I don't plan to interfere with the fight going on in Roanapur, but with how much noise Forneus made/makes, I couldn't conceive of a reason Kl'rt wouldn't investigate.

Also, I've had a fairly solid idea of what the human form Kl'rt has been taking looks like, but I only linked it to a person/character today. If anyone wants to notice him and Clem on the periphery of things, Kl'rt's human form is basically Peter Capaldi

EDIT: Incidentally, I'm also not opposed to being drawn into the fight.
Clementine - Roanapur

The day had started off so well. It had gone to hell so quickly. Between getting separated from Juri and getting chased by monsters that were arguably worse than walkers, Clementine was more than a little worried about what to expect from the rest of the month. Since the death of the first bug to chase her, Clem had been hiding. In the garbage. She had climbed into a half full dumpster and pulled it shut over her, and gave thanks that most of the trash had turned into food. From there she listened to the sound of the challenge occurring throughout the city.

She heard gunfire from all directions, and screams too. There were the screams of food animals, but those were the fewest. Likely, those creatures had been hunted almost to depletion by the time the bugs arrived. There was the hideous screech of the giant bugs as they were gunned down, or killed by the people from other worlds. It wasn't like anything Clementine had ever heard before. What she heard the most though, was the screams of humans being torn apart and eaten alive. Compared to the noise the bugs made, those screams were something horribly familiar.

Clementine made herself comfortable, and waited for the screaming to stop. She heard an explosion from somewhere high, and the sounds of... something hitting the ground. A few minutes later, the screaming stopped. Clementine shifted her body, and opened the dumpster a crack. The light was briefly blinding, but soon her eyes adjusted. Nothing was moving nearby. Scattered through the street were pieces of bugs, and more than a few complete bugs, but all of them were scorched or burning. It stank.

Climbing out of the dumpster, Clem jumped down to the pavement, and set off at a cautious walk down out of the alley and down the street.
She didn't take more than a dozen steps though, before the ground started glowing. "I REALLY don't like this city.." she muttered. That was just strange though. Then the screaming started, and Clem was running. Clementine understood the screams of people dying. It bothered her, but at the same time it didn't. She didn't know what was causing these screams, and that made her very uncomfortable.

She didn't run far either though, because after the first turn she tried to make, she ran in to ...

The Super Skrull - Roanapur

Kl'rt had slain several more bugs at ground level before becoming unable to find new targets. Despite limiting himself to his shape-shifted claws and the most basic techniques of the Skrull race's unarmed combat, they had been no challenge. Abandoning the form of the hero from Earth, Kl'rt resumed his form as second in command of the city's gang. Straightening up his clothes, he started walking back towards the warehouse district.

A block away from where he had finished fighting, the disguised Skrull was met by a human in military garb, carrying an assault rifle. A second such man was standing about ten feet further back, and their attitude suggested they were not the only soldiers present. Neither soldier took an aggressive stance. The closer soldier spoke abruptly; "Hotel Moscow is aware of your feats this day, and is impressed. You are invited to meet once more at the Yellow Flag, in order to discuss a mutually beneficial relationship." Kl'rt gave the soldier a curt nod, and the soldiers departed.

Wondering briefly how much the Russians knew, the Super Skrull began walking towards the bar, when a cacophony arose from the very streets. The invitation would have to wait. If this noise heralded the next challenge, Kl'rt would not shy away from it. He cut through an alley, heading towards the source of the racket. At the far end of the alley, just before stepping out into the wider street, something collided with him. While the disguised Skrull readied himself to counterattack as soon as he pinpointed his newest opponent, Clementine fell back and sprawled on the concrete.

Lowering his guard, the Skrull lifted the child back to her feet. As with most of the new arrivals on this world, Kl'rt had seen her in the bar the previous night. She hadn't seemed like anything special, and had left with the martial artist Juri. The last report he'd gotten was that she had been abandoned by this protector, and Kl'rt had to re-evaluate her, for having survived the insect swarm. "You're still alive. That's impressive. If you want to stay that way, you should keep close by and out of the way... or get very far away, as fast as you can."

He didn't wait for a response, but continued following the noise to its source. As he was getting much closer, a glance confirmed that the child had in fact followed him, was keeping only a couple steps behind him, and had drawn one of her guns. At last, the two of them came upon the source. Standing in the middle of an intersection were four figures. Kl'rt slowed and then stopped, staying far enough back to remain unnoticed for now. He moved along the wall, Clementine close behind him. Kl'rt recognized most of those standing in the intersection. He had seen three of them on the night of the arrival.

His view was first drawn to DIO at the head of the group of three, who had attacked him not long ago. The Armored warrior to DIO's side was an almost unknown factor, but for what Kl'rt had seen on the first night. Finally, the Skrull looked at Juri. All three of these had displayed power that Kl'rt had either seen first hand, or had reported to him. The fourth figure was totally unknown until he identified himself. Forneus and DIO spent some time quipping back and forth, petty words that Kl'rt expected from humans by now. He barely contained his scorn when DIO compared himself to an emperor, since he had made the comment in front of an actual emperor.

When Forneus' cat familiar was destroyed, he revealed himself to have been the origin of the light and the screams. DIO and Juri both whispered something, and a fight seemed to be brewing. As a precaution, Kl'rt wrapped himself and Clementine behind a force field, and leaned against a wall to watch what happened next.

@LuciansMentor@GameGuruGG@Invisible Man@Lugubrious
Ok, so. For anyone wondering, right now we've got the following characters active within the last 14 days

Incidentally, @Flamelord, Super Skrull knows about Garie and I think I'd like to interact, but I've got to get a post up for both him and Clem, and I'm not really sure why they would interact to begin with.

Clementine sooort of knows about her, but there were a lot of generally weird people in the bar that night, so Garie probably didn't stick out as much for Clem.
Honestly half of the reason for Clem being in Roanapur is because going from TWD to talking ponies and cement mixers without anything in between would've been the sort of contrast that would convince her either that she had lost it, or that it was all a dream, and in either case it wouldn't really be Clementine if I RPed her as crazy or like she thought none of it were real.

The rationale I've talked with Grey about is more that either a mix-up or specific ploy by the guy that brought everyone sent her to Roanapur and Krieg to Mahora.
It looks like Edward is interacting with her, at least.
@LugubriousUndyne is in Mahora
I read everything. It's not the clustered, well aside from everyone fighting bugs. We should probably group together or somethin. I was planning on having Forneus finding his way to 7th Street and possibly meeting Dio and Juri.

If you want to meet up with Kl'rt on the way over there, that'd be fine by me.
Super Skrull - Skies over Roanapur

To survive a war, you had to be lucky and you had to be aware. This didn't apply to everyone, of course; Some lucky bastards were just immortal. Kl'rt, though mighty, could die as easily as any skrull. Yet he had survived more wars than most Earthlings could even name. Wars that had slain gods and torn the universe asunder. Over the decades, Kl'rt's survival had become less a matter of luck, and more the result of increasing awareness and experience. He had been swarmed by the bugs almost immediately when he took to the skies. The number of targets was too high to bother counting, while the challenge was low enough that the only satisfaction came from just how many he killed.

Surrounded as he was by rising smoke, flying bugs and falling corpses, Kl'rt may have met his end had the attack been aimed at him directly. The bright pink lines tore through one of Kl'rt's more distant foes and then swung toward the skrull, swinging back and forth and killing about half the remaining swarm; the half closer to their origin. Whether Kl'rt was at the edge of their range, or his assailant below had only fired them so far, he did not know. As soon as they had moved towards him though, the Super-skrull flew beyond their reach, wrapping himself in a force field so he could concentrate on their origin.

The figure he saw at the other end was one he recognized both from reports he had received and their arrival in this city. The human was dressed in the flamboyant manner Kl'rt had come to expect from Earth champions. It was obviously an attack on Kl'rt at least as much as it was targeting the bugs, so this one was more likely what the humans would call a villain. So be it, thought Kl'rt. Let him think himself successful. The skrull pushed forth great gouts of uneven flame, as though losing control, and then surrounded himself with an inferno, roasting and igniting everything around him. He made a force bubble, then rapidly expanded it, pushing everything away from him like a blast wave. Burning corpses and shards of flaming chitin would rain down upon the surrounding blocks like shrapnel from a grenade. He had pushed much of it towards his attacker, but not enough to be obvious. If the man survived, Kl'rt could take vengeance later, for an attack on him was an attack on the Skrull Empire.

Before the smoke cleared, the super-skrull became invisible. He stretched his body and glided to the ground. Once he landed, he took on the form of an earthling he had encountered before; The one that called himself Wolverine. If others in the city were of a mind to kill him, it wouldn't hurt to take a more close quarters approach to handling the bugs. Disguising himself as a human once again was to lower the risk of being noticed by competitors. Confining himself to fighting with an emulation of claws, that was just to bring some fun into it.
Clementine - Roanapur

When Clementine was about the leave the alley, a recently familiar voice caused her to shrink back inside it once more. Hiding behind a pile of trash that hadn't been turned in to food, she watched DIO and Juri walk by. Juri looked a little worse for the wear, but she was walking unassisted and that was enough to keep Clementine from worrying much. DIO was saying something about the world and time, before pausing and talking saying something about Juri's stand. Clementine had no idea what it meant, but he made it sound important, and then they were out of sight.

Taking a moment more to make sure the coast was clear, Clementine wandered out into the street. Nothing looked dangerous nearby. There were some smaller food animals not too far away, but they weren't acting aggressive, and she didn't see a need to bother them either. She did need supplies though if she were going to spend upwards of a month alone in this city. Her pockets were empty aside from a quarter of an old granola bar, and she only had about a dozen bullets left for her pistol. With the aggressive food animals, now seemed like a good time to scavenge, and from what she had seen of Roanapur, Clementine thought she was in the perfect place to get what she needed too.

She wasn't wrong. It took her less than ten minutes to find corpses, and every single one was armed in some fashion or another. Roanapur didn't seem to have any walkers in it, but Clementine was starting to think it might be even more dangerous than where she came from, even without the strange things that were going on. Within about twenty minutes, she had found a pair of knives, a gun, a backpack, and then two more guns. All three guns were handguns and each was a couple bullets shy of being full. The first was a little larger than Clem felt she could handle, but she kept it just in case. One knife sheathe fit mostly inside her pocket, and Clementine put everything else into the smallest pocket of the backpack.

Another dozen minutes and Clementine smelled something even more valuable. Following her nose, she saw it; a turkey made entirely of jerky. Clem thought for a moment about how much she appreciated this weird food challenge. She didn't really want to kill it, but jerky would keep much better than most of the food available to be gathered. The turkey wasn't quite docile, but with a little patience, Clementine got close enough to get her hands around it, and twisted its neck. After that, she started cutting pieces off of it and loading them in to her backpack. She noticed as she cut that it didn't seem to have any bones, which made her wonder why breaking its neck worked, but she wasn't about to complain.

Almost as an afterthought, Clementine cut off one extra piece and tasted it. Against all sense, the turkey had been made of beef jerky.

Moving on, Clementine found herself uncertain what to do. She was walking aimlessly when everything seemed to happen at once. She started to cross an intersection, and spotted the beast down the street a little ways. It was a rhinoceros made of what looked like thick glass, with a dark purple-red fluid sloshing inside. A different dark red fluid altogether covered its head and parts of its feet. Clementine wasn't sure what was inside it, but she knew what was on the outside even without seeing the bodies scattered around it. She turned and ran back up the street, hoping it hadn't noticed her.

These things never worked out the way you hoped. A few seconds later, the wineoceros crashed around the corner, smashing through a street sign that was still made of metal, first bending and then shearing it off of its base. The glass beast slowed a bit as it made a wide turn, but it was gaining on Clem almost immediately, and was far faster than anything she could outrun. An alleyway up ahead gave her slim hope, and she ran for it as fast as she had ever run for anything. She thought for half an instant about how much she hated this weird food challenge. The sound of glass on pavement was getting closer, fast, and when Clem turned down the alley it was so loud and close that she wasn't sure how it hadn't already trampled her. There was a crashing noise, but it wasn't until she reached the opposite end of the alley that Clementine dared to look. The wall had been graham cracker, and the terrifying animal was pulling itself loose.

Clementine drew her gun, aimed, and fired a shot, but the bullet just bounced off the thick glass. It shook its head, scuffed a foot against the ground, looking ready to charge again. Clementine felt a strong, cool rush of air from behind her, just as she turned to run away again, and found herself facing something that was probably actually worse. Some sort of bug, more than twice Clem's height. It had mandibles as long as her arm and mantis-like claws as big as her entire body, raised up high and ready to strike.

Caught between a rock and a hard place, Clem could hear the thundering of the wineoceros. She dove to the side, hoping she made it out of the way, and crawling another foot and looking back over her shoulder. The bug's blade came down on glass, cutting clean through as the beasts horn pierced through the bug. A spray of wine marked the glass creature's death, but inertia carried it and the mantis monster across the street, and into a wall that was thankfully still made of brick. The bug didn't move again. Clementine took a closer look at it, although not much closer, in case it was still alive. It definitely wasn't made of any kind of food.

What the hell was happening?

Super Skrull - Roanapur

After the report on the battle, the next report Kl'rt had received was that the combatants had vanished. The next thing he heard after that was that the city was besieged by giant insects. It stirred old memories in him, and he wanted to see it for himself. Before going out though, he ordered the entire gang to go to ground. Hide, stay safe, and keep alive. Within minutes, everyone had rushed into the basement of the warehouse except for a few runners that would spread the word.

Kl'rt himself stepped forth from the warehouse doors, shedding his disguise as he did. His visage returned to that of the Emperor of all Skrulls, and his clothing transformed into his imperial battle regalia. Now was not a time for subtlety. He took a certain grim pleasure from what he saw before him. The streets in the warehouse district were no longer a war-zone between man and food. The bugs had joined the fight, and man had lost. This was a war Kl'rt had fought before though. The Super Skrull had slain tens, possibly hundreds of thousands in the war against the Annihilation wave, and with half a dozen allies had destroyed Annihilus' Harvester of Sorrow. The scarce dozen bugs scattered around the street held no fear for the seasoned warrior. They didn't have weapons, and they didn't act as though connected by hive-mind either, at least not yet.

Kl'rt covered his fists with stone, and wreathed them in flames, and without even moving from in front of the warehouse he struck down the bugs, reveling in the feeling of carapaces giving way under his fists once more. When the war had ended, the remained of the Wave had been allowed to sign a peace treaty. Kl'rt had not been given satisfaction; the das't bugs had killed his son, destroyed the entire planet he had been on, and in the treaty had been ceded all Skrull territory, leaving his people without a world to call their own for most of a decade. Kl'rt could kill the bugs all day. It seemed like he'd been given the chance.

With the dozen bugs nearby dead, Kl'rt took to the air, propelled like a rocket by his own flames. High above the city, he looked for areas with high concentrations of the bugs. He would have his satisfaction.
Super Skrull - Roanapur, Day 0

In a flash of light, Kl'rt had vanished from the imperial bedchambers. A long day of politics was more tiresome than any day of battle, but being thrust into unfamiliar circumstances revitalized him. When he found he couldn't control his descent, he instead wrapped himself in a force field, fading to invisibility until he had the chance to assess his new situation. After crashing to the ground, it became clear he was on Earth, and that he wasn't the only one brought in this manner. The skrull stood in his crater, silent and invisible watching as the others dispersed and wondering how he had been brought here. Certainly, several of Earth's champions would be capable, but he couldn't think of a single one who would dare snatch him. As the Emperor, taking Kl'rt was as good as a declaration of war.

The others around him were mostly dressed just as outlandishly as the humans he was used to, but he didn't recognize any of them. Once the street had mostly cleared, Kl'rt changed his shape to that of a human. Making sure his clothing matched the style of the pedestrians in the area, he followed the majority of the new arrivals into the bar. Ordering a drink and sitting alone, he listened and observed the conversations and events that followed. A reality warper wasn't much of a surprise. It had happened before, and explained the temerity of taking powerful figures.

The explanations ended, and after everyone left the bar, Kl'rt left alone a few minutes later. What followed was an excursion into the city. He walked through the streets, searching for an area that would suit his needs, passing through a scorched alleyway, traveling by a hotel that was a bustle of activity, before eventually finding himself in a warehouse district. The seedy city had not made him wait. Within moments he was surrounded by the local toughs. They demanded his money, he refused, and they attacked. Their bravado faded in an instant; their attacks were meaningless to the Super Skrull, who still looked to them like any ordinary resident of the city.

As his assailants began to fear him Kl'rt grabbed hold of one who had instigated the situation, pulled him face to face, and transformed back to his natural appearance. "Take me... to your leader, human." The man paled, but complied. Kl'rt resumed a human form, and then spent the next hour ensuring he'd reached the top of the chain of command and ensured a more private audience. When he got there, he revealed himself but didn't depose the man, making a proposition: "You will rule this city, but I will make use of you." The thug paled. Possibly he was thinking of what Kl'rt would do to him, or possibly thinking of the rivals and allies he would have to cross to rule.

The leader took only a little more convincing, and once the 'negotiation' had ended, Kl'rt was instated as his new right hand man, delivering orders to what he found out was the fifth biggest operation in Roanapur. It wasn't influential enough to act in the face of the four main bosses, and particularly not against Hotel Moscow or the Triad. It did, however, boast the most members within the city itself. Since much of the power of the Colombians relied on global connections, and the Mafia had been savaged after an event some time ago, Kl'rt considered this acquisition adequate.

Kl'rt gave orders for the gang members to observe and report the actions of any of the new arrivals to the city. He specified to not interfere for the time being, and that the easiest way to tell the new arrivals was by how they were dressed. Of those Kl'rt had seen earlier in the night, none had worn anything that matched what the locals wore, or what Kl'rt himself had morphed in to.

Having dispatched his new servants, Kl'rt retired to the office of the abandoned warehouse to get some sleep before whatever madness came next.

Super Skrull - Roanapur, Day 1

What could only have been a few hours later, Kl'rt was awakened by a rap at the door. Even before he answered the door, he could see that things had changed. Parts of the building he stood in had been transformed into a fluffy golden cake. The report he received was simply that it had happened, but that in The City, such an event was not inconceivable or terribly unusual. Dismissing the report, Kl'rt stepped outside to assess the local situation first hand. The warehouse district looked afflicted, a hodgepodge of buildings now partially turned in to food. It was pretty much what Kl'rt had come to expect from Earth.

Within half an hour, reports started to arrive once more. A man in armor wandering the streets. A fighter and a child, and the arrival of a second fighter. The two fighters slaying absurd food monsters, and then fighting each other, and the child fleeing the scene. The end of the fight, and the recovery of the fighters, as well as the observers who had gathered to watch. A vague description of the techniques used by each fighter. The male human seemed to both teleport, and to destroy a food creature without approaching it, and the female had some kind of energy projection. Kl'rt deemed the male to be the more dangerous of the two, particularly after hearing that he had also reattached his arm after battle. As of yet, he did not consider either of them a threat.

Leaving orders for the gang members to destroy food creatures, or avoid them if they couldn't manage that, Kl'rt returned to his office to await more reports before deciding on a course of action.

Clementine - Roanapur, Day 1

Clementine had looked back once, after running past Juri, and seen the woman looking her way, but not running. Clementine didn't look back again; knowing where she was going was more important than where she had already been. She couldn't hear the beast behind her anymore, or anyone running behind her either. She ducked down a narrow alley and stopped. She didn't seem to be in any more danger, and there was no sense in wasting energy she didn't have to. It spoke to how much she'd had to run in the last few years that her breathing had hardly quickened. She poked her head back out into the street, looking back the way she'd come, but she had left the house, the man and Juri well behind her and out of sight.

With no immediate danger in sight, Clementine resumed her interrupted breakfast with part of the wall she was standing by, and resigned herself to traveling alone once again.
