It's a horror game that came out months ago (Five Nights At Freddys) which exploded on Youtube. I'm guessing Pit is just shouting anything because it appears to have been all he's been talking about in like, a week or something.

It's an indie-horror game that got way too much hype because the developers had a basic understanding of suspense and jump-scares. It's fun to play, but only in the same way that slender was.

It's kind of because of popular Youtubers anyone knows what this game is at all, let alone bought it. After watching 15 minutes of it, I'm pretty sure I've had the full (mediocre) experience.

The game would have been MUCH more suspenseful if you had to actually walk around and lock doors manually for the full night while the puppets are trying to find you. You can tell this game was made on a shoestring budget.

Now that I would enjoy playing. Still, if I were to play something like that, it'd probably just make me want to play Amnesia.

The occasional jump scare is okay.

But if it relies on jump scares for the horror, then it isn't scary. It's just things popping out at you.

I disagree. Ambiance is important, but there is far more to building suspenseful and truly horrifying gameplay. Jump-scares, however, have nothing to do with it.

I've never seen an actual horror game that hasn't just went jumpscare crazy. I feel like the only thing other than jumpscares (that i've seen) is really horrifying character imagery/personalities.
