"What is with the sudden mood swing? You were okay with this whole idea all this time! We have worked on it for months! And now suddenly you go and decide that everything should be different?"
Her friends voice was shrill with anger.
Taya turned around with an irritated look on her face.
"Why is this so important to you? I let you choose the decor, the colors, everything! Can't you at least let me choose the location?"
She frowned, frantically trying to come up with a good reason why it would be a bad idea to hold their play at a forest, that she just found out was infested with supernatural creatures... One that didn't make her sound like she escaped from the mental asylum.
Natalie looked at her like she just insulted her dead grandmother, and to be honest, Taya knew she wasnt making sense. Of course they had worked on everything together, Natalie had written the script, Taya had given life to the scenes, and together they had worked hours on completing the stage. And everything was designed with this forest in mind. There was no way she could convince Natalie to change locations.
"Natalie..."
She tried a last time to convince her best friend, but Natalie just gave her a dirty look and stormed away.
Taya sighed. There was no stopping it: The play would be there, at full moon, in a forest full of creatures of the night. It was an easy conclusion; people would die.
Absentmindedly she played with her necklace, considering for a moment... No, she couldn't. There were too many, besides she hadn't practiced in almost a year.
