Hi guys, I won't do myself a character sheet right now as it is rather late here, but just to break the ice a bit here's a bit about myself.
My real name is Casper G, I am a 16 year old graphics student from england who works at a chip shop. I have short spiky blond hair, and blue eyes. Oh, and I also have a mono-brow that will appear if I don't keep shaving it :) .
I think that I would actually be fairly helpful in a zombie apocalypse. Not that I'm good at fighting or very strong or athletic. Just that I think I can keep my cool quite well. I would still probably be the one at the back of a fight, but I think (like to hope) I would be helping the injured get to safety rather than simply cowering in a corner.
So theres a bit of what were doing here. Don't feel freaked out by sharing, but also don't feel pressured into sharing too much.
WOW. It's awesome we got so much interest. I'll definitely go ahead with making this happen.
In the mean time i'll make the post so we can discus ideas in the OOC there. Like if anyone has any preference to how powerful the zombies are, or if they have a gimmick like becoming more active at night. ect.
You can also start posting characters, though it might be an idea to take some time with this. Don't release any information you don't want to.
I don't think I've seen this kind of thing done before... maybe it's just way too unorthodox. I'm not sure what kind of reaction this will get...
The key premise of this RP is that you would role-play as YOURSELF in a zombie Apocalypse.. yeah.
This DOES NOT mean you give away sensitive details like address, family, surname, only what you would tell a fellow survivor.
This DOES mean some honesty, most of us wouldn't be the person mowing down hoards with a katana. I know I wouldn't.
This WILL be dark. Anything ( except severe violent or sexual imagery past a certain point ) goes.
I'm not sure if anyone else is as fucked up as me, to enjoy thinking about what it would be like if they themselves were put into horrible life or death situations. Heck; I'm not even sure if this site allows these things. But I know that some of us like to toy with these ideas.
This is of no relation to anything cannon like the walking-dead or Day-Z, just ZOMBIE. The basic premise would be that as you were traveling to Chicago America ( random city I chose, I live in the UK ), be it for work, school or some other made up reason that might be feasible; An incredible viral outbreak appeared in New-York city. Slowly people, like dogs with rabies, began to lose their humanity. Their only target becoming to infect other humans. As outbreaks began occurring in other cites: all air-travel and most public transport was shutdown and you were left stranded, amongst the cities panic you found your way to a nearby basement pub with thick doors where you took refuge along other survivors ( Other RP-ers ). At this point, you would all introduce your selves to each other.
The story line will be ironed out if I get enough interest, of course I'd love to hear peoples ideas and input to it. As for the RP itself, it will mainly be player driven, though I may decide to add in a few random dice rolls here and there to keep the realism levels up.

Introduction
The bar room, dark but for a small, dirty electric lamp hanging loosely from the roof. The taste of dust and smoke fills the air. The room looks like something from some old crime film; Shaded red and brown, bathed in deep orange, with four barstools lined up, where poor and rich drunkards alike found a home. It doesn't feel that secure.
The others in the room. Many a face of torment, the events happened so fast. How could a virus spread so fast in two days. Everyone looks rather shaken, some more than others.
It doesn't look like there's anyone left to come in, someone shuts the leaning doors, the slight wind helps push them to land with a thump.
An awkward silence fills the room.
The only sounds left are the heavy breaths of worn out lungs, and distant sounds of conflict.
The silence lasts... a minuet... ten... twenty...
"So, um, do you guys. Have any idea what we should do." The scrawny, blond boy speaks with a tremble; breaking the silence. He is met with a hush murmur of voices.
Someone else speaks, they introduce themselves...
Characters
As you know. The character is you. I understand how this is a bit edgy on the internetz, to reveal details about yourself, but try your best to fill in what you want.
DON'T FEEL FORCED INTO FILLING OUT A SEGMENT YOU DOWN'T WANT TO, JUST LEAVE IT BLANK AND NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED.
Things probably needed.
- Name (Can just be first name, or better first name and initial of sir-name.)
- Age (Can be vague, eg. early 20s.)
- Appearance (No need to hide too much here unless you really want too, this includes clothing.)
- Physicality (How strong / fast / resistant to pain you are, honesty is key here if you want to really feel immersed)
- Personality (At least four lines please, none of this "talk to me to find out")
- Lifestyle (What country were you born, How was school for you, What jobs have you had and basically How have you lived life.)
- Why you're here? (What brought you to the united states of America, a job?, school trip?, visiting relatives? Make this bit up!)
- Skills (What can you do, cooking? good with computers? Combat experience? Another part that will need some honesty)
- Possessions (What did you have on you when you dived into the bar? Make this something you realistically carry with you. No rocket launchers.)

Can I change myself slightly? eg. Change my age to be older? -Nope! Not unless the change is extremely minor eg. hair dye.
How would you know if I did change somthing? -I wouldn't, but you will be less immersed, so please don't.
Can I role-play a character that would be with me like eg. boyfreind? -Nope! Just you here!
What about a pet? -Yeah you can have a pet with you, no polar bears or something stupid though.
I actually am a black belt in karate, but will you believe that? -I'll believe you, but like I say: don't lie lest you ruin the Immersion!
Can I search people on facebook? -Unless they let you, please don't. I personally think it's morally wrong without their permission.
How will family members be addressed? -At the start of the roleplay, you will have lost all contact with home. We will see about the family problem later.
Should I give the names of my real life friends and relations? -I won't stop you, but please ask them first!
Why did you limit the RP to 12 years or older -I don't think there are many people under that age on RP forums, but just in case I don't want children involved in any way!
