May grabbed him and stabbed the ninja sword into one of the monsters eyes before removing it and jumping off landing safely on the ground. "I know what I'm doing... trust me. I have an idea."

"fine." Red Star said. The monster let out a wicked loud yell which acted as a catalyst sending out waves of madness. "Oh fuck... What is this?"

The madness hit May and her eyes opened wide. She clutched her head with the hand not holding Red Star, she could feel her body's madness being off-set, the balance she created was no more. May began to giggle and she slouched over slightly. Without Red Star's control his ninja sword form turned into a scythe that glowed red and had a black stem. Her eyes appeared to glow the same red color with big black pupils in the middle as she continued giggling like a madman.

The creature roared and charged at May.

"M-may... What's... What's going on?" Red Star asked. Obviously he was effected, but it wasn't something he was used to. And this form. What was it. Was it all the madness? Was it taking over this easily? Had they been here too long already?

May continued giggling as she moved sloppily towards the monster not scared or really thinking about much other than attacking. She jumped and swung at the monster when it was in attacking range and landed tilting her head to the side and giggling somemore, "oops did I do that?" May asked before once again giggling.

"Gah... May... The madness." Red Star didn't want ot give in. But it was actually kind of painful. He didn't know how long this could go on.

The monster shrieked, but continued to try and attack May. It wasn't afraid. it didn't scare easily.

(You can kill it if you want XD)

May finished off by cutting it's head off, the soul appearing where the monster once stood. May then dropped Red Star on the ground and wobbily walked over to the soul. "It's all weird and funny looking." May said still giggling uncontrollably. A clock on her wrist went off as it marked the 23h30min mark of them being in the radioactive zone. May continued giggling happily as she held the soul in her hands. The madness waves offset her balance in her body and until she was away from this area then she wouldn't get any better. "I wonder what they taste like, I bet they taste as funny as they look. Wait wasn't there something about meisters not eating Pre-Kishin souls.... Oh well!" May said with another giggle as she opened her mouth wide so she could try to eat it. Her body swaying slightly making it hard for it to actually be close to her mouth so it may be a bit before she could get it in her mouth.

Red Star gulped. "Fuck..." He mumbled as he reverted to his human form. "Gotta... May..." He moved as quickly as he could and grabbed her wrist. He took the soul from her. "That's not for you." He said feeling rather sick and weak. He shook his head and ate it before she could argue or anything. This wasn't her. He sighed and picked her up holding her tight so she couldn't struggle too much. He had to hurry. He had to. Without another word or thought he took off sprinting as fast as he could.

"Hey put me down!" May said giggling still. "WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! THIS IS FUNNN" May said giggling louder as she made her body almost completely straight making it that much harder to hold her as she stuck her hands in the air swaying side to side giggling.
(hehe it's fun to play an insane person hahahahaha)

Red Star did his best to keep his grip. They were almost out. Just a bit more. He kept moving. "May I need you to come back to your senses." He said sounding a bit week. Just a few more minutes. He only had one thing on his mind it was was getting them out of there. And soon they would be. Just a few more steps.

And just in time Red Star had gotten them out. He panted heavily as his grip on May loosened a bit. "I... I can't... go on..." Luckily they had already gotten out, but just barely. He dropped to his knees. "May... Don't... Move..." He said struggling to stay conscious. He was on his knees and she was standing. And he was hugging her. It just worked out this way.

May slowly returned to her sanity and looked down. "Oh god... Red Star I'm so sorry." May said using her strength to pick him up and carry him to the closest town. "Stay conscious Red.... I'm so sorry....." May said to him.

May continued carrying him until in cell tower range. She called her mom and felt tears streaming down her face.

"It happened... and it.. it affect Red Star... I don't know how......" May said as she broke down crying
We will be there in a few hours. Don't take him to the hospital only the DWMA can help him now. We will bring Tsubaki and Black Star with us.
The call then ended.

A few hours later her parents arrived with Red Star's parents. Her parents conforted the crying May along with her brother who had tagged along while Black Star and Tsubaki tended to Red Star. They boarded the Death Scythe Jet and got back to the DWMA in no time. Red Star was taken to the infirmary where he was nursed back to heal. May never left his bed side once.

Black Star the entire time was confident that Red Star would be fine. Tsubaki not so much. But Black Star managed to convince her to keep her distance. The two had their own lives to live. Red Star was slowly coming to. "Uhh..." He groaned as came back to reality.

"You're right." Red Star said calmly. "What did you not trust me? Did you think I'd quit being your partner?" He wasn't mad. Just a bit hurt. He sighed. "What exactly happened?" He then asked wanting her to tell him herself what was wrong. Even if he knew he wanted to see if she'd tell him or hide something.

"I guess you deserve to know the whole story." May said pulling her chair next to the bed and beginning, "It all began when I was younger...."

May was sitting with the other girls on the floor. They were all playing duck duck goose during their free time. Everything was peaceful until a loud bang erupted down the hallway. The 2nd grade class she was in all let out screams and the teacher heard them into a corner not visible from the door. Soon the door handle turned and a strange woman entered the room and went to where she could see the class. The woman was a witch, her skin was light gray, her eyes pink, and her hair blonde with two blue streaks. She wore a loose orange dress that was more like a sweater that hung to mid-thigh with black boots reaching her knee. On her head was a purple slime looking creature hat that had two paws hanging from it to the floor. The witch cackled as she looked at the class for someone specific. The witch's pink eyes locked onto May's crimson eyes. The witch walked over and grabbed May by the neck lifiting her up as a small ball of energy formed in the witches hand. "This is for what your parents did to my mother!" She screeched as the ball went into May's stomach like a bullet. May was then dropped to the ground unconscious and loosing a lot of blood. What she wasn't awake to experience was her parents killing the human-witch hybrid and taking her to the hospital. At the hospital Soul had to donate some of his blood in order to save May. As time went on the black blood from Soul's blood began to make her mad. The madness was strong in her body and it took 5 years to balance it where May had good enough control to allow her to fulfill her spot as a meister at the DWMA.

May finished and looked at Red Star. "The creature released waves of madness the other day and the balance in my body was upset, it caused me to go mad and the madness leaked into you turning you into a strange scythe form. I didn't know it would also affect you if that happened. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before but we thought I had control over myself but I guess we were wrong." May said, the we she was referring to was her family.

Red Star sighed and hopped out of the bed. "May. You've been through a lot. I understand that more than ever now." He paused for a moment. "But!" He punched her in the shoulder lightly. "From now on we're gonna need to work on this whole madness thing and your lack of faith in your weapon." He laughed a bit trying to lighten the mood with May. It must have been hard for her to tell him all of that.
