1Charak2 You can't assign your heroes to your own god. Heroes you make have to serve the god of another player.

I see you're trying to set up a cool story, but the other players can't do anything with this. I think it's for the best if you follow the guidelines of akje right now. Create one or two villagers on their way to the feast with their sacrifices. Depending on the characters other players can decide to make them champions for their god.

My plans were to keep a loose leash.
I'd like to prevent OOC conflict as much as possible and promote a strong narrative.
I know it's going kinda slow as a start, it's because we have a large amount of players and it's a new and tricky concept we're playing.
So if the niece offers up a vow to take revenge on a god, yeah I think that's a pretty strong sacrifice, and maybe another god might be interested in that.

I do suggest to take it slow. give other players the chance to introduce characters and get to the feast as well. They might want to interfere.

I think if you want to claim one of them as serving your god, that would be fine. However, you can't control a hero serving your god. If you do want one of them to serve Azrael, I would have to control him.
