"I know. You're lucky to even have me." Hayley said turning to face him as she smirked wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in like she was going to kiss him. She then pulled to the side kissing his cheek and slipping out of his grasp and jumping onto the couch and laying down. "So what's this about a child movie?" She asked smirking

"Kid movies are fun." Nathaniel said calmly. "If they're good I mean." He then added. "It's just... We live in a world where we're pretty much expected to be adults. So... Escaping into childhood sometimes or just enjoying a moment of peace and not having to be an adult... It's just... Nice." He explained his reasoning.

Nathaniel narrowed his eyes. "Glad you're getting a kick out of it." He said as he sat at the end of the couch away from her. "I'd like to see you pick a movie." He then said with a sigh. He looked at the time. His parents were set to arrive later that evening. Around 9-ish. It wasn't too close to that though.

"Haha same. He's awesome, fast, looks awesome in yellow and is just an overall badass." Nate said calmly.
A few hours passed and the movie marathon finished. Nathaniel got a silent alarm from a little sensor he set up for when his parents came home. "Oh yeah. Time for the big surprised." He said as he stood up. "You comin?" He asked Hayley with a smile.

Nathaniel put his arm around Hayley and kissed her cheek. "Thanks. For coming with me I mean." He said with a sigh before picking her up and taking off out of the base and heading towards his home.

Soon they were at Nate's door. The light in the house was on. It was quiet. "Woah... It's never been so quiet." He said as he set Hayley down. He gulped. The situation and awkwardness of it all had just hit him. "Um... Hayley... You think... Maybe... We should just forget about it? What if they get over protective. What if they freak out? What if... What if..." He was shaking a bit freaking out at everything that could happen. Pretty much everything Hayley had worried about.

Hayley rolled her eyes and knocked on the door loudly. She then kissed Nate's cheek softly. "Don't worry I'm right here. They will just be happy to have a living son."

The one to open the door was Bart. "No way..." He said wide eyed upon seeing the two. "Get in here!" He said quickly pulling the two in by their collars. "Rose! Rose!" He shouted. "ROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSEROSE!" He repeated over and over until Rose's arms flew around the two teens. "Do you two know how stupid you both were?!" She was crying... But... Still scolding them. Odd in a way. "You both let yourselves be manipulated by the same man knowing how bad he is and didn't think about coming to us for help." She said squeezing the two tightly by the neck in the death grip of a hug. "Mom... Mom..." Nate struggled.

Hayley just stayed silent, her face void of emotion as she listened to Rose scolding them. She didn't know what to say so she said nothing and just waited to be released from the death grip.

Rose finally let the two go and Bart tended to and spoke with Nate making sure he was okay and that he was indeed his son. Meanwhile Rose placed her hands on Hayley's shoulders. "Are you alright?" She asked calmly.

"Why do you ask?" Hayley asked looking at Rose with a slightly confused look. She honestly was confused on why Rose was asking her if she was alright and not her son who just came back from the dead.

"Look Hayley. I care for my son. But he is a hero. No matter how much it hurt to lose him. I knew the risks the day I let him become Kid Flash. And having him back is a joy, but you. Allowing my father to manipulate another young girl just added more pain. I know the kind of things he does. I mean... He's the reason I am who I am. Including the missing eye." She said motioning to her eye patch. "Being that you're here I can only imagine there is a lot for both of you to tell. But right now. The two speedsters won't be able to relate to you like I could. They've never really strayed from the path of good. So that's why I'm asking you while Bart makes sure Nathaniel is okay." She finished her explanation.

"I was raised on the path of evil. I went back to it to try to do something good because my brother manipulated me. It wasn't your father really... It was mainly my brother. I thought I could trust him because of everything we had gone through together but I was wrong... I let him manipulate me and now I hate myself for it but Nate doesn't know that I still do. I tricked him into thinking that I didn't but I do. I'm forever stuck with blood on my hands and some sort of power that I stil don't have full control of.. But don't blame your father or my brother.... In the long run it was fully my own doing. I guess you could say that I technically never left the path of evil. I just strayed from it for a while then returned and now I know that I hate what my life has been up to now. " Hayley said keeping her face and voice void of most emotions as she spoke only loud enough for Rose to hear.

Rose sighed. "You're not the only one who was brought up on the wrong path." She said calmly. "Even if no other hero had gone through something similar. I have. Yes. You may have done wrong things. And you may even hate yourself now for letting it happen. But one day you'll come to accept it. And even kind of like it. Because even if the beginning of the story isn't so great. What matters is the end right? So try to make it a happy one. And if you don't think you can just remember he'll be with you to help." SHe said pointing out Nathaniel.
