Victor chuckled at Katherin's amazement as he walked into the room. She wasn't lying though, tons of different instrument were scattered among the room, some Victor didn't even recognize. He noticed an old flute laying discarded on the floor, he picked it up and ran a hand across it. Victor's eyes suddenly changed to a yellow hue and his pupils became narrow and stretched vertically along his irises, like cat eyes. When he spoke his voice was no longer his normal "American" accent, but a heavy and slightly deeper Arabian accent. "This is quite beautiful, like what Victor has seen as a child." Victor smiled. He didn't act like the normal Victor either, almost like he was a different person.

Katherin barely noticed the change she was studying each instrument carefully. "What did you find?" Katherin made her way over to a dark double cello. She ran her hands lovingly over it. "I should see if I can get mine shipped here."

Victor showed Katherin the flute, "This was the instrument Victor grew up with. It is nice, yes?" He smiled at her, "Victor's father played this when we would go to bed. After his death Victor had not seem on in many years."

Katherin looked at Victor oddly. She wondered why he was talking about himself in the third person. "Victor is lucky to know who his father is. Has Victor gone somewhere?"

Victor laughed alittle, "Victor is here, but he is gone at the moment." He smiled, "I am the Velmen. It is a pleasure to meet such a fine specimen like yourself." he looked down at the flute, "The Velmen race has two forms, human and Velmen. The Velmen is the 'cat' side as you could probably tell. We are normally nomadic, but Victor does not like to travel."

Katherin nodded. She had heard of people who had developed a second personality. There were a few reasompns for this development. She wondered what has caused Victor to suffer such a change. Still they had only just met so she wasn't going to ask. Maybe someday he would trust her but for now she would be friends with both personalities if she could. "Hello Velmen. I am Katherin. It is nice to met you as well."

Victor nodded, "Well, I must go. I'm sure Victor would like to be around. Good bye." His eyes changed back to normal and he shook his head. "This is a nice flute." Victor had returned to normal and was now smiling at the flute in his hand.

"You've played the cello?" Victor looked at her curiously, "I would never have guessed." He smiled at Katherin, "That's really cool though, I've only ever played the harmonica so I've always wanted to be able to play something else." He paused for a moment before sighing slightly, "You meet 'HIM' haven't you? I can tell." He was obviously talking about his Velmen side. "I hope he wasn't mean to you or anything, he has a habit of being quite unpredictable." He laughed nervously. Victor has never had any good experiences with people who have met his other side and was worried that this would be the same thing.

"Yes I play. I love music. The cello was the first instrument that I found that I could play with little difficulty. The only problem is that it doesn't travel as well as some of the other instruments. So I will have to convince someone to ship mine to me." Katherin walked over to Victor. She placed her hand on his cheek. "Yes I met Him. He was very nice. You don't need to worry. I think he likes me."

Victor blushed when she place her hand on his cheek, "I'm glad," He smiled brightly at Katherin, "He usually scares people away, but I'm glad he has warmed up to you so quickly." Victor pulled Katherin in for a hug. He let her go and laughed nervously, "Sorry, don't mean to get all touchy, it's just you've been so nice to me and I just wanted to say thank you." He smiled awkwardly, "It means a lot."

Katherin smiled and laughed softly. "it's alright I don't mind. It's nice to have a friend. I have traveled so much that it has been impossible to make friends. So it means a lot to me to be able to call you friend." .

Victor smiled brightly, "I feel the same way." Victor liked the thought of having a friend, it meant he was not alone anymore. He couldn't help but just sit and stare at Katherin with a large smile on his face. He hasn't smiled this much since he was a small child. Victor noticed he was staring and adverted his eyes, "Umm, well... Is there anywhere else you would like to check out around school?" He scratched the back of his head and laughed nervously.

"I think I heard that buildings are split between genders, but everyone gets there own room." Victor lead Katherin around the school exploring everywhere until they found the two dorm buildings. "Finally! That took freaking forever!" He yelled dramatically. He looked at the buildings and back at Katherin, "Let's go find your room, I left my stuff in the home room so I'll unpack later."

"That's very sweet of you. It won't take long to unpack my things. I didn't bring much. Traveling doesn't allow a person to aquire much." Katherin explained. She dug out the paper out of her bag and looked to see what room she was assigned to. She was assigned to room 7, which she assumed was on the first floor. So she began walking down the hall.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Being apart of a highly nomadic race myself I know what it means to travel alot." Victor followed Katherin through the hall as they searched foot her room. "I've never liked traveling though." He got tense for a bit think back to his childhood, before his parents died and was put into foster care, by some very nasty humans. He use to travel a lot with his father.

Katherin shook her head. "I like seeing new places and meeting new people. But I think it will be nice to be able to actually stay in one place and make friends." Katherin told him as she unlocked the door to her room. It was a nice side room. Bigger then most she had stayed in. It had a double bed and a dresser.

Victor looked around the room, "These are some nice dorm rooms." He stood and waited patiently for Katherin to unpack. "It'll be nice to know someone here." He said trying to keep the conversation going, "I was afraid I had to go though this school year alone," Victor paused for a second, "Like I usually would have to do." He laughed awkwardly trying to keep what he said sounding light hearted, but failing miserably.

"I can hardly wait met everyone. I'm glad I met you Victor. It's nice to have a friend." Katherin told him. She finished unpacking her clothes. Last she set a large stuffed koala on the pillow of the bed. She looked around the room. It was nice to have a place that was just hers. She would have to get some things to decorate with.
