"Child I don't have an idea of what you are saying." Cheshire said grinning. May's eyes has a certain red glow beginning to appear. She kicked Red Star's hands. "Let him go just give up we aren't partners anymore." she growled.

Red Star grit his teeth his eyes clenched shut. "Fuck... Dammit... Why won't you... You never..." He grabbed his head hardly able to take the madness he was feeling. As his eyes shot open once again, the stars that were usually in his pupils enlarged to cover most of his irises. "You never listen... I'm trying to help you. I'm on your side. I'm always on your side and you always ignore me. You never stand up for me. You.... Fight me." He said the madness and anger clouding his judgement. "Fight... Me... NOW!" He said as he attacked her with a palm strike to the gut. If it landed it would probably hurt like hell and blow her backwards. She was gonna fight him... He wasn't gonna let his partner go without a fight after all. Especially not some creepy cat who had only give her... A weapon right? Maybe if he got that... Maybe... He thought.

May blocked the attack and slid backwards. Her eyes were now glowing as she took the knife and charged forward swinging it. The knife glowed slightly also as it was becoming powered by the madness that May was collecting due to her being unable to sense the madness take over her. In her mind though she could see it happening and she was scared. 'please Red help me' the sane version of herself called in her brain

Red Star began to move back dodging May fairly easily. Normally, he could just transform a part of his body into a weapon and strike down an opponent, but this was May. Even the madness couldn't make him hurt his partner like that. Maybe if he could use Soul menace. Tune it so he couldn't hurt her too much. "Like it or not May. You're not going anywhere." He said before throwing a kick aimed at her hand. He hoped to at least kick her arm away from him even if he couldn't get the knife out of her hand just yet. Then he'd throw two punches. One aimed at her shoulder, the next aimed at her stomach and finally he would try to hit her chest with a palm strike this time using soul menace.

May tried to block the hits but she was fighting herself internally so everything hit her and made her fly into a tree. She still held onto the knife but she struggled to get up. His attacks were stronger than he intended and she had bruises already forming on her pale skin.

As May tried to get up Red Star leaped into the tree. He grabbed the wrist of the hand she was using to hold the knife. "Let go of it. Let go of it now." He ordered her not wanting to hurt her anymore than necessary. Though he was squeezing her wrist pretty tight and might have been hurting her anyway.

May refused to let go of the knife no matter how much it hurt from his grip. It felt as though he was crushing her bones but she used his grip and flipped aiming a kick to his head while he still held her.

Red Star kept a firm hold on her wrist and barely moved when she flipped and kicked his head. "If that it?" He asked as he yanked her back down. She would hit anything, but he'd have a better hold of her and she'd probably end up dangling over the edge of the branch. "You can put an end to this, but letting go of the knife. It's that simple." He told her hoping she'd just give in. May couldn't beat him in hand to hand combat when he got serious. No way. Not Black Star's kid who'd gone through some hellish training with his father.

May glared as she dangled there. She narrowed her eyes even more and flicked her wrist causing pain but also making the knife move straight towards his wrist of the hand gripping her wrist.

Red Star didn't let the knife make contact. He grabbed the blade with his free hand. Then he began to try and force it from her hand. It was all he could do now. Of course, now it would be a lot easier to make him stumbled off the branch because of the position he was in.

May wasn't going to let go of the knife it was like it was attached to her, now maybe if Red Star tried something like transforming into a weapon himself it might help. She never let him touch the ground or fall in his weapon form. It was just something wired into her brain. May thrashed in his grip to try and get him to let go of her.

Red Star finally pulled May up. "Alright May... Fine..." He said looking down. "I give..." He stepped back a bit. "You've never let me hit the ground as a weapon before if you could help it." He then said beginning his last ditch effort. "So if you let me fall now... I'll know you really don't want me to be your partner anymore." He glanced at the cat. "HEY! If I hit the ground... Toss me into the water." He called out before leaping off the branch and turning into his ninja sword mode. He was heading straight down.

May's reall self fought harder. She had promised to him once she would never let him fall. She never broke a promise. She jumped off, reaching with her other hand. She gripped her opposite hand around the grip and she rolled when she hit the ground. As she stood up a blast seemed to come from her soul, the blast knocked the knife out of her hand leaving only Red Star in her hand. Her eyes returned to normal as a headache formed. From her catching Red Star it helped repel the spreading madness and her soul sent a blast of anti-madness wavelength knocking the blade out of her hand.
Cheshirejumped down and looked at them in shock. "Crap..." He cursed under his breath. May glared at the cat. "I almost left my partner, the most understanding person in my life because of you..." She growled. "You're done for. I know you are made of pure black blood of the kishin. Part of my own black blood. I saw what my mad self was thinking, the black blood inside me keeps me from controlling my madness fully. If I destroy the main black blood inside me then I will gain full control to harness my madness. Goodbye Cheshire." May said before she used speed star, the only skill she knew to use from the star clan, to charge forward and slice the cats head off with Red Stars ninja sword mode. When she sliced through him he turned into liquid in the form of black blood then evaporated completely.
May sat on the ground leaning against the tree. She carefully set Red Star beside her so he could return to normal. "I'm sorry red. I should have listened to you. I know I'm bad at that but I promise I will get better. I'm sorry, really sorry." May said as she stared into the dense forest in front of her.

Red Star turned back into his human form and laughed a bit. "Don't worry about it May..." He mumbled as he leaned on her. "For now let's just rest and put this all behind us. Okay partner?" He said putting a bit more weight on her as he was tired from fighting and arguing... With her...

May nodded and let him lean against her as she stared into the forest. She would stay awake until he woke back up despite how tired she was. She needed time to think so she would let her partner sleep first then he could take watch while she slept if he was up for it.

Red was slowly drifting off to sleep. As he got a bit more comfortable he put his arms around May and pull her down making her lay with him. She must have been tired. Maybe this was his way of making her sleep. Though he was already asleep himself.

May stiffened slightly when she was pulled to the ground with Red's arms constricting her next to him. Well that was interesting, her partner was cuddling her to him like she was a teddy bear almost. But by doing this she was being pulled into the sleep world. 'We should be fine for a few hours. We would both wake up if we sensed danger' May said before falling asleep also, unconsciously cuddling closer to him.

Red slept calmly holding onto May tightly with no signs of letting go.
