Jack shrugged. "I dunno... Companions seem...hard to keep...." he said quietly.

He shrugged. "Yeah, and they're hard to get over if you have to leave them, but eventually your heart heals and you go out and get a companion again." he explained. "Trust me, you'll never want to travel alone, and eventually, I'm going to let you adventure on your own. You'll need a companion, they help you get through the troubles of the universe."

Jack was silent for a moment. "I'm not sure I'll be ready..."

"Oh, well don't worry, it's going to probably be quite a while before I let you go out on your own." he said. "You'll be ready and excited to go out on your own, then, trust me." he turned around while sitting down. "Oh, and soon the kings are going to have a wrestling match, in which the king of France is going to quickly and swiftly beat the king of England, something that the England king is going to be quite upset about." he said.

"Aaagh! Don't tell me that!" Jack laughed. "I wanted to see for myself..." he pouted teasingly.

"Sorry, I've watched this happen before." he said, smiling. "Don't worry! It'll still be entertaining." he laughed as the the kings chatted, and then they shook hands. "They're starting, cmon!" he said, running back to the bleachers, leaving their picnic right there. He sat down in the bleachers and got ready for it to start.

Jack followed happily. "I still wanted to find out for myself..."

The Doctor chuckled and the kings gt into position. They reared back, then ran forward, and began wrestling. After about ten seconds, the king of France was thrown to the side, and was beaten by the king of England. The Doctor didn't realize what had happened at first, but then he did. "Oh, this is bad." he simpy said. "I've watched this match about five times now, and I know this, this is bad." he said as he grabbed Jack by the arm and ran into the TARDIS. He set the TARDIS to go to 2014, England. The TARDIS flung about and around going through the timestream, then landed. He ran to the local library, and got a history book. He flipped through the pages, and found the Italian Wars. The Italian Wars of 1521-26 was changed to the Italian Wars of 1523-29. The war's outcome was also different, instead of the Spanish winning, it was France who won. Much of England was now apart of France, and so many consequences resulted from this. "This is bad, that was a timelocked event." he said as he ran back towards the TARDIS.

"How did it change? I don't understand..." Jack said as he got back. "How would something not interfered with be changed like that?"

"My guess is that someone is messing with time. I told you, I've seen that wrestling match five times, and France won every time. This time, England won. This caused the wars to happen later on, and France won instead of the Spanish." he said as he stepped into the TARDIS, and ran to the control panel. He pushed a few buttons and flipped a lever, and the TARDIS started rumbling again.

"Who would do that?" he asked, holding onto the railing.

"There are a lot of things in the universe, many dangerous and bad things." he flipped a switch, and the TARDIS flew back to the party where time was messed up. He landed a few hours before, specifically six, and landed outside of the Henry VIII's castle. He stepped out of the TARDIS, and walked up to the front of the castle, where he was greeted by guards. They questioned him, and he showed them his psychic paper to make him and Jack look like officials to the King. He walked in and walked into the King's bedroom, where he was sound asleep. He tipy-toed into the closet, and waited for Jack to follow.

Jack followed the Doctor quietly and slid into the closet.

"Ok, I'm going to watch the King and see if anything peculiar happens." he whispered as a waitress came into the bedroom where the King was sleeping. She rung a bell and the King awoke with a start. "Good morning, Vinessa. Do you have the usual?" he asked. Vinessa was the woman who cam einto his room every day and woke him up, then offered him a special wine. She nodded and handed him the glass, then poured the wine in. She bowed and stepped out of the room. The Doctor watched with unsurity. He didn't know what had already happened in history, but he knew what was abnormal. The moment the wine touched his lips, he coughed, then coughed again. He went into a bit of a coughing fit, and fell over on the bead, not dead, but unconcious for unknown reasons. The wine had spilled onto the floor, but began slithering around. It crawled up the bed and inside the King's mouth. The King awoke with a burp, and looked about the room. He got up and stretched. He smiled and devilish smile. Something had obviously taken over the King, alien? Probably. He walked out of the closet. "So what are you?" he asked the new King when his back was turned. "I am a KIailath, and we all know who you are, Doctor!" he said trumphantly. "Now tell your friend to get out of the clost. He said, gesturing to his closet.

Jack winced and looked at his father through a hole.

"Come on out, Jack." he said to Jack were he was in the closet.

Jack came out slowly and quietly. "D-dad?"

"Hey, Jack." he said. "Come meet an old 'friend', an alien part of the Klailath race. They take advantage of powerful people in time by taking over their bodied and rewritting history. They then feed off the time energy of newly made time." he explained. "You know us so well, Doctor. Now why don't we know about you?" he asked, approaching the Doctor and narrowing it's eyes. "Maybe it's because we haven't fought a lot in the past...? Oh, what do I know, I'm just throwing out ideas, here." he said, a bit cheerily for some reason. "And no worries, Jack. They never actually have ever harmed anyone on purpose, they just rewrite time." he turned back to the alien in the king's body. "You know we're going to have to stop you, right?" he asked the alien. It laughed a bellowed laugh. "What could you do? All you have is your companion and your screwdriver!" it laughed out.

Jack held up his own screwdriver. "Actually, two screwdrivers..."

"oh, so is this not just another one of you human companions?" he said, and laughed amighty laugh. "It doesn't matter either way, your sonic screwdrivers are usless against me.I will re-write history, and I will feed." he chuckled and began to turn around to exit the castle. The Doctor was worried, along with the abaility to possess anything, they also were very strong and fast. There was no way that the king of England could lose, unless... he scratched his chin, then got an idea. He grabbed Jack by the arm and ran out of the castle and into the field of cloth of gold, where the party was still being set up. He ran over to the exact spot that the two kings would be wrestling. "Help me with this." he said as he grabbed a discarded shovel and began digging under the spot where Henry VIII would be standing during the wrestling match. "Just grab a shovel and dig where I'm digging." he said as he began digging.
