Riya, Sarah, and Klaus' little talk between each other didn't last long before an interruption came along. It wasn't much at first, just a subtle distortion in their surroundings, as if they were water with a small wave passing through them. However, these 'waves' quickly grew in intensity and frequency for a minute before stopping, with no noticeable change to their surroundings. Then from the walls, what looked like butterflies began emerging. They obviously weren't natural butterflies, as other then their method of appearing as they were a bright, neon purple and glowed in the dark alley as they floated around. Eventually, they seemed to shatter in a shower of purple light just as a loud crash was heard from around the corner.

When they looked in the direction the noise had come from, they would find the source. A young girl, likely in her preteen years, who looked disheveled at best and outright trashed at worse, struggling to stay on her feet as she examined the scene before her. Her hair was a mess and looked like it was, in need of a good wash. In fact, everything about the girl, from her skin to her cloths, was covered in dirt, as if she had been stumbling through the country side for days on end by herself. Her cloths consisted of a plain white t-shirt, which other then being covered in dirt and being torn in several places, sported a giant bloodstain that started from her heart and down to where her shirt met the pair was ruined blue-jeans she was wearing. As she examined the group, her dark red eyes seemed to glow for a second before she took another step towards them.
"Bainchi... Smith." The girl mumbled before collapsing, her energy apparently spent. The sound of something metal hitting the pavement could be heard and with anyone in the group looked, they would find an amulet gripped tightly in the girl's right hand, the Kroshinkov family crest clearly displayed on the front of it.

"Light... Like Photo?" Amelia asked, not realizing that Rin probably didn't know who Photo was or that Photo was even a person to begin with.
A Quick Duel

@Scarifar

"Alrighty, let's get started!" Leander said excitedly, pulling out his deck. Going over to a desk and sitting down, Leander asked, "Do you wanna go first, or should I?"

"Either or is fine with me. Shall we toss a coin? Heads you go first, tails I go first?" Amelia suggested, taking a seat opposite of him.

"Yeah, that's fine with me," Leander agreed.

Amelia nodded, fishing out a coin flipping it. She managed to catch it and placed it on the back of her hand before revealing the result.
"Tails. I'll go first." She said.

---

Turn 1: Amelia
Amelia: 4000 LP, 5 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 5 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T

"Alright then." Amelia said, drawing her opening hand and glancing at it. It was decent, nothing really spectacular, but she could work with it for now. "I'll set one monster face-down and end my turn with that."

Turn 2: Leander
Amelia: 4000 LP, 4 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 6 cards, 0 Mon, 0 S/T

"My turn," Leander announced as he drew a card. "Ok, first I activate the Spell card: Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen. Next, by using its effect, I can Special Summon Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin," Leander said, placing down the two cards.

Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin: Level 7, ATK 2300

"I can also Normal Summon Freya, Spirit of Victory, and now all of my Fairy-type monsters gain 400 ATK and DEF," Leander explained.

Freya, Spirit of Victory: Level 1, ATK 100 -> 500
Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin: ATK 2300 -> 2700

"Battle Phase! Neo-Parshath attacks your face-down monster!"

Amelia flipped her monster face up.
"Gusto Gulldo. When it's destroyed, I can search my deck for a Level 2 or lower Gusto Monster and summon it to the field." Amelia said, picking up her deck and fanning out the cards. "I summon Gusto Egul in Defence monde."

Gusto Egul: Level 1 DEF: 400

"And because Neo-Parshath attacked a Defense-position monster, he deals piercing battle damage!" Leander said. "So you take.... uh..." Leander then began muttering out loud as he began calculating. "Minus 500... carry the 4... 2200 damage!"

Amelia: 4000 LP -> 1800 LP

"You're... not really good at math are you?" Amelia asked with a small laugh.

"Hey, I got it right at least!" Leander objected. "At least, I think I did. Anyway, Neo-Parshath also lets me draw a card when it deals battle damage." After drawing a card, Leander continued, "Now I'll place this card face-down and end my turn." Leander then began to correct himself, "No waitwaitwait, I-I still got a card to play! Field Spell: Sanctuary in the Sky! Ok, there we go. Turn End for real this time.

Turn 3: Amelia
Amelia: 1800 LP, 5 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 2 cards, 2 Mon, 1 S/T, 1 Field

Amelia couldn't help but let out an amused smile as he drew her next card. She looked over her cards, frowning before deciding on her course of action.
"I play Magical Mallet. I'll return my remaining hand to the deck in exchange for a new one." She said. She put her hand back on top of her deck before picking it up and shuffling before offering it to Leander to give him a chance to cut it.

Leander thought for a bit before making the cut at random, then handed Amelia's deck back to her.

"Thank you." Amelia said before drawing a new hand and examining it. She frowned for a second before sighing. "My turn is over. There's nothing I can do."

Turn 4: Leander
Amelia: 1800 LP, 4 cards, 1 Mon, 0 S/T
Leander: 4000 LP, 2 cards, 2 Mon, 1 S/T, 1 Field

Leander blinked in surprise, not expecting Amelia to give up so quickly. "Oh. Um, ok." Looking down on the field, Leander explained, "Because Sanctuary in the Sky is on the field, Neo-Parshath gains ATK and DEF equal to the difference between our Life Points.

Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin: ATK 2700 -> 4900

Drawing his next card, Leander then wasted no time saying, "Battle Phase. Neo-Parshath attacks Gusto Egul, and that should be game.

Amelia: 1800 LP -> 0 LP
Winner: Leander!

---

Leander had not been expecting such a quick win, and was silent for a moment before saying, "Wow, that was.... sorry about that. That went quicker than I thought."

Amelia shrugged.
"Gusto's have low stats, but a strong defence with their triangle of summons. But if my opponent gets a strong monster with piercing damage, there's little to nothing I can do unless I have Waboku or Draining Shield on the field." She said before smiling a bit. "But, it seemed like your deck worked well, though you need a stronger opponent then me to really test it."

"Yeah, you're probably right about that," Leander agreed. "Thanks for helping me with this, Amelia. What should we do now, though?"

"I don't know, but I probably shouldn't stay here long. Aren't there rules against a girl being in a guy's room or vice versa?" Amelia said.

"Are there? I dunno about that," Leander admitted. "Maybe there are, maybe there aren't. I don't really wanna find out by getting in trouble, though." Getting up from the table to walk over to the door, Leander asked, "Want me to walk you to, uh, wherever you wanna go?"

"I don't know where I would want to go though. The school is big but there really isn't much to do here other then to duel." Amelia said, thinking over the posibilities. "Is there anything you would like to do? Maybe go out and test your deck more? I wouldn't mind watching."

"Hmmm...." Leander pondered deeply. "We could probably go back to the card shop again. There could still be some people working on their decks too."

"It's a shame they stopped selling cards for the Extra Deck. Now I have to save up points to buy boxes to have the best odds of getting the monsters I need for that part of my deck." Amelia said, putting her deck away before standing up.

"Yeah, that's a bummer. I feel like some cards are missing in my collection, too, but everything seemed right when I checked it," Leander said. "Maybe it's just me. Oh well. Let's get going." Leander then exited the room, holding the door open for Amelia before closing it.

"Thank you sir. You are a proper gentleman." Amelia said as she walked through the door way.
@PlatinumSkink so, look at Palkia and Dialga, tell them to screw off, cause the space/time continuum sucks, and break it to pieces?
@PlatinumSkink So, once Amelia is done for the night, what's going to happen, cause we don't want her to be a day ahead of everyone else do we?

"No know." Amelia said, hugging the toy and looking up Rin with the biggest, most innocent eyes one could imagine a child could give. "What you do? What your... power?"

@Ammokkx

Joshua watched the action duels with varying degrees of interest, taking mental notes where he could. When he finally had enough, he got up and made to leave, only to suddenly be engaged in conversation by a rather short girl. Looking down at her, he listened calmly as she brought up his 'cheating' during the acrobatics competition and then herself, bragging about being the top. He couldn't help but laugh at the little display.
"First off, since the judges clearly didn't eliminate me come the competition for what I did, it was obviously legal and therefore not cheating." He said before whipping out Adrenaline Rusher and showing it to her. After she was sure she had seen it well enough, he put it away. "If nothing else, they're just jealous that they didn't think of it and won that card. Envy can be an excellent fuel for the fires of silent hate."

Continuing on, his tone was more amused then hostile.
"Secondly, you're obvious not the cream of the crop, not more then I am, since neither of us are in the light dorm. After all, that's the dorm all the elites are in. The fact your not wearing their uniform states where you truly stand in the Academy's hierarchy. Unless you're saying you're the top of the Earth Dorm. That might actually be slightly believable.

Third, who I gather with is none of your business and for what reasons is none of your business short-stack. Course, though the idea might be hard to believe to some people, it might be possible that I'm just hanging out with my, brace yourself, friends. Would that be so hard to believe that might actually be the case
?"

Amelia relaxed a bit when Leander returned a smile at her and stuck close to him as he led the way to his room. The only time she seemed nervous was after Leander bumped into a member of the Dark Dorm of otherwise, she enjoyed the short trip. When they arrived to his room, she looked around, instantly seeing the difference of being in the Earth Dorm to the Light Dorm. Still, as she looked around the room, she couldn't help but think of her room back home, a thought that made her want to leave ASAP. When Leander addressed her directly, she turned to him and, upon hearing that he wanted to duel, she nodded.
"I carry my deck on me everywhere." She said "It's almost a requirement here, isn't it? And I don't mind helping you out. It's what friends do, right?"
@Joshua Tamashii

@PlatinumSkink

Amelia tried. She really did, but she couldn't help but stop when they passed a group of Pumpkaboos. She knew Laurinda was tired and that she was simply being selfish at this point, but she just knew if she didn't do this now, it would bother her for quite a while. Tugging Launinda's sleeve gently to get the older woman's attention, she moved over to the Pumpkaboos and smiled once she had their attention.
"Hello there. How are you all doing tonight?" She asked, wondering how the individual's before her would react to her presence and want to talk to them.
