my own.

...well, that was quite the rant. But maybe you'll find some worth in it.

I admit that whenever I go back and read all the attempts at poetry in my previous posts, I get really embarrassed. It suddenly seems very bad when I go back to it. If you guys remember there was a long half-done post I once posted that was all in verse. There's just a part of me that wants to experiment and push personal limits. I actually had one of the mods take that one down because I got so embarrassed of it, but I've yet to do that with any of my other embarrassing posts.

The point is to push your limits and be proud that you did so, even if the quality is not what you'd like it to be or if you feel embarrassed of posting it after a while. If it's embarrassing the first time, it will make you work harder the second. And the third. And the fourth. And every time thereafter as you keep on pushing your limits.

Hmm, now that I think on it, a complete post written purely in verse would be quite the entertaining challenge after all this time. It takes SO MUCH TIME though! These poems aren't easy! The philosophical/nonsense ramblings are very much more my cup of tea C:

Poetry, poetry, poetry...

O how I dispiseth thee;
Yet subtly tempting me;
But the temptation is fleeting;
Sadly I would never be writing;
Fucking poetry;
How I dispiseth thee.

I don't really write poetry, but I do know it can be highly philosophical at times. Sadly, poetry just isn't one of my likings and so I have actually never written anything poetic in my life. Yay.

Poetry is the devil. It a gateway to hell with the eyes of Satan staring into your soul unblinkingly.

@Antarctic Termite Tbh, as long as we're not restricted to just poetry, I'm all for this idea.
