T’charrl frowned a little, “I-I know, shame I’m not very wise”, he spoke calmly, staring down at his energy, “All my ‘wisdom’ came from other people, mostly dead people”. He probably shouldn’t be admitting that he was actually pretty stupid and a typical kid, despite his height. His kind were very long-lived and with that came wisdom, so he guessed it wasn’t unusual for someone his age to be pretty dumb. Pulling the energy back into himself before it did any damage, he lowered his arms quickly and letting out a sigh to relax himself again. He certainly did struggle with a few problems, even his energy came with the problem of being wildly unstable now after it was tainted but he didn’t want Ki to be a problem as well.

Staring down at Roshi, he lowered himself a little again and stared at him curiously. If he could get that all down then it would be all straight forward, but first he had to be able to use Ki and not his own energy. His own energy was pretty low and very limited; he didn’t want to use it especially when his body wasn’t stable and susceptible to changing because of it. Rubbing his claws together slowly, he gave a little nod to Roshi, “I’ll try…I’m just not very good at it”, he spoke, holding his hands out again in front of him as he tried to draw the Ki out instead, “Just…deep breaths? Okay…okay I’ll try again…” Holding his breath a moment, he slowly took in deep breaths as he searched for the energy, taking his time with it. He needed to learn how to separate his energy from Ki, he knew he could do it but still had trouble with it. Keeping calm, he stared at his hands thoughtfully before suddenly the orbs on his hands lit up as Ki flowed through his hands in a gentle glow.

Shu felt as if he shouldn’t be having this much trouble, but it had been over a year so of course he was going to be really rusty; however, after a while he was soon managing to do it if struggling a little to hold it. Smiling when Takeshi gave him the confirmation that he was actually managing, he continued to try and keep it in his hands, his fingers buzzing with energy as he tried to keep it in. It was still pretty difficult, but he thought he would manage if he could just keep it together and hope for the best when it came to controlling it. Keeping his eyes on it, he felt a little stuck to what he was supposed to do with it, “Great! Umm…what do I…” he spoke, staring down at his hands as he tried to pull it in again but was only able to get it to buzz considerably less. He had certainly tried to move it and it had moved, but it was still fairly strong and threatening to release itself still, “Umm…maybe get it all flowy and not so blasty? I wanna fly too! But not through my hands…”

"You're still a child, it's nothing to be ashamed of if you're not as wise as someone like me," Roshi said, chuckling to himself. "I've been around much longer than you have my boy, I've seen and done a lot, I've got experience to teach me things. You may not be wise but you're ready to learn, and I'm willing to pass on what I know." The comment about 'dead people' perplexed the hermit a little, he let it sink in for a few moments. Talking to dead people, hm? Did he mean in Otherworld, or... Elsewhere? There seemed to be a lot more to this energy of his than previously thought, interesting. Chuckling again Roshi looked up at T'charrl, peering at him over the rim of his sunglasses in amusement. "Well I hope you can settle for wisdom from a living person this time. I don't have any plans on being counted among those folk any time soon." He had several hundred years under his belt so far, and hopefully several hundred more to come. There was a certain joy in immortality, one that people often never considered. Everyone just wanted power with it, but there was so much more, so much opportunity with immortality to do greater things than personal gain. "Enough of that, let's focus on living, and more importantly, you! Let's see if we can't separate that Ki of yours."

To break apart two different energies, it was something Roshi had never done before. There had never been a need, any student of his, regardless of race, had always had the same basic energy to work with. This boy knew his own power though, and he knew Ki. If they put their heads together surely they could work this out. The trick to early Ki training was focus and patience, trying to force Ki to do as you wanted resulted in what was happening with Shu. To that end a breathing exercise was suggested, both to keep T'charrl calm and to help him focus solely on his Ki. It was difficult to tell precisely what was going on within the alien at first, his other energy obscured any sense that the hermit might be able to gather. Staring at the boy told him very little, at least until a flash of light caught his eyes. Roshi directed his complete focus to the nodes on T'charrl's hands, watching as the slowly pulsed. Upon further scrutiny he was surprised to find that the energy causing it was Ki, the exact thing they were searching for! Smiling widely the old man threw a fist in the air, laughing triumphantly, "Hah, there it is! Look at that, pure Ki! I knew you could do it boy!" Making a bit of a sight of himself Roshi quickly composed himself, flushing slightly as he rubbed at his head. "Heh... Yes, nicely done. Do you realize the different feeling of each energy? That's crucial in using your power properly."

This was great, Shu was really getting it now! It took a bit more time than it had with T'charrl, but that didn't matter, the little guy had finally figured it out. A wide grin was plastered on Takeshi's face while he watched Shu, ecstatic his brother was learning how to properly control energy. That was a huge step in the right direction for flight and fighting, the two biggest hurdles had been covered in just under half a day. Still unsteady, but with plenty of practice it would flow as smoothly as the calmest of rivers. "Want to learn how to make it flow more? Okay, we can do that. Flying will come soon, don't worry." Already he had practice in mind, pressing his hands flat together in a gesture that looked like praying. This would be a bit more tricky than just moving it back and forth, but it would be much in the same. "Okay Shu, ready? I want you to do what I'm doing. This time though you're going to move energy in both arms, the same way as before. Be sure to pay extra careful attention to how much you're using, okay?" If the little guy could release Ki evenly from two spots then flight would be a snap, and so would forming attacks. Balance was the key word in this lesson, you didn't want one side being stronger than the other. Just to demonstrate Takeshi pushed forth a bit of his own Ki, again doing it slow for Shu to follow. He brought it out as far as his palms, letting it brush up against his skin before pulling it back, making a circulating motion for a few moments before stopping. Smiling encouragingly he let his arms settle at his side, nodding for Shu to begin. "Whenever you feel ready, give that a go."

T’charrl really had no idea how much Roshi could teach him, but his methods certainly seem to do some good since he was finding it slowly easier to get a hold of the Ki and finally bring it out again. He was certainly managing a lot better this time, he was managing to get it to the surface again and he was able to get his hands glowing; whether this was the right kind of glowing, however, he had no idea. Feeling a little curious, he looked to Roshi to see if he approved to which he was very energised to do so. Feeling a little taken back by his attitude at first, he soon smiled happily and looked down to his hands again, “Really? I am glad…” he spoke, trying to hold onto it. It was a lot more difficult than he thought, his own Ki proving to be difficult to grasp and not lose. For energy that was supposed to be a lot simpler than his own, he sure did have a hard time keeping a hold of this one.

All while trying to keep calm and hold onto the energy, he slowly moved his hands away from one another while keeping a hold of the energy, feeling curious as to what would happen. When nothing significant happened, he let out a sigh to which the energy disappeared leaving T’charrl frowning a bit. Maybe soon he would be able to use it now that he knew how to find it, but he still had a lot of other things on his mind, “There’s a very slight difference…but it’s a little hard to tell right now. I need to get stronger so I can tell easily, but right now it’s like trying to pick up a tiny petal from the other with the very end of your claws”, he spoke, flexing his claws a little, “And then there’s these orbs and just what are they…? I never had them until recently, but they sure do glow when I’m moving my Ki around. They rarely glow when I use my own powers, but even then I think that’s because they’re weak, anyway…”

Shu hoped he was doing Takeshi proud with his antics, feeling as if he should really be trying hard with this so he could be in the same league as his brother. Maybe Yumi would be proud of him too, despite Ki being pretty destructive most of the time. Still trying to keep a hold of it, he looked up slowly to Takeshi again and smiled, worried that it might explode in his face again if he relaxed, “Uh huh…flying with my brother in the sky!” he spoke quickly, looking down at his hands, “But I don’t want to fly with my hands…” Looking back up at Takeshi when it was time to give a demonstration, he watched him carefully before slowly moving his hands close to each other, staring down at them curiously without placing them together quite yet. Hesitating a moment, he soon placed them together before squeaking, his energy connecting and creating feedback that made him shut his eyes. Shaking a little, he slowly opened them again, staring down before trying to move his Ki around, “Ohhh…this is weird…but where does it go? How do I make it go away again?”

Roshi couldn't offer a single smidgen of advice about the orbs, he just didn't know anything about them. No one to his knowledge had ever had those sorts of things in them, this was entirely new even to him. Why they glowed, what they were, or even how he'd gotten them, that was all a total mystery. Getting stronger might help the situation, T'charrl was onto something there. The stronger you got the more Ki you had, it was a natural progression. So it only made sense that with more energy it would become much easier to draw from one's reserves. "Stronger, eh...? We can do some training if you'd think that would help! Ki training is sort of a specialty of mine after all." Now they were finally getting into familiar territory, this he could do. Training to gain strength was simple enough, sparring and plain old exercises would increase the boy's power. It only took one good look at T'charrl to tell him that their sparing was going to be... Well he didn't want to do it. Good thing the two little Saiyans were here! "You'll have to train hard to grow your strength, but I'm sure you'll be fine! See if Takeshi and Shu will train with you, they can probably keep up much better than I can!" Now, if they were done here maybe he could get back to his exercises...

"You won't be flying with your hands, don't worry. Now just watch me for a second buddy, I'll show how how it's done." Flying's trickiest part was keeping the flow from your body even, otherwise you'd bee bouncing all over the place. Much more than two points were used, but jumping right into flight as a whole would probably end badly. So two points it was, and the hands were probably the simplest place to begin with. After channeling his own Ki for a few moments Takeshi let Shu give it a go, watching his brother carefully. So the little guy was getting this too, yet again it was definitely unstable. "Make it go away? Oh, that's easy! Just stop moving it around, your Ki will naturally just settle down on its own. Be careful not to do it too quickly though, if you're moving it and suddenly stop it's probably going to come out." Shu had already been blasted on his butt once today, no reason to do it again. Letting his brother get himself in check Takeshi looked to see how T'charrl was doing, curious about him and Roshi just talking. Hm... Were they done already? That was quick if they were, the guy had a knack for energy if he'd gotten it down so quickly.

T’charrl gave a little nod, smiling at Roshi. Even with the small lecture before about strength and wisdom, the need to get strong would come from the wisdom of this man. The man would be teaching him true strength and his body would follow, making him into a suitable leader as well as a worthy fighter with the variety of techniques he could choose to use to fight off against any forces that tried to threaten his world with their own strength. He didn’t know what would happen to him when his energy got stronger, but that didn’t matter to him so long as he could get the strength in the end to change back into his normal form. Feeling a little more confident, he nodded before looking off towards Takeshi and Shu, feeling a little worried about going up against them, “Maybe…or possibly even more than me”, he spoke calmly, letting out a sigh, “Do you know if I can keep up with them; they’re both a lot stronger than I am”.

Shu did have hope that he would be able to do all of this by himself, keeping it all down and hoping he was going to have an easy time with learning the basics again. He knew the basics from over a year ago, but he definitely needed a refresher when this was all he could do after so long. Trying to keep a hold of the energy, he frowned a little at the thought of being punished for doing this like he had been many times when he was in the laboratory. He knew why they punished him, but all that still hurt his self-esteem when it came to training his mind up again. Hoping Takeshi could tell him how to calm his Ki down again, he smiled nervously before making an attempt to move it around, frowning a little as he tried to draw it elsewhere. Pulling his arms out and around slowly, he tried to move it slowly so that it may just stop buzzing. Eventually, after a few moments he managed to get it all calm again, letting out a sigh in response, “Ooohhh…at least I won’t need to do that too much during a battle…”

"You've got a lot of power in you, T'charrl, and a lot of untapped potential. Right now maybe you're a bit behind, but you can catch up." Besides, only Takeshi really had control of his power, Shu was pretty dangerous due to his lack thereof. In a basic, martial arts styled fight, hand to hand and grappling, Roshi believed the alien could more than hold his own. Size aside he seemed pretty strong, and he certainly had the desire to become stronger. With the means to do so he was confident T'charrl would be a mighty strong warrior given enough time and effort. Roshi might give some tricks to fighting Saiyans if either boy had a tail that could be used against them, but if he remembered right Shu's tail didn't work the same way. Ah, so much for that then. At least it was only a lighthearted sparring match and not an actual fight, he wasn't too sure if he'd send T'charrl in if that were the case. "Are they stronger, or do you think they are?" the hermit mused, smiling cheekily as he raised an eyebrow. "I bet you've been trained to fight, and you've got the energy to match theirs almost. Have some confidence boy, you can do fine. Now, how about you go propose a spar with them. In the meantime..." Roshi paused, starting to shuffle back towards the house, scooping up his tea on the way, "I've got more exercising to do!"

For someone who hadn't done this in over a year Shu was certainly doing pretty well at it. Granted everything was a little bumpy, but with some refinement here and there the little guy would be every bit as fluent as his older brother in no time. Takeshi smiled cheerfully, feeling rather proud of himself right now. Who would have thought he'd be teaching anyone anything, especially something as tricky as Ki. "Nah. In fact, once you get it down it'll be natural to you, you can do it without even thinking of it." Same thing with flying, or blasting for that matter. Really when broken down every time you did that you went through the three steps, for each and every blast or burst of energy. If you practiced enough however it could all be done in the drop of a hat and you didn't even need to think about it. Proud of his little brother Takeshi slung an arm around Shu's shoulders, grinning as he poked his sibling in the chest. "We'll do that kind of stuff a bit more, but already you've got the idea down. I'd guess we only need another day until you've got it, then we can do the real fun stuff. Before we leave again I bet you'll be flying around and shooting like the rest of us!"

T’charrl was doubtful about that, seeing as how Saiyans were always said to be the best in the galaxy and creatures they should not try to befriend if one ever came to their planet; of course, he had managed to befriend a few, but that was beside the point. They were very strong and even he had felt their strength multiple times, but that didn’t mean he thought he could ever reach that potential. Giving a quick glance to Takeshi and Shu, he frowned a little and bent down more to Roshi’s level, “I have been trained to fight, but not in the same way they were trained”, he spoke calmly, giving his head a shake, “My kind of training was to combat those who would otherwise try and take over my home, nothing like fighting super-beings like those two. I can try and have confidence, but I’m sure you can understand it will take a very long time before I can become as good as they are currently”. Slowly standing up straight again, sure enough Roshi was sure he had fulfilled his duty and was going off and heading inside. T’charrl didn’t know whether he should go to the other two and train with them, they still appeared to be in the middle of training and it would be awfully unfair if he barged right in. Letting out a sigh he gave a little nod, shuffling his feet backwards, “O-Okay, I’ll…do something…”

Shu felt pretty strange inside, probably because he wasn’t used to moving his energy around like that. It was like swimming, only he wasn’t very good at it. Slowly patting his clothes down, he turned and gave a little smile at Takeshi, “I hope so! I don’t like being all awful at things like this”, he spoke calmly only to bounce a little on his feet, “I want to do all sorts of things and fly around and not land on my face and be able to fight!” He was certainly feeling proud of himself and did hope that Takeshi was too and not just pretending to be proud. Squeaking when he was suddenly snatched, he scratched his chest a little and smiled at Takeshi, “Okay! I can keep trying to! I really hope so, I don’t want to have to ask for rides all the time”, he spoke quickly, bouncing a little, “I don’t want to go crazy, I might turn evil and that would be baaad. I don’t want to be mean and nasty to my friends or you”.

"You aren't awful at them Shu, you just need to learn how to do it a bit better, that's all!" There was awful and then there was unlearned, Shu fell into the latter. If he were really awful then he'd not be succeeding in learning the two steps in just one afternoon. The little guy had a knack for this kind of thing, it was just hard because it had been so long since he'd done any of it. Yeah, definitely only a few days and he'd have it down, no doubt about that. Slinging an arm around his brother's shoulders and prodding him in the chest he grinned, "You, evil? I don't think you have a single evil bone in your body Shu. Heck, I'm pretty sure you couldn't be evil no matter what happened to you." Him being evil was like black being white, or light being dark, it was pretty much impossible. The two were just on totally opposite ends and there wasn't any overlapping. Besides, Takeshi mused, the little guy would probably be a pretty lousy bad guy anyways, what with his tendency to be so oblivious to things. Chuckling a bit he pulled his sibling closer, winking at him knowingly. "Even if you did turn bad all I'd have to do is tell you no fruit, and there, problem solved! Can't be evil without your fruit now can you?"

Hm... What to do now? It seemed like a lot to ask Shu to start blasting or flying today, they had only just barely covered the previous two steps. He really should be refining those before they made the leap at releasing energy, that was the most dangerous after all. Maybe a bit of training would be a good idea, that would pass time until they were ready to eat anyways. Just some easy sparring, they could have plenty of fun with that. Curious what T'charrl was up to Takeshi looked over expecting to see Roshi with their friend, frowning when he was all alone. So the old pervert had ditched him to head back inside huh? He could drag Roshi back out, but he had a better idea. "Hey, T'charrl! How about you come train with us?" he called, waving their friend over. Might as well include him, he needed the training too after all. Plus this way things were a bit more interesting, now it wasn't just him and Shu butting heads like they'd done so many times before. Throwing someone else in the mix ought to keep them on their toes. "What do you think Shu, we'll all train together? Just a practice fight, you know how it works. Do we wanna make one of our usual bets out of it?"

Shu gave Takeshi a little smile, shifting his foot a little on the floor. He knew he was pretty bad at all of this, especially when he was supposed to be the one with the most energy he was in fact the one who was struggling the most with it. T’charrl was new to it, he had an excuse, but Shu had known about it for a very long time so he should had been wiser than this and be able to tell whether he was being good or doing just terribly. He was just relearning everything in the end of it all, trying to catch up with all that he had managed to screw up with and hope that he would be able to do it right in the end. Staring up at Takeshi, he squeaked when he was suddenly grabbed and poked again, making him scratch his chest, “You never know! I could become evil and want everything to be mine! That would be a pretty bad thing, right?” he spoke, giving a quick nod, “I would be able to take over all the things because I’m evil! Make everything go squish, squish, squish! Taking my fruit would make me be evil some more until I get my fruit back! I’d bite you!”

T’charrl didn’t want to be rude and ended up hanging around where he was before, looking a little lost to what to do. He didn’t want to interrupt anything and going inside would make him look like he was lazy so he was definitely stuck. Frowning a little, he looked around slowly as if trying to search for something to do; however, after a moment or so it was Takeshi who ended up inviting him over, his eyes quickly darting towards him, “Uhh? O-Okay!” he called out, wandering over with little steps. He hoped he wasn’t being invited over simply because he was looking lost, feeling as if that would be the wrong way to go about it all in the end of it all. Letting out a sigh, he smiled when he made it over, tilting his head at Shu a moment before looking to Takeshi, “Are you sure I should fight with you guys? I probably hit like a leaf and what’s the point in that…?”

"Shu, the only thing you bite is food. And... Maybe someone if they're annoying you," Takeshi replied, shrugging his shoulders. "Seriously, you're the last person I would think would become evil. The sky would sooner turn polka dots then you'd be evil." The little guy might be worried about it, but he wasn't. There wasn't a single way that he could fathom wherein his younger sibling would become evil, it just wouldn't happen. Chuckling softly the older boy unhooked his brother, placing his hands in his pockets with a smirk. "Every time you think you're turning evil tell me and I'll buy you a smoothie, how's that? Oh! Speaking of which, I still owe you a ton of smoothies, don't I?" They had made that bet after all, and he'd lost. Now that they were finally back home it was high time he made good on it. He could go for a nice mango smoothie himself, and maybe a tropical blend one too. Hopefully that cart was still open, he didn't want to have to wander all over East City to find a place. "Tell you what, we'll do some training and then when we finish we'll go to town for smoothies. After we finish those we can come back here to train! Or go back home... Either or."

Nothing left to do at this point but to train. They had covered more than enough ground for one day, and even with only a week to practice there was no rush. Considering how quickly Shu and T'charrl got down the first two phases it was a bit much to think they'd need a whole six days to get down the last step, even if it was the hardest. Wanting to keep active Takeshi suggested to train, inviting T'charrl over to join them seeing as Roshi had ditched him. This ought to be fun, they had never fought all together before, not like this anyways. "Of course I'm sure! We're only sparring, it's not like it's a real fight or anything. And you're plenty strong anyways." A three person free-for-all might be a little hectic though, there was a lot to worry about. Takeshi had a plan, one that would most likely end up biting him in the butt. He didn't care though, it sounded pretty fun right now. "Instead of all of us fighting one another... What if you two fight me?" he suggested, smiling excitedly. "I've got Ki, and I won't blast you two but I can at least fly to avoid you, so that makes it fair. How about it, let's see how that works?"

Shu gave Takeshi a little smile, finding it funny playing around with him. He didn’t think he had it in him to become evil, he didn’t even know how to be evil; however, seeing Takeshi get all wound up made him smile, knowing it was definitely something to play around with, “Polka dots! It might happen! I don’t know how…or what they are…but maybe I wish with Dragonballs!” he spoke quickly, smiling away happily before he quickly turned to T’charrl as he came over to them. He was happy to see him with them, giving him a smile as Takeshi asked him if he wanted to train with them. T’charrl didn’t sound so sure of himself or looked the part when staring at him, but he hoped he would become confident enough to have a training session with them. Smiling away, he looked up at Takeshi once more, bouncing off his feet happily, “Ooh! Smoothie! Smoothie is my favourite!” he spoke, looking fairly happy, “Training and smoothies! Yum yum yum!”

Tilting his head a little, T’charrl felt pretty lost fairly quickly at the sound of that, curious to what they could be talking about or what a smoothie even was. He didn’t want to go into the town if that was Takeshi’s plan, feeling as if the people of this planet might be scared of him if they spotted him. He knew aliens reacted odd towards him and if it was true that there were some creatures here that looked like him then maybe it would scare them to see a large version of that creature. Frowning a little, he looked towards the house briefly before sighing, his eyes returning to Takeshi, “I, uhh…I wouldn’t say I’m in the same league as a Saiyan, though”, he spoke, feeling a little worried, “How would it even work?” Feeling confused, when Takeshi explained the plan he couldn’t help but feel a little lost, frowning a bit, “But I’ve not seen Shu fly and I can’t fire Ki off like you can yet; your Master Roshi only taught me how to bring it forth and put it back again, how would that be useful?”

There it was, Shu was seeming much happier now, smiling away at just about everything. Seriously, the idea of him being even was just silly, it wouldn't happen in a million years. The younger boy settled down about it, even making some jokes too. "Wish for a polka dot sky? That would be such a waste of a wish," Takeshi said, smirking as he held up a finger. "Now... A sky made of cotton candy, there's a wish! Or make it rain syrup, that would be yummy." He hadn't had syrup in ages, now he really wanted some. Maybe tomorrow morning they would go back into town and try finding a pancake house, there might even be one with an 'all you could eat' special. Had Shu even ever had pancakes before? If they could get banana pancakes then that would be all the incentive the young boy would need. Bringing up smoothies only served to excite Shu even further, now he was springing about giddily with a wide smile on his face. "All the smoothies you can drink! Glad to see you still remember those at least." Cheap and yummy, at least feeding the little guy was going to be a snap.

T'charrl would be joining them for training, hopefully. He didn't sound overly confident about fighting alongside the two Saiyans, he was definitely skeptical of how he stacked up. Well, he had managed to beat that General jerk back on Kaesstra, and according to the twins and Kabocha they had some trouble with him. If T'charrl was that strong then he could definitely spar, especially if he had a partner. A two on one in any other case would really stink, but right now Takeshi thought it would be quite a bit of fun. "No one will fire Ki anyways, not until you two get a better hold on it. And I'll only fly to avoid you, but I won't stay in the air forever, that wouldn't be fair. Just think of it as a little martial arts training." It was going to be mighty interesting, seeing how this panned out. Shu was probably still quicker than him and the jury was out on whether Takeshi or T'charrl were stronger physically. Until they got brawling he supposed he wouldn't know, and he'd have to find out by getting hit. Nonetheless the older boy was still pretty excited, it was going to be a challenge to see how well he could hold out too. "If you get your body stronger it also makes your Ki stronger. They kind of grow together, so you'll want to train like this too. And with Shu fighting with you it's not like you'd be at any disadvantage. What do you say, want to do it?"

Shu was very bouncy upon hearing that, bouncing quickly around Takeshi. He was still full of energy and willing to keep going all completely hyped up, looking up at Takeshi as if expecting something out of him, “Cotton candy?? Rain syrup?? What are those things…?” he asked curiously, moving closer to Takeshi, “They sound yummy! Why do I miss all the good things…? But I do love fruit, though”. He was very confused; he didn’t know whether to be upset over having such a tiny experience with civilised food or happy that it existed with such strange names that he had never heard of before, giving him something to look forward to when he would eventually try it. The world was such a confusing place, even when he had seen many other worlds. Feeling fair excited, he rubbed his hands together at the thought of trying all of these things again, staring up at Takeshi, “All of the smoothies? Yesssss…I really want, yes please! Friend T’charrl should have some too!”

T’charrl frowned a little at the thought of getting whatever smoothies were, not so much what they might be but rather getting them. Maybe Takeshi and Shu could bring some to him rather than him having to go out in the daylight and scaring everyone or attracting too many eyes for his own good. Giving his chest a quick scratch, he watched Shu curiously before looking to Takeshi again, frowning a little, “I can fly naturally, so only Shu would be at a disadvantage”, he spoke, feeling a little concerned, “I’m not throwing Shu into the air after you”. This was definitely going to be a little confusing considering his height and ability to fly, so if he was going to be hitting in any direction it would be straight down all the time, certainly making him feel awkward just from thinking it. Smiling nervously, he looked to Shu before slowly shuffling towards him, “So…just by beating you up? I’m not at my best with hand-to-hand combat, I’m better with weapons…but I guess I could try”.

Ah, that's right! Shu was pretty clueless about a lot of foods, which meant they had a ton of eating to do. Looks like they were going to be making loads of trips back to East City. Hehe, most if not all of their leftover winnings were probably all just going to go to food at this point, which was perfectly fine with him. It had been ages since they had any really good Earth food, Takeshi was all ready to get a nice stacked plate of goodies when they were done here. "T'charrl can definitely come try them too! You've got to, they're very good," the older boy said, smiling at their friend excitedly. "You can try all the fruits we have here. Bananas, strawberries, mango, peaches... Uh..." What else went into smoothies? Cherries probably, maybe some vanilla ice cream. Sheesh, all this talk of food was making him awfully hungry, if they kept talking about this then he was going to forgo training just to get a bite to eat. Right, time to forget about food for now, they had training to do!

"I'm only going to fly to avoid you, and I won't do it a lot. So no one's going to be at a disadvantage," Takeshi pointed out. Smiling excitedly he began to stretch, crossing one arm over his chest and pulling at it, switching to the other side as well. Squatting down he jumped up, getting a bit of air before lightly bouncing on his feet, rolling his shoulders. "If you're not that good at hand-to-hand then all the more reason to spar, right? You can't get better if you don't do it after all!" This ought to be fun, fighting in a two on one. So long as he could keep away from Shu and not get hit by T'charrl this little match of theirs should last pretty long. Seeing as they had the numbers advantage Takeshi figured he'd try using his head for a change, let them come to him and wait for openings. Spacing his legs apart the Saiyan held up his fists, smiling as he motioned for the others to come at him. "Come on guys, let's do it! The sooner we finish here the sooner we can get those smoothies!"

Shu felt pretty happy, hoping they would be able to eat loads all while training, something he found very hard to do when food seemed difficult to come across. He wanted to have fruit so badly and having fruit meant he fought a lot better. He just generally performed much better after having fruit, he even felt a lot better after it both mentally and physically. Bouncing a little, he rubbed his stomach in delight, “Ooh! Bananas! Peaches! Mango! Strawberries? I wanna try strawberries! Maybe I’ve had strawberries before, I don’t remember the name”, he spoke quickly, just thinking it all through in his head. He would be happy to show T’charrl what kind of fruit he had on Earth, especially when his kind was such big fruit eaters too. While he was aware that T’charrl had been eating a lot more meat lately, the food he had back on his planet told him they enjoyed fruit a lot more. Looking to T’charrl, he bounced around happily, “We train and then we eat! You’ll like the fruit here, I promise!”

T’charrl gave a nervous smile, not too fond of the idea all that much, “Uhhh, I-I don’t know. Your people will be scared of me if they see me”, he spoke quickly, giving his head a shake, “I would love some fruit, but I don’t want your people to fear me”. He did feel bad considering he was supposed to be brave and adventurous but was afraid of making people scared and causing trouble without meaning to. Looking down at his hands momentarily, he flexed all of them before giving a nervous smile, “You think you can handle two pairs of fists flying at you along with Shu’s? Our arms aren’t just for show”, he spoke, giving them a quick flex before looking at his arms, sighing, “…I really am pretty skinny, though…huh…” He really should try and get some muscle; just now he looked like a scruffy colourful ball of fluff. This form was definitely pretty silly looking, but hopefully that improved later as he got stronger. Rubbing his arms quickly, he smiled a little and went into a fighting position, “I’m ready…I think. Please don’t hit me too hard if I screw up…”

"We'll eat our fill as soon as we're done training Shu, not a minute sooner! After all we've got to work up an appetite, right?" Sure they were hungry now, but a nice easy fight would make them even hungrier, then they could eat even more. That was a fool proof plan if Takeshi had ever heard one, and the promise of food was all the more reason to get started. After giving himself a good stretching the Saiyan got ready to begin, instead perking up and looking over at T'charrl. "Eh... Scared of you? I doubt it, there's been plenty of different things in the city, and it was all from Earth. Heck, there were some weird looking guys in the tournament! I remember one purple guy who had something weird for hair, like tentacles or something. And he made this weird squishing noise when you punched him..." Heh, yeah, there were definitely some strange people native to Earth, no doubt about it. Takeshi was certain their friend would get on just fine, sans the few people who were going to act weird around him regardless. Humans were annoying like that, they got all funny around things they didn't know. Given some time though they'd be totally fine with T'charrl, no doubt. Seeing the Kaesstrian assume a stance Takeshi got back into his own, grinning as he gestured for the two to come at him. "I'll be gentle, don't worry. Now come on, let's do this!"

Two on one training... Not an idea Takeshi was ready to replicate any time soon. Shu was faster, and as it turns out T'charrl could hit pretty stinking hard, even with his skinny arms. Most of their 'fight' had involved him dodging and running away, which he was at least pleased to say he could evade pretty well. The soreness on his chest and legs were indications that he'd taken as many blows as he'd avoided though, there would probably be some little bruises later on. Right now he wasn't exactly upset over that, in fact he had a rather wide grin on his face. After some coercion to get T'charrl to join them the trio went to East City to get a meal of smoothies and other goodies. The Kaesstrian was wearing a bed sheet like a cloak, it was the best they could do to conceal him, and so far it was working. Sure, people looked because the kid was pretty large, but there was no mass hysteria. They even managed to find the very same smoothie cart they had visited before, the old man tending it even recognized Takeshi and Shu too! Maybe it was the suitcase full of cash they had on hand, but the man was more than happy to make them any combination of smoothies that they wanted. Being a touch too lazy to count it properly Takeshi just handed over a handful of bound bills, carefully balancing a stack of cups on his free arm. They probably had two dozen smoothies between the three of them, every flavor combination available.Yeah, this would hold them over just nicely for now.

"Oh wow... I don't even remember him having that many fruits...!" Takeshi remarked, smiling brightly as he sat himself down on a nearby bench. One by one he carefully placed out the cups, leaving them for Shu and T'charrl to take as they pleased. Mango-cherry-banana, peach-banana-pineapple, all sorts of combinations. Hopefully they tasted good, some were a bit iffy though he was sure they'd be eaten regardless. For himself Takeshi had gotten a banana-cherry smoothie with added chocolate, not unlike a sundae. Taking the plastic lid off he tossed it into a nearby bin, simply drinking back the cool contents. Sighing happily as it slid into his tummy he wiped his mouth on the back of his hand, leaning back in his seat a bit and looking at T'charrl eagerly. "Well go on, try one! There's all sorts of fruits in these, hopefully we got one that you'll like."

T’charrl definitely tried pretty hard to keep up with Shu and Takeshi as he trained with them, worried that he was hurting Takeshi a little more than he should had. There was a problem with knowing how strong he was and whether Takeshi was just pretending to take a hit and be totally fine with it. Takeshi did seem a little hurt by his attacks and T’charrl could feel his energy fluctuating pretty badly at times and did want to heal his pain, but of course that would mean having to take energy just to use his healing powers. Maybe sometime he’ll be able to use his own energy only instead of taking from somebody else. Shu was a little too low on energy to take from him and Roshi was just not wanting to have anything to do with it, but hopefully Takeshi would feel better once they got food and was able to loosen up a bit more.

T’charrl was still pretty nervous about going near the aliens on this planet, worried that they might notice him and attack him if they really felt any sort of fear towards him. He really didn’t want to go at first; he didn’t understand why they wanted him to go when it could make their day just a little bit worse with the hassle. After some convincing words and a method to hide his unusual body shape, he was soon off with them to a city full of native aliens. This was definitely a bit of a worry with going to the city; there was so many of them everywhere and the city was so different to what he was used to so sticking with Takeshi and Shu was an absolute must. He was a lot taller than them all and got a lot of stares, but luckily there was no attacking him. Keeping to himself, he took in the sights of the city more than anything, finding great interest in it and their way of life.

Shu was pretty happy that T’charrl decided to come out with them, hoping he would enjoy the food they had on their planet. It would have been a shame if he was left by himself while they were all out and about having a great time exploring. Waiting with T’charrl as Takeshi went off to get some food, he bounced happily on his seat when Takeshi came back with a bunch of smoothies for them, all of them smelling delicious, “Yum yum yum! Food please!” he squeaked, reaching out for one of the smoothies, snatching one and opening it up, “That man is so kind, so nice and good”. Pulling off the lid, he drank up his smoothie happily, finding it always delicious with a taste that he missed dearly.

T’charrl felt a little nervous, feeling unsure to whether he should remove his hands from the sheet to take hold of one of these strange yet sweet smelling containers. He wasn’t sure who would see him or who thought he looked really strange under a sheet. Keeping his head low, he looked to Takeshi before down at the smoothies, noticing how Shu was indulging himself in one. Letting out a sigh, he slowly reached out for a container, taking hold of it curiously and giving it a sniff, “…T-Thank you, I’m sorry for being a walking attraction”. Taking hold of the container, he copied Takeshi and took off the top, giving a quick look around before using his tongue as a straw. It tasted delicious, definitely something up his street in tastes and texture, “…Wow…it’s really similar to the fruit back home…”

Takeshi carefully balanced the smoothies as he moved back to where Shu was seated, readily splaying them out across the table for view. With an excited chuckle he took a seat at the table then, grabbing his own and ridding himself of the lid. "He is a nice guy I guess," he agreed, nodding as he slurped at his smoothie, "Though I'm willing to bet the money had a bit of a hand in that." The guy probably was genuinely nice, he knew he shouldn't be so cynical. People were awfully motivated by money though, he'd grown up around loads of folk who did literally anything for a quick buck. Heck, his master had been that way too, so there was certainly a little bias. Ah, but that was neither here nor there, and they were supposed to be having a good time. Smiling brightly as Shu began eating Takeshi glanced over at T'charrl, hopeful their friend would find them tasty as well. "Don't apologize T'charrl, it's not your fault. People are just stupid like that," he said dismissively, taking another gulp of his own food. "They'll stare at anything that's unusual to them. Uh... But don't think you're unusual to us! You're our friend and all, we don't mind you. And give these people some time and they won't mind you either!"

"It's good isn't it? Try all of them you want, we've got to eat them all." Hm, he didn't think he'd want more than one, but Takeshi was really feeling hungry. After drinking down the last of his first smoothie he eagerly grabbed another, this one being some random mix, he couldn't remember what. Giving it a curious sniff he licked his lips happily, starting to drink it down as well. Around them quite a few people had begun to watch the trio eating their smoothies, astonished at the rate they were devouring them. Heh, guess they had never seen a Saiyan eat before, Takeshi mused. It had been so long since they'd had these things he almost wanted to go get more, for the road if nothing else. They had very nearly cleaned the guy's stall out, though he figured with all the cash he was given he didn't really mind. Gulping down a mouthful of his beverage the Saiyan peered over the rim of his glass, blinking as he spotted a pair of familiar faces in the crowd. Taking a second to register he quickly lowered his cup, blinking in surprise. "Eh...? Yumi? Viral? When did you two get here?"

What was with this crowd? Sure, the smoothie stall was popular, it usually had quite a few people hanging around, but never this many. Since they weren't in the city for any particular reason Yumi opted to check it out, near dragging Viral along after her by his arm. She didn't even have to push through the lines of people to hear three familiar voices chomping away at food, and sure enough when she and the Beastman broke to the front she saw Shu, T'charrl and Takeshi making a scene of themselves. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight too of all the drinks on the table, astonished briefly that they had gotten so many before remembering their appetite. Smiling amused when she was spotted Yumi laughed lightly, putting her hands on her hips and cocking an eyebrow. "You boys are going to get a brain freeze eating those so fast, you know. Slow down will you?" Hm... Seeing as she had come here for a smoothie anyways she might as well help herself to one. Reaching down she snatched one up, giving it a taste before sipping at it cheerfully.

"We don't get brain freeze, so no, we won't slow down," Takeshi retorted, smiling as he went back to drinking. Instantly he had his foot in his mouth, wincing as his forehead and left temple felt like they were on fire. Gasping he slammed down his cup, rubbing at his forehead and closing his eyes. "Ah... You jinxed it! Damn it Yumi!" Okay, maybe he could stand to slow down a tiny bit, he'd had more than both Shu and T'charrl already after all. Opening up his eyes again he saw their friend sipping at one of their smoothies, pouting and pointing a finger at her accusingly. "Hey, that's ours! We bought those!"

"Yeah? Well you've got more than enough, so relax. I'm only having one." It was pretty yummy, whatever was in it. Sticking her tongue out playfully at the sulking boy Yumi glanced at Viral, smiling and offering the drink over to him. "Want some? There's plenty to go around."

T’charrl was certainly enjoying the fruity drink, finding it to be pretty unusual compared to what his kind usually had. They didn’t appear to have nectar or anything like it here, but he would enjoy this nonetheless so long as it was going to make him feel good. Drinking it up pretty quickly, he paid no real attention to the child until it started to make the end of his tongue sting a little, withdrawing it from the drink and peering down into the cup, “…Certainly something for a very hot day”, he spoke, giving the end of his tongue a light squeeze before proceeding to drink some more. He would definitely have to get the recipe for making this and serve some to his mother, hoping she would appreciate that. He still needed to find something from this world to take home with him, his mind still set on creating a large collection to take back and show his parents, after they were all washed, of course.

Shu was fair enjoying himself and drinking as much as he could all while savouring the flavour, so taking big gulps was definitely a thing with him. He was enjoying himself and managed to grab another kind of smoothie to try out, feeling happy to finally get a taste of good flavours he’d enjoy fully. Letting out a sigh, he pulled back a little and scratched his stomach, feeling pretty satisfied with room for more, “Yum…all of them? Yeah!” he cheered happily, pulling his own forward before looking to Takeshi as he spotted something, his eyes looking in the direction Takeshi was looking to. How odd; it seemed Yumi as well as Viral was in the town, his first thought being confusion upon seeing them together. He thought Viral hated people for one and then there was Yumi dragging him around, unable to tell whether he was enjoying himself or not. Feeling confused, he gave Yumi a quick gave before going straight back to his drink, enjoying it too much.

Viral probably wouldn’t had gone out in public if it wasn’t for a number of factors, it just happened to be that Yumi was ready to exploit them and see how much she could get out of the Beastman before he realised what was going on. There was no way he was going to know what was happening just now, his mind hardly able to comprehend much if anything at all at this point. It wasn’t obvious what was wrong with him, his expression remained fairly neutral and he was not looking too affected by the world around him; however, he still had something going on in his head that wasn’t quite right. Looking over in the direction he was being dragged along to, he stared at the group without so much as a query to what they were doing here and why T’charrl had what looked like a bedsheet draped over him.

Staring down at the table, there wasn’t so much as a thought going through his head as Yumi taunted Takeshi who was now suffering, his own arrogance playing a part in that. There really didn’t seem to be too much going on that he could comprehend, his mind finding it fairly difficult to focus on anything right now that wasn’t a straight up order from Yumi. Simply standing and staring, his eyes were soon drawn down to the drink held out to him, reaching out and taking it calmly before simply sipping at it. Normally he wouldn’t had thought about eating or drinking, but now he seemed to be steadily doing something about his problem if looking a little pale and mindless at the same time as be obeyed Yumi’s suggestion.

It was nice, being able to enjoy themselves like this. Some good old fashioned rest and relaxation had been long overdue for them at this point, well over a year in the making. They were going to live it up as much as they could in this one week, and if that meant spending a small fortune on fruit smoothies then so be it. While sipping away merrily at their drinks Takeshi spotted Yumi and Viral in the gathering crowd, a bit surprised to see them there. He didn't think the Beastman would be caught dead out in public, let alone in a crowd like this. Weird, he seemed to be pretty indifferent to being around all of these people. This was certainly a bit puzzling, especially when Viral of all people started to drink from a smoothie without so much as a word against it. Now that was very different, since when did he like smoothies? Setting down his own cup Takeshi folded his arms on the table, cocking his head to the side and giving the pair a curious look. "So what are you two doing here...? And... Why are you drinking a smoothie, Viral? I didn't think you liked fruit."

"We're just going for a walk, that's all. And I wanted a smoothie, so we came here, is that a crime?" By the looks of it though it would be a miracle if they could get one now, the vendor was probably near sold out. Seeing as Viral had inadvertently commandeered her drink Yumi snatched up another, giving it a careful sniffing before sipping at it. "And I don't know why he's having one either... But he's been eating lately, so I just kind of give him things to eat..." Shrugging her shoulders she glanced at the Beastman, her lips pulling up in a slight smile. He was getting plenty of nutrition just today alone, hopefully he'd be feeling better then as a result. Vegeta had said something about regulating Viral's diet while they were out and all, Yumi liked to think she was doing a pretty good job of that so far. If only he'd talk a bit more, then she'd have a better idea of how he was feeling. The sound of wood scraping against the ground made her glance back at the table, and her eyes widened when she saw Takeshi standing in front of Viral, giving him a look over. Nearly spitting out her smoothie Yumi coughed into her hand, "Ack, what are you doing? Leave him alone Takeshi."

Why did Viral look so completely mindless? Nah, maybe mindless wasn't the right word. Mellow, that was it. He just didn't seem to care about anything really, it was strange for him. Eating was definitely a good sign, but why was he so relaxed in a crowd, and so willing to do as he was told? Waving a hand in the Beastman's face Takeshi chuckled as Yumi pulled him away from his collar, shrugging her off with an innocent smile. "Relax! I just want to see if he's really calm or just faking it!" It was kind of eerie in a way seeing the guy so laid back, he had never been like this as long as they had known him. Stepping back over to Viral the Saiyan narrowed his eyes, trying to see what the deal was. Maybe Vegeta's friend had done some hypnosis mumbo-jumbo to make him like this, or maybe they broke his brain. Smiling curiously Takeshi carefully poked Viral's nose, grinning as he did so. "So how's the smoothie Viral? I didn't know you liked fruity drinks."
