What most people dont know these days is that the world is filled with more secretes then we are led to believe. True the ocean has yet to be fully studied and new species each day are being found but this is much bigger. When you think of advanced beings one would look to the stars and think about life on other planets.
They think of aliens with technology that can outshine our primitive race as either friendly or foe. What we dont ever seem to think about is the ground benieth our feet. What answers does it hide and what stories does it have to tell?

For centuries the human race has shared this planet with animals have had no thought as to if they were the most advanced on this planet. What they dont know is that a species much smarter, faster and stronger has been hiding in the shadows. Underground to be precise. These beings have the capacity to learn and have mastered peace. Their technology is 50 years ahead of humans and their favorite sport is the art of war. They have mastered the use of resources without damaging the world around them and have been able to keep themselves a secrete from the human race. These beings are called the Amulians. Most that know of their existance say that the Amulians haved evolved from monsters from long ago.Stories or werewolvelike creatures and more have always lingered for enturies in our world. The with no other evidence then primal instincts that connect the Amulians to such creatures of old he handful of human scientist have little to go on. The Amulians live in underground cities under every major city in the world. With secret passages to the world above these wise being are able to interact with humans.
Each Amulian has a special defense mechanism out of three. Teleport, invisability and flight. They often use these when threatened as last resort.


The Amulians do have an interest in letting the humans know that they exist at one point in the future. To be able to work together and live in harmony with humans is a goal that has for a long time been on the mind of Amulian leaders. Sadly the last six months have left the Amulians with doubt. Reports of a virus entering Amulian cities and changing the residents have been going around. Syptoms of the virus vary from male and female. Both sexes get uncontrollable anger, forget places, names and they forget all reason leaning on animal instinct. Males get territorial while females are agressively in heat pouncing on every male that seems to be a good mate until they find the right one. Slowly they get hairier and facial features start to change with beastly quialities. They have yet to rever back to full animals since they still rarely speak.

So far in Asia this virus has yet to show up so the continent makes a perfect haven for those on the run from the virus. All surviving cities are now closing off the entrances from the above ground in hopes to keep isolated from the human world and contain the virus. With many minds at work trying to figure out how to cure those struck by the virus there are new laws about going above ground. No one is allowed to leave the cities or decend ino them. Now the city of Tokyo has the last underground city still open.

Now the young and old are living their daily lives as though nothing is wrong. With gossip spreading about the virus worry still looms in the air. What will you do with the time you have left of freedom? Will the virus spread to this city? How will you protect yourself and family?


Being the peacful people they are most Amulians participate in fighting as a sport. From young to old everyone has participated. Just like humans have PE in school Amulian youths go through training to fight at a young age. Huge domes are placed
at corners of each underground city. Just as human have football, baseball and soccor Amulians enoy hand to hand combat and more. Some turn the sport into a career while others just paricipate for exersixe or fun. Amulians use weapons
that are not leathal such as smoke bombs and poles in the domes but there are a few that go above ground and fight with deadly weapons. This act is not condoned by the Amulian way but it is simply a more human version to those that admire
blood shed. This is a very big problem and penalties along with punishmens are ready to be given out to those who participate in such volger acts. Although a Amulian has yet to die from such a sport there is worry and many questions over this matter.

I'm currently creating a profile (if you're still going ahead with this one?) and just have a few questions:
Firstly, are the underground race strictly human, or do they have animal/alien features?
Also, how future-tech are we talking? Like mech-suits, laser technology, etc? Or similar to now but just more awesome and/or shiny?

Hmmm the idea is somewhat promising, however they're some notable problems, first a subterranean species would not have eyes, of they would be blind, in permanent darkness there is no need for their use. So I don't see how they've evolved, if you can shed some light on this that would good.
Secondly are the abilities natural or born from technology?
Thirdly you say that there is a major city underneath every major city on earth, at this current moment in time I'd say they're at least 700 cities on earth, and having another city underneath each one would must likely destabilise the earths crust and it'd probably never work.
And they many more flaws with this, I think it will work but unless you solve some issues that make this world of yours impossible to exist then people might start to appreciate it.
Sorry for the grief, but I'm trying to help.

They are humanlike until after they get infected. You could maybe make a character that was someones experiment or something like that. Just dont go overbored please. As for tech I was thinking that suits are very important and laser tech is narrowed down to small things. It can only be big if its in a lab and its being put to use for the city. I think that awesome, shiny and makes life easier would do as long as its not too crazy. Remember everything has a limit.

I do apologise its just how I get sometimes, If there's just not enough info behind I get a bit picky, you know it is kind of hard to detail an entire race in a few paragraphs.
Anyway I am sorry, for that.

But because of this the pre-Amulians learned to quickly work in tune with nature and the other inhabitants. Then when the pre-homosapiens started running around with clubs and spears, so the Amulians hid underground, preferring to advance themselves in a new environment than fight off the more primitive species. The two evolutionary strains split, and with the Amulians living under ground they had a higher levels of radiation and so their bodies mutated faster - it was rickety for a while, but eventually the weaker strains were wiped out and there you have your super-human Amulian species (Please don’t interogate out the massive flaws in genetics and physics that are in this background, I’m pretty much making this up from my very old and limited highschool lessons).
Also, that they didn’t lose their eyesight because they found ways of filtering in the sun due to agriculture and farming that they had already primitively developed? (running out of steam with this now…) And finally that their defensive powers are due to both technology and biology, and that over many decades they’ve found ways of augmenting powers in those with the predisposition for it. They started introducing the drugs to the young and over the generations the three primary defenses of invisibility, flight and teleportation have formed in all of the population.

I hope this helps to give a little more depth? Also, I hope I haven't trodden on any toes, I have merely let my thoughts spiral with this one.

She is quite quick and nimble on her feet and off them, preferring speed and agility to beat her opponents. Sara will mainly stick to the legal, non-violent fights, but has been known to occasionally venture above-ground for a bit of blood-shed.

Pros:

• Resourceful -
She likes to prepare for any eventuality in everyday life and always carries a utility belt and kit bag of essentials around with her.

• Brave -
Sara is never one to shy away from a challenge or problem. Typically opting for the 'meet your opponent head-on' option when given the chance.

On the whole, Sara is a friendly person. She doesn't easily give up her life-story, but enjoys social interaction and gathering acquaintances.

Cons:

• Anti-Authoritarian -
Due to her past Sara has become very independent and fairly self-sufficient, which makes her difficult to work with. She can be quite solitary and has a temper when it comes to management. Sara often feels restricted and defensive when people tell her how to do her job.

• Argumentative -
Sara can be very opinionated at times, that coupled with her ‘no-fear’ attitude means she’ll point out, quite loudly, the flaws in the opposing point. Even if she wasn’t originally part of the conversation.

• Ruthless -
When push comes to shove, Sara will not hesitate to push you out of her way. She is a survivalist who will not idly lie down die, but fight tooth and nail to ensure she gets out of the situation alive.

History: Sara was born in the city under London along with her none-identical twin sister Evelynn. She escaped the city about a month after the first known outbreak of the virus hitting London. Sara had been quite oblivious to the effects of the virus at first, and figured it would be another fleeting thing like the common cold that so racked the immune systems of the humans above. That was until it got her sister. The effects had been small to start, or Evelynn had been good at covering them. Loss of voice, irritable temper (which was very unusual behaviour), but Sara dismissed the symptoms as mood-swings. It was when Eve tried suffocating her in her sleep that she really saw the true effects of the disease. Sara was lucky that she was such a light sleeper. After the event Sara quickly escaped the city and sought out a new home, the risk of staying and finding the others within the city walls was too high. Six months later she found herself in Tokyo underground. The quarantine she had to pass was laborious but necessary, and after 2 weeks in confinement she was free to join her new home.

Sara has always held an inkling that it is the humans fault for the virus, but often keeps these thoughts to herself. She is one of the few that doesn't want a symbiosis with the apes living above ground. This deep-seeded distrust was birthed when she and her sister were very young. Sara had always been the more rebellious and confrontational of the two, something their parents put down to the fact that she was born first. This rebellious nature led to the pair of them often sneaking off in the dead of night. Back then Sara was very curious of the humans and their world, and eventually they found an unguarded, derelict tunnel leading to the surface. The trips to the human world were fleeting but nonetheless thrilling. Everything about the way they worked fascinated her childish mind and Sara often snuck away to experience the bustling city life on her own. One day she came across a group of bullies picking on a smaller child. Not standing for the injustice she ran towards the group, shouting and screaming until they all scattered. She held out a hand to the small human boy, expecting thanks but hoping for something more, maybe even a friendship. The boy on the other hand didn't take kindly to the gesture and lashed out, busting her nose. Needless to say she cried the whole way home and most of the night. The act was small in the relative nature of things, but it was enough to nurture an uneasiness around the primitive beings, a root that developed into a growing mistrust over the many years afterwards.
