Personality: Maria is all but soft spoken, she goes with her gut and often makes mistakes for it. She sees mistakes as progress and enjoys the feeling she gets from things going right for her. She enjoys the company of others and is very heroic, if not stubborn and overconfident. She enjoys music and all things beautiful. She sees her Dragon as an older brother, someone she can look up to for help any time she needs it. She's also a bit of a hopeless romantic.
Bio: There's not much to say about an orphaned human. She grew up with simple foster parents, waving them off with tear filled eyes as she made her way to the Dragon Academy. Of course, her first mission was to find a Dragon Companion. She spent weeks in a forest nearby the Academy, combing through the trees in search of something, anything. That was when she found Elián, who nearly killed her on their first encounter. He wasn't exactly always the kindest Dragon, or at least that's what everyone thought and told her. She'd heard rumors of this yellow dragon, the one who could not be tamed. Willing to try whatever she could, she began to sing to the dragon. Of course, it threw him off guard. Most tried to tame him through violent means, but that was not the case with Maria. She tried to calm him, wanting to know if he was okay. Now, the two are inseparable and the Academy has sent her on a quest with a few other riders.
Other: "There's nothing music cannot heal or convey. With the right amount of love and compassion, anything can be saved."

Dragon's Name: Elián
Personality: Soft and wise, Elián is very protective of Maria. His entire purpose is to stand behind her, her entire support. He has a bit of a short temper and doesn't take well to stupidity, from dragons or their riders. He, like Maria, has a love for music and.. well... Shiny things. It's not his fault, they call to him! Most would consider him brutish, but Maria often sees the fluffy cuddle bear behind his facade. She just hopes that others will see past his temper to see his immense kindness for all creatures.
Appearance:
Breath Type: Red-Hot Sand/Dust (Heated sand/dust is sprayed from Elián's mouth. It can burn as well as rip flesh.)

A few things about me:
--I'm a college Freshman, so my time on RPG is limited.
--I'm also in a Table-Top RP group, so that makes my time even more limited. (On Sundays.)
--I'm a derp. I make lots of mistakes. So, I apologize in advance.
--My other RPs have slowed down, so I'm picking up another one, and seeing as this one doesn't seem to be too fast paced, I think I can handle it. I will say, however, that I have one RP that comes before all others. It's the RP I started RPing here on and I consider it one of my top priorities. So, I will consider it before this one. I'm sorry, but yeah. I'll still try my best to post for this one, however. I'll let you know if I decide to drop for any reason, as I hate it when people just drop from RPs without saying anything. If I'm going to be busy, I'll try to let you guys know.

Name: Anim Igrik
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Race: Eagle type Taalunian.
A Taalunian is a race of beings born with animal characteristics and enhanced senses attributing to the characteristics of the animal they portay. It is believed that eons ago natives to the continent prayed to their gods for gifts that would aid them in protecting their lands. Under the power of the moon, ten individuals were granted the power of their totem. Mountain Lion, Bear, Eagle, Wolverine, Salamander, Salmon, Boar, Antelope, Yak, and Floral were the ten gifted powers and modifications to the body of their ancestors. These were the first Taalunians that drove back industrial powers, leaving the natives to live in peace. Eventually, the interbreeding overtook the rest of the natives as the generations passed until all known tribes became of the Taalunian race. They decided to separate when racism between the tribes and types of Taalunian caused bloodshed. The Mountain Lions took to their cat's respective home among the rock, Bears and Wolverine types to the forests. Salmon and Salamander stayed to the river while Boar, Antelope and Yak types took to the plains. Floral and Eagle types coexist in the woods and are the easiest to find, while the Eagle types will stay in their sparse treetops the nomadic Floral types bring life back to the deadest areas that have suffered from war and natural disaster alike.

Appearance:

Personality: Anim is very cold nowadays unless you truly do something to warm his heart. He hates and blames others for what has happened to him, and suffers from depression. His will to live is on very thin ice, and his sanity is only just so-so. Anim has taken on assassin jobs before, killing in cold blood without remorse. It's just something to pay the bills at this point, as sad as it may seem. He has a deep desire for inner peace yet his mind is still stuck on the day he couldn't save Iralla. He has not flown since gently easing her body into the moonlit lagoon, and mentally blocks out the fact that he can fly. He feels... if he is to fly again... then he is abandoning Irallas memory and leaving her behind. Though this is irrational of course, it is what he thinks.

Bio: Anim was hatched from an egg to two very loving Eagle-type parents and grew up as a normal eagle-type could grow up. Flying lessons, learning how to allow eagles to trust you to let you fly with them, tending to an abandoned egg, etc. When he hit his adolescent stage however, he found himself falling for a Flora type Taalunian who roamed often just beneath his home nest. They spoke often and slowly developed feelings for one another, before his parents found out. While being with a Taalunian not of your type that at least roams in the same area as you is culturally accepted, his parents, whom were particularly racist and did not believe in this cultural allowance, forbid it.
Anim ran away from home with his Flora type girlfriend, Iralla, and into the towns. For years they lived together in secrecy, not letting the public know of their race... until Iralla was found. Anim and She were kidnapped, and their captors attempted to poison them both. Anim was able to escape, but just when Anim reached out for Iralla, he found it was too late... they had forced her to drink the poison; which had acted extremely fast in her plant like body. In a rage, Anim stole away her withered corpse and flew away, carrying her cadaver. He went to a lagoon they'd used to frequent in the moonlight, and laid her at final rest where only fireflies and moonlight would be able to grace her body.

Anim is now working as a vigilante with his wings covered and hood always up. He has taken on bounty's to help pay for his living expenses and wanders aimlessly. He can be found in the tavern often of what town he is visiting, drinking away her memory.

Other: An Eagle type Taalunian is able to fly, and also possess the powers of sight of a typical Eagle. A good example is flying miles high in the sky and being able to spot a fish near the surface of a lake they fly over. His preferred weapon is a bow and arrow.

Anims Dragon:
Dragon's Name: Ristrup

Personality: An angry spitfire only calm when coddled and given attention.

Appearance: Look at this lil cutie omygoodness~ Since Anim has his own wings, this little guy would ride in his coat and only fly around when they're near the ground.

Breath Type: [Breathes fire, ice, etc.] No Breath type, but has a venomous bite. Anim has the antidote, which Ristrup also provides organically in his body.

Well, the whole concept of your character is interesting. I don't entirely understand, though -- he no longer flies, correct? If not, how is he going to travel and keep up with the dragons?

he'll have a breakthrough wink wink, its just a mental blockade. he can still fly, he simply chooses not to.

Okay, I'm gonna address some things. Like Monsieur said; please leave time shifts up to me, and be careful when you RP things that effect an entire group. When people besides the GMs do things like this, it can steer the roleplay off course. I have a set of interesting plots and battles we can do, but if everyone keeps changing the setting on me, we are not going to be able to do them. I am a relatively active person, so if you have an idea, shoot me a PM and we can work out some of the plot holes.

@Sezir -- I completely support individual writing styles. However, you are kind of confusing me. It's difficult to read, the way you switch from third to first-person.
If you really prefer first person, that's cool. But to make my life easier, I need you to pick one or the other. If you should choose first-person, label your paragraphs like this;

I ate a banana. It was delicious, all soft and sweet. The peel was perfectly yellow and unmarked, looking life it was just picked from the tree. I couldn't stop myself from eating another.

The way Jack eats bananas disgusts me. He worships those nasty, gooey things. I can't stand the yellow color, either. I wish he would eat something like broccoli instead.
