I finally get to show up and I can't even speak?
You're in water. You'd drown.
I don't-a care. That's what Green Shrooms and Blue Moons are for!
Drowning is bad, k?

Joking aside, I'm totally excited!

Although he should had known better than to chase willy nilly after a strange glowing treerat, the challenge was clear and could not go uncontested. Mr. L is the greatest jumper of Count Bleck's minions! Sure, O'Chunks can throw people the furthest and Mimi can turn an enemy's own tricks against them, but the burly man is an idiot and the tiny girl is all surface-showy stuff. The less said about Dimentio, the better. Miss Nastasia has much better things to do than any of those things and the Count himself? ... Well, now that L thinks about it the Count doesn't exactly have any legs so he can't jump but he doesn't need to.

One of the downsides to being the highest jumper is that physics... does not exactly agree with him. His speed is swift but that means he's a little too slick and slowing down must be timed just so so he doesn't do exactly what he did and take a tumble down a pit. This is all the rat's fault! If it wasn't such a brazen thing, Mr. L wouldnt've had to chase it! It is only with practice born from countless worlds, both the lost worlds of his past and the remembered of his much more recent history, that let him catch his breath and not lose himself to the waves.

After a bit of reorienting himself under the lake's surface, Mr. L swims up to the surface. The first thing he sees is... well, honestly? Water. It is absolutely drenching his hair and pouring down from his hat. The next thing is what looks like Dorrie coming his way! (wait, who?) But... no, that's definitely not a plesiosaur. In fact its not a creature. It looks like a boat. Well, far be it from Mr. L to cry out for help like some weak willed wimp. Instead he immediately starts swimming to it. Sure it seems to be under attack, but it's closer than dry land.

As soon as the boat and the thief start to close the gap, Mr. L realzies they're not alone in the water. At first glance it looks like another boat. The metallic sheen and similar shape does not help for some worlds tend to have themes, perhaps the theme here is animal-shaped ships? But to his surprise and annoyance it is a creature. And Mr. L is completely lacking in fire power... in Fire Flowers, that is. He could try unleashing that stupid Thunder-spark of his but that's just begging for trouble when he's absolutely drenched and in the same body of water as the skinny water-dragon. Mr. L picks up his speed, hoping to reach the weird boat before it can wreck the ship. Worst case scenario, the thief has a brief respite to catch his breath before fleeing the ship.
Looking for someone interested in roleplaying in or against one of the following settings.

I am capable of bouncing characters off of settings I know less about, but I am interested in setting if someone wants to do within the same setting.

Ideally this would be a small group (read: 7 others at most) so we could have more frequent posts.
There wouldn't be an exact posting turn system aside from no double-posting, just the expectation that you'd give the others a chance to respond. After a certain point (let's say a week) it'll be assumed that you've lost interest and the others will continue on after giving some impression of your character walking away.
This is because in some of the larger groups I've RPed in off the site, individuals have held up the plot only to suddenly dip for a different interaction. It isn't fair to the group as a whole to hold the roleplay hostage, and neither is it fair to keep chatting about amazing ideas in OOC only to toss them aside for something else because it is newer.

Super Mario

This is for Mario stuff in general, not a specific plot or setting. I tend to reference anything and everything in the franchise so it could be anything from a grudge match between Mario and Bowser to Mushroom Kingdom denizens chatting about the latest Kart Tournament's fundraising efforts to repair stuff ruined by the last Dark Land invasion. I have in the past taken part in a six year long daily 1x1 with this setting so I am fully capable of running things long term if it works out that way.
Pokemon

I have to specify that this would be Humans but in non-trainer professions. I'd love the chance to explore the setting outside of the focus of Gyms and battles. So for example Rangers or Archeologists. Predominantly Game-derived but there's bits and blobs floating in the back of my head from PokeSpecial and the Electric Pikachu Boogaloo manga, plus half-remembered stuff from the early seasons and some films.
Undertale

... yeah, I still have Undertale on the brain. I mostly RP as canonical characters (ex: Asgore, Sans, Papyrus, Flowey, Gerson) but some friends got me able to do Fell, Outer, Reaper, and Horror variations, as well as Undyne. I also have Deltarune's Spade King and Jevil, and an idea I had for what Deltarune Papyrus might be like based on how everything that shaped his bombastic personality in UT was different or gone. The RP idea for this setting would be predominantly slice-of-life with a comedic bent, whether before the events of Undertale or after.
Final Fantasy / Kingdom Hearts

As a warning I've yet to play KH3 because PS4 was stupidly overpriced for a while, so I'm still avoiding all spoilers on KH3 until I can get my hands on a system. I have however played almost every title in the series to completion and love it to bits (in spite of the constant headaches and sheer pulling-out-of-pants bull). That said I'd love to do something with Final Fantasy characters or have more of a focus on Squaresoft and Enix characters within the KH setting. Like for example facing Live A Live's Odio as a Heartless or Lifeform Hojo N as a Nobody.
Legend of Zelda

While my knowledge of the latest titles in the series is hazy, I have done very strong lore reference-heavy plots in the past with friends. A recent run was a Solarpunk Zelda set in the distant future with elements from Breath of the Wild and Skyward Sword, and before that was a plot where Ganondorf disguised himself as a priest to sow chaos and discord in Hyrule in a blended setting of Link to the Past and Twilight Princess. I have never done a specific canonical setting in the past but I have referenced them. I can do a specific title if desired but I would much rather explore a made-up one. Overarching details would be planned out but the exact journey would be left to the whims of IC.

So was there anything specific that jumped out at you, or...?
Joke's on you, I don't have one.

Even though Majora Dragon Cult Dragur might be plotting to sacrifice me or abuse my strange knowledge of his god for personal power, my reaction to someone walking into my room is simple:

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOME GET OUT"

... otherwise it'd be straight up "Satanic cults again, bab. Yeah I should probably stop fessing up to Dad claiming to be Satan but this is a completely different cult."
You'd think I'd have something more interesting or complicated considering my usual gaming habits but I blew up 3 hours playing Mamono Sweeper. All it is is just a rpg monster-themed minesweeper game yet here we are.
This should be ready now.

I see. In theory it would still be possibly to have the same effect of invisibility in a limited sense by turning 2D and then directly toward whoever he doesn't want to see him, but of course since this is 3D it would be trickier to manage. I was more or less confused because I was assuming we were going for translating the move itself into the new context rather than the outcome of the move, which is stealth. We may be able to compromise (and also not make up new abilities characters don't canonically have, which I'd rather not do) by saying that he can flatten into a 2D being in 3D space but be able to rotate himself to stay facing whatever target he focuses on, thus maintaining practical invisibility. The limitation would then transition from being shadow-projection to him being able to be seen from the side if there are multiple enemies. Plus, this would still allow him to do things like slip through tiny cracks and hug walls. Would that be alright?

So something akin to Kingdom Hearts's Heartless Shadow or Nobody Creeper effects, but along height rather than being "squished" to the floor? I'll have to work out how to write the description but it sounds good to me.

and also not make up new abilities characters don't canonically have, which I'd rather not do

I try to only pull things that a character could feasibly have at the point in their timeline. For example given the nickname Green Thunder, I tend to have Mr. L be still capable of the Thunderhand from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. However given Nastasia's brainwashing and the fact that the magical power was a gift I give it a psuedo-awareness that keeps him from having full control of the ability. If he gets it back over the course of the RP it would still nerfed even more, much to his frustration.
