Jammy shook her bear "no, just those within the city, and some of the land outside the city. I do not like being too far from the city without a quick way to return" she said

Both Nux and Sasha nodded, "without acting, nothing can be" Nyx said, and smiled, shifting slightly, and gently shiftef the egg

Hermia was glad to get clean. She managed to clean herself up without messing the bathroom, glad for that. She didn't want to cause a mess in someone else's home. She checked to make sure there was no mud she had missed, and checked her claws

[Aristocles]

"I understand that. I suppose it would be dangerous for you to go outside the city walls if you have to go into the wilderness alone. Bandits would hardly hesitate to abduct a female, you know" Iskra replied.

Kos turned to Nyx, not having spoken with her much. "So, Nyx? I guess the egg... er..." he wasn't sure how to put it. Larek turned to his half-brother. "I guess you want to ask what it's like being a parent?"

Kos nodded. "That, yes. Thanks."

Veax was sure he was clean too. "Alright. We should be fine now. Ready for dinner? I suppose it will be ready in an hour or two."

"That doesn't worry me" Jammy said, "You could just as easily be knifed in the street as abducted. No, if i went outside the city, Id have to take all my stuff with me, leaving none in the city, because i wouldn't be aware of what I'd need"

Nyx contentedly waited for Kos to speak, then shrugged, and said "Right now, its merely just looking after the egg. Not so hard. Keeping it warm and safe. Just seems like endless waiting for it to hatch, so we can meet our hatchling. I just feel...Amazed and impatient. " She laughed, "It's a type of immortality, isn't it? children. Grandchildren. Great grandchildren..As long as our lines live, there's a little part of us living on, through our children"

hermia thought for a minute, before sayig "We could see how our siblings are. It's been a while, it seems, since I've talked to any of them"

[Aristocles]

"I suppose that's a smart way to go about it" Iskra replied.

"Well, not quite. It isn't so much immortality for us as for those who came before us... and those who came before them... really, not immortality for an individual, but for a line stretching in either direction from that individual" Kos said.

"How thoughtful" Larek remarked.

"Well, I think about more than just how to live up to our father" Kos told his half-brother.

"Good idea. I'd like to see what Larek is up to, and I'm sure your sisters would like to see you" Veax replied.

"If I had a way of having everything with it not being heavy, or having a way of knowing what I needed, then i would do so. Right now that it just isn't practical, no matter how much I wish I could do it" jammy said

Nyx decided not to mention that she had said a type of immortality and just let it go, nodding, giving Sasha a smile, "you were working on a family tree right? It will be amazing when it's finished, I think!" Sasha nodded, "it's a bit of work, because I change fabrics, but when it's finished it will be worth it".

Hermia nodded and smiled, beginning to search for her sisters, and Vaexs brothers, "can you see them?" She asked

Veax looked and found Larek and Kos. "I see them. There!" He led Hermia to the others.

"Oh, hi Veax. Having a good time?" Larek asked.

"Oh yes. And you?"

"It's fine. I was just talking with Kos, Nyx, and the others about family. Nyx and Sasha are talking about making a family tree. Some sort of quilt or blanket or something" Larek added.

Meanwhile, Iskra nodded in response to Jammy.

"I see. Well, it is getting a bit late. Perhaps we should see if they need help getting dinner ready?" the grandmotherly dracon suggested.

Hermia followed Vaex, happy to dad her sisters again.quickly striking a conversation up with Them, She asked How they were, getting their replies. Sasha then spoke up, with a shrug "it's just something I thought about doing. I know it's a lot of work, but I think it will be fantastic to have, and it's easy enough to keep it up to date. You just add more fabric" she said "it would be more of a tapestry, once I get it done"

"Sure, we can do that" Jammy said, looking about them "I'm sure they wouldn't mind a couple of pairs of extra hands, with so many mouths to feed"

"Alright. Let's see if they need help in the kitchen" Iskra replied.

Larek, Kos, and Veax were now all sitting with the girls. "Caex is still busy" Veax noted.

"He's got things to do with Avera and Auryn" Larek noted.

"So, Sasha, what fabric do you want to make the tapestry out of?" Kos wondered.

"And I imagine tran and Orna are around somewhere" hermia said, having not seen tran the whole gathering, but knowing he was around somewhere. She was quite happily sitting with her sisters, having missed their company greatly, and wanting to spend as much time as she could with them.

Sasha was thoughtful for a few moments, then said "well actually, from wool. I can make yarn by weaving it and then dye it to the colours I need and weave it into a tapestry" she said "it will take a long time, but the result will last and can be easily fixed if there are any damages"

Nyx smiled, and was happy to simply listen at the moment

[Aristocles]

"Wool? I suppose I'll have to shear some of the sheep. I'm always surprised it doesn't hurt them when they lose their wool, but if they won't mind, I'm fine with it" Kos replied.

"Since when do you care about the welfare of sheep?" Larek asked, surprised at his half-brother's seeming kindness towards the animals.

"Since I had to start working with them a lot more. I know you always liked them, but I didn't. Not until recently" Kos replied.

"You liked to eat them" Larek said, with a smirk. It was true. Kos enjoyed the taste of mutton, and some of his fondest memories on the farm were being fed by his father, who of course had more food for his son than he had ever eaten back at Hekaga. He still remembered how wide his eyes were when he saw the steaming pile of meat for the first time his father had fed him. Of course, it was goat meat, not sheep, but for a child who had gone hungry for most of his life up until that point, he didn't care what kin of animal the meat was from.

Larek turned to Nyx, as he often did. "Enjoying yourself, dear?"

Veax pulled up a seat for Hermia. "I'm sure they are around here somewhere" he replied, speaking of his sister and her brother.

"It's different" Sasha said "when they're your own. Sheeps wool is good to use, easy to dye, and it has a nice quality to it. Besides, if they weren't sheered I suspect they would grow to heavy to move" she said, with slight amusement, "and would probably be uncomfortable for the sheep" she added thoughtfully, wondering how sheep in the wild managed. Were there wild sheep? Perhaps they figured out ways of keeping their wool down-catching it on things or such.

Nyx nodded, "yep. It's nice, this gathering. Reminds me of the city,
The simplicity of a crowd" she said, musingly.

"Probably. I'm sure we can catch up with then at dinner" hermia said

(Mind if we cut to dinner? Ghostwing hasn't been on for a long time. Sorry if this isn't in OOC, but it tends to get noticed faster here, I think. I'm preparing a post for the dinner segment, if that is okay with you).

(Okay, now I will give a real post. Sorry for the delay!)

A couple of hours later, it was dinnertime, at last. The family and guests were seated around two tables, the children sitting at a smaller one by the side, while the adults were at the larger central one.

Dinner was a rather sumptuous affair, with several courses of meat, a thick stew, salad, fruits, and all the bread that one could eat. Kos took some of the meat and passed it to Larek. Veax passed some of the fruit to Hermia while munching on some bread, a bit uneasy at the large crowd. Larek passed some sliced tomato and cheese to Nyx.

"Enjoying yourself?" Larek asked her. He noticed that Caex had been with Avera and Auryn for quite a while. Then again, he was a husband and father now, so family matters had to come first.

Hermia took the fruit, giving Vaex a smile. Having worked in the inn for a while, she was use to crowds, but knew that Vaex wasn't. She took some fruit, before passing it on.

Nyx nodded and smiled "yeah, it's been a nice day" she said, as she picked up some cheese, "it's nice out families can get together like this"

Sasha took some food when it was passed to her, passing the dishes over when she had taken a serving, talking with her mother briefly

"Good to hear" Larek replied, taking another bite of meat.

Kos dipped some of his bread in some of the salty fish sauce. "It's really quite good. Whoever made this did an excellent job."

Veax took some soup and ate quietly, frequently turning to look at Hermia.

Orna had returned from the tour with her husband, and like the others, was seated at the table with the other adults.

Caex, for his part, was still keeping quiet for now, although he did have to handle his son a few times, freeing up Avera before eventually passing Auryn back to her, then alternating back to Caex.

Nyx smiled, as she continued to eat. It was a good atmosphere and Nyx enjoyed it. While she really only missed her parents and siblings, at times she did miss the hustle and bustle of the city. It was nice to be with her family, even if Railing wasn't there, and Nyx contently cherished every moment being here.

Sasha had to agree as she tried some and she said "perhaps I can learn how to make it for you"

Everytime Veax looked at her, hermia gave him a smile. She leaned over and kissed his cheek "you're doing well. Just relax." She wanted him to relax and be happy.

Tran took the opportunity to speak with his parents and siblings, but more often then not, he had his attention on Orna.

After a while, dessert was put out. They had fruit, honeyed bread, and for the adults, sweet wine, and nuts and mints for the side. They also had a bit of cake.

Larek nuzzled Nyx briefly, then reach out to get some of the sweets, passing them to his wife first, then taking some for himself.

Caex got up for a moment to deal with Veax. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah, just a bit nervous."

"This is quite possibly the safest place you could be? Maybe you should have a talk with father after this."

"Alright, I will" Veax replied. Caex went back to his seat, next to Avera and Auryn.

Orna had her eyes set on Tran. Her mind was set on what she would be doing with him when they got home, but it wasn't something she'd dare bring up in a family meeting.

Kos agreed to be shown how to make the sauce. "I guess your mother taught you how to make it, Sasha? I'm sure you can make it well."

Nyx took a sweet, giving Larek a smile, passing him the plate back to let him take some. She contentedly leaned back where she sat, knowing that they were safe, and so was the egg.

Hermia smiled at Ceax, and greeted him, and was going to ask how things were, when he returned to his family. Not wanting to disturb them, she turned back to Vaex.

Tran met Orna's eyes and smiled, reaching over, and taking her hand in his, gently stroking her hand, enjoying the smoothness of her skin.

Sasha smiled, and shrugged, "Yeah, but Hermia is better at cooking then me. Still, sauce is easy to make" She said

Larek reached over and briefly scratched Nyx's back, moving in a circular motion. He knew where she enjoyed it, and he wanted her to be happy. Then, he finished his desert.

Veax gave Hermia a smile, but it was clear something was bothering him. It wasn't painful or bad, but he was uncomfortable.

Orna stroked Tran's face back, appreciating his thicker skin, which was fitting for a male. The contrast between his strength and her grace made her quite aroused, but she did her best not to show it. Nevertheless, the flame of desire was evident in her eyes.

Kos turned to Sasha. "Well, maybe I can learn how to do it too. Heh. Funny. It's not something most males are concerned with, but for once, I don't care if it is."
