@Klomster You know, given Nova's A.I was a warship it was probably also linked to the MHCM. Though probably given protocols and programming that allowed it a bit more flexibility from the MHCM when in deep space voyages.

Hmm, I really like this premise. Reminds me allot of Tabula Rasa the MMO game.

When i read your sheet, i briefly considered having similar, or same type bots. But dismissed the idea since mine would be pre-war bots whereas yours could also be that, but from another faction, or post-war design.
Who knows?

The primary thing with MK IV is that this perfectly describes his knowledge and ability of running pre-war dreadnought fortifications.

Also, all praise the Ohmnissiah ;P

It would be interesting to see how the two react to the other. In fact I'm pretty sure in the past 1000 years they must have at least heard of each other or ran into one or the other a few times. In fact I could see my faction thinking MK IV is a holy symbol or being in one manner or another. Quite possible an entire coven might try and worship him/aid him in one manner or another. Change the holy oils as it were. Maybe they saved and repaired him at some point? I could see any of those things happening easily enough. By the way not all my bots are up quite yet. Still need to throw up my walkers too.

Also, FLESH IS WEAK!

IDK, maybe a Mercenary, Bounty Hunter or Gun-for-Hire sort of character who travels around. Think that would make some sense, but then there's always those types of characters in this types of worlds, lol.

Btw, for everyone as this has mostly or entirely been talked about in the chatroom alone.

Currently, there are plans to make Space hulks- massive space crafts that fell toward the planet and crashed before being buried under sand- as hidden couches of fuel cells, old pre-calamity tech, gear, working machines, computers, energy weapons, and information. Basically huge vaults of goodies waiting to be found. It might also mean that the planet was probably being evacuated thus many of these ships have a huge amount of supplies and have avoided being picked at by both the elements and Raiders due to being hidden beneath the sands. Thankfully for wastelanders, not all of these supply ships made it out of orbit. A huge sand storm now and again reveals one of these space hulks thus creating a large rush by many factions to these locations in the hopes of obtaining valuable and rare salvage.

So in short the idea of Hulk hunters (I.E in the similar vein of Vault Hunters from Badlands), explorers who find these hulks can report them to a faction. No doubt just the info alone could net them a high reward. Just an idea for single characters who can get quickly involved with the story. As I believe the first even of the wasteland will be a Space Hulk being uncovered by a sand storm at the start.
There, my CS is done.

I'm pleased with how it turned out. @Sigma

Heh, reading your sheet it seems my faction would love getting into contact with MK IV. Heck, they're probably the few people in the wasteland who can understand his A.I protocols and craft. It seems I am no longer the only one able to field bots.
|My sheet thus far, not done yet, I want to add Nova Prime in detail as well as work on the military. Still, it should be serviceable enough for government work.

Is anyone currently looking at a small area of the map northwest of the main fertile area, just south of the area that looks like ashlands, and north of that small mountain range? I'm not looking at making a faction, but rather a character with a lifestyle that would be extremely likely in that specific region, and if anyone is planning to use that area, I'd love to talk with them about culture and other factors that their faction would have on my character.

@Dymion You know what I might have it Nova Prime crashed there. That being the massive capital ship that houses my order.

@SigmaAwesome, I will get to work on my sheet. Oh before I forget, the ship had an A.I on board that managed to convince the first of the order who found it that it was the voice of a deity of sorts. Thus manipulating them into becoming it's caretakers more or less. In the grand scheme of things, it won't be too active in the RP as a whole, but it is probably the only thing 'alive' that would have been around before the Calamity. Though given its location in the ship and the fact it's data stores have been corrupted heavily, doubtful it would be very enlightening in what exactly happened.

Though if any of that is restored, via recovered files out in the wastes, during the RP might make for some interesting plot device, not to mention any knowledge seekers will probably be very, very interested in talking to it.... not that they would be given the honor.

It's significants to the story beyond helping form my faction will depend on you Sig. :J

Regardless I might have data cubes (Religious relics, DON'T TOUCH!) for it having scattered around the wastes so I have an excuse to have my order be brought into contact with other factions. Aside from the need to bible bash them as much as possible.

@Sigma My idea is in the works but here is what I have so far let me know if it sounds alright to you. I think my faction are the remnants of an old religious monastic order back in the when times. They at some point took shelter in a massive set of ruins that turns out to be the shell of a long time now dead starship/colony ship. There they found fragments of some old records and, after one event after the next, a cult was spawned from what knowledge was found. I think it will be a pacifist religious faction that seeks to spread 'The Way.'

It teaches that flesh is inherently weak and that one must shed it and embrace/join with technology to reach enlightenment and perfection. So, in short, I'm wondering if very crude and basic bionics are a thing in this setting. That and fabricator like device that allows them to build various things. However, they need the blueprints as well as lots of iron/steel to make anything. So they will likely wander the wastes for water as well as dwindling iron.

If you need more details I'll be on later and if that does not sound reasonable let me know. I'm rather taken with the idea of basing myself out of a ship rather than the average city. Feels very post-apocalyptic.

@Edit: and by ship I do mean a derelict one that is split in half and DOES NOT work anymore.
