G-Block was buzzing with commotion. Apparently there was a new deadman. He'd been hidden away until it was time for his debut match. But he had only been at DW for about 2 days. In order to keep him a secret any news and information about him had been with held. However, as of today his bird name had been announced along with his match opponent. it was on most of, if not all of, the screens throughout the halls of G-Block.

"Raven vs. Sparrow. Damn dude... Talk about unlikely... Newbies, dead." One inmate said calmly.

Rai had been walking by when he heard. "Well. Looks like it's my turn again." He said as he leaned down just a bit to get a better look. The fellow inmate and Deadman jumped a bit in surprise. "Relax Joey. It's not like I'm gonna be fighting you today." Rai laughed before walking away. The inmate, Joey, sighed in relief watching Rai go towards the cafeteria. Wonder what the newbie'll be like. He thought calml as he walked. poor dude... Hope today isn't his last. Or at least hope he doesn't have any regrets. He then thought.

Nightingale heard the announcement of the name while she was in the fitness room, well he's deadmeat' Rin thought to herself before turning back to the punching bag. She continued to punching, kick, and beat the back relentlessly. Sweat glistened on her body as she moved, her outfit different from her normal attire. She currently wore just a sportsbra and shorts allowing her to not get overheated as she worked out. She typically wouldn't wear this around other deadmen but she had studied others schedules and knew the best time for her to workout with out others there. So here she was beating a bag that would probably break soon from her relentlessly beating it. She would watch the match tonight it helped her to know her opponents she could possibly face, even if they could possibly die soon. The nightingale was not really going to think to much of it. She'd been here for too long and she had seen many newbies come and go. Some just didn't have what it takes to survive, which is probably the better road but she had goals of revenge and she'd make it happen.

With one last punch the bag broke and Rin relaxed, she went to the bench and grabbed a white cloak that was imilar to her normal outfit. She put it on and pulled the hood up and made sure she was completely covered. Rin headed out barefoot and walked through the halls to the cafeteria keeping to herself with her head down. No one knew it was her, you'd have to see her hair or face to know for sure. Rin soon arrived at the cafeteria and looked at the food calmly deciding what to get.

Currently Rai was sitting alone at a table having already gotten himself some food. A nice meal really. DW wasn't really so bad once you got past the fighting... The torture... Well yeah it was terrible. But if you could raise some of the money the prison used you could deal a bit better then if you were broke. And being a deadman had it's perks. "I guess I could work on just incapacitating the runt tonight. Wouldn't be that much of a stretch." He spoke to himself as he ate some more.

Nightingale grabbed her food and looked around for a place to sit. Looking around she saw the only available seats were those at the table the Raven, a.k.a Rai was sitting at. 'Great, the one person who will be able to tell that I'm Nightingale. At least no one knows my real name. Makes life easier that way. Rin thought as she walked to the table and sat across from him keeping her face down as she began to eat. Trying to ignore his presence as she did so. People began to stare because not many people chose to sit by Rai for he was intimidating, some people did though if they knew him better but currently no one else was so seeing this cloaked, mysterious person no one knew sit across from him was a sight. Truth be told, Rai was one of the few Rin had spoken to during her time here. If anything she could call him her only semi-friend in the hell hole but she tended to not think like that because she didn't want to get attached and she had a certain anger/ fear towards boys after her past.

Rai glanced up at Nightingale and smiled. "Thanks for the company." He said calmly as he continued to eat. He didn't call out who it was that had sat by him. She obviously didn't want anyone to know it was her. "So have you been busy today?" He asked trying to strike up a small conversation.

Nightingale looked at her table mate. "Just the usual. Avoiding people and observing them at the same time." Nightingale said as she took another bite of her food. "I have a strange feeling about this fight Raven. Be prepared for something. They are doing this to give the best show so the newbie has something worthwhile that relates to why you are fighting him." Nightingale said simply with a hushed tone as she spoke between bites.

Rai nodded in agreement. "I know. Either the newbie is seriously strong, or they want me to play executioner today." He said before finishing his food. "Either way. There's only a 1% chance of my loss." He laughed a bit. "God... I'm laughing about a death match. What the fuck has this place done to me?" He stood up. "I'll see you around stranger." He said as he tossed any scraped in the trash and left his tray on top of the can. Without another word he waved to Nightingale and left.

Nightingale nodded to him as a goodbye as he left and then she herself finished and threw away her trash. She swiftly headed to her room and sat on her couch before pulling out her book of songs she has written and kept writing while her tv silently played past matches as time counted down to the match tonight. She was curious of what could possibly happen tonight.

Rai went back to his room and laid down waiting until it was time for the Carnival Corpse.

Hours later night fell over Tokyo. Many slept, but for those in G-Block and those who spectated and made bets, it was time for Carnival Corpse. "Tonight for our main event we have a Carnival Corpse veteran taking on a newbie in a death match! Give it up! FOR DEADMAN WONDERLAND'S RAVEN!" The announcer called out over the intercom as Rai entered the large bird cage. He cracked his knuckled and rolled his head allowing his neck to crack as well. "Let's do this." Was all he said.

There were mumbles and whispers from those watching digitally. Things like "This should be quick." And "Poor Rookie." Nobody seemed to believe the new guy whoever he was would win.

"And now! The newest addition to G-Block! Please welcome! SPARROW!" The announcer then called out. A timid looking boy with red hair entered the stage.

"No way..." Rai mumbled a little shocked.

The Newbie stared at Rai for a moment. "Wait... B-Br..." Before he could finished Rai suddenly appeared in front of him. Rai hadn't moved that face in a while. He hadn't needed to. And just like that the Newbie was one his back having been slammed down. What a way to begin a match.

Nightingale watched the match from her room. Wait... B-Br...' was all she heard before the newbie was being slammed into the ground. "Br.... hmmm...." Rin began to think over it, Rai was in shock when he saw the new guy and both the Raven's and the Sparrow's eyes had some look of recognition in them. "No freaking way. Are they brothers?" RIn said outloud. That would make the match make sense. Put brother against brother in order to give it a show. Rin just watched the match as it unfolded. She did so until there was a knock on the door.
"Shit is it my night to help the sadistic doctor again." Rin muttered under her breath. She stood up and walked to the door. And there he was, the sadistic doctor holding the cleaned uniform and wig for Rin. Rin glared at him as the doctor entered her room and shut the door. "Hello Rin-Chan!" The creepy doctor said. "You know what day it is right, yes it is the day you help yours truly with the loser! Once a week every week." The doctor said. "I still don't get why I still do this..." Rin muttered under her breath but the doctor heard her anyways. "Well with your lovely healing skills you seem to have picked up which caused you to have patched up people in the past without our permission this is your punishment like always. Now put this on won't you." He said handing her the outfit, wig, and special necklace that hid her deathrow metal necklace of her own. Rin rolled her eyes and went into her bathroom and closed the door. She changed into the tight basically sexy nurse costume she was forced to wear and put on the long curly blonde wig. She put on the black choker with the black bird in flight on her neck that cloaked the deathrow necklace and then put on the stupid heels. She stomped out and crossed her arms over her chest. 'Fuck you.' She said in her brain not willing to say it out-loud as the two walked to right outside the arena room where they would go in and retrieve the loser.
(Don't judge the idea came to me and I rolled with it XP)

As time passed, Sparrow seemed to be doing his best to get away. "S-stop!" He shouted at Rai. "Don't make this harder than it needs to be." Rai said as he threw what looked like a shuriken made of his blood. It was his least favorite Branch of sin. Of the one's he'd copied anyway. But the strange thing was he was missing. Of course, it only looked like Sora was just really quick and dodging luckily. But someone like Nightingale would probably notice.

Things were continuing this way. "STAY STILL DAMMIT!" Rai threw a few shuriken when he shouted. They cut Sora's right arm. "AH!" The kid shouted in pain. Rai staggered a bit. He'd thrown a lot of shuriken.

"Woah... Looks like Raven got a little over eager. He's lost quite a bit of blood." One of the spectators said. "He better not lose. I've got some money riding on this." Other stupid comments like those were made.

Rai ignored the spectators and walked towards Sora. "You know how to use it already right?" Rai asked sounding like he was annoyed not to be having a better fight. "FUCK MAN! USE IT!" He shouted louder. "No... Stay away!" Sora shouted lifting his arm . The blood that had been spilling out encased it and formed a spike. It shot out and punctured Rai's left shoulder. "Gah!" Rai stumbled back now bleeding more. "Wait... No... No..." Sora spoke in shock as Rai fell back. "Hey get up... GET UP!" The kid said shaking Rai who didn't look like he'd be getting up for a few.

"Aw man... I can't believe this..." One of the spectators spat. "I guess even pros have off days." A woman said. And just like that the match was done.

Rin watched Rai fall and shook her head. Her purple eyes narrowed at the sadistic doctor knowing he was hoping for a painful punishment tonight. Rin ran out in her heels and bent and helped put Rai on a stretcher. She hoped he wouldn't recognize her, no one knew of her little secret. The helpers then carried Rai to a room where he would be patched up before receiving punishment.

Rin walked into the room where Rai was placed on a bed. She walked over to him and began examining his wounds. 'You got yourself into quiet a mess and lost too much blood she then focused on the big puncture wound on his shoulder. She sighed as she took a scalpel and cut his shirt to remove it. She then took it off and went to get a needle with thread to stick up the wound in the mean time. His other scratches that were self inflicted would heal quicker. Rin quickly pulled her blonde wig into a pony tail and her purple eyes got a concentrated look in them as she began stitching his shoulder wound.

After a bit Rai began to awaken. It was right in the middle of Rin beginning to stitch up his shoulder. "Ah... Fuck..." He grunt quickly grabbing her wrist by reflex. It'd been so long since he'd been in this position that he'd almost forgotten how much things hurt since the bastards didn't use anesthesia. Finally he realized and released the nurse. Wait... Nurse? Since when?

He stared at her for a bit in silence. He knew her, but... "Oh... This is too good." He laughed a bit ignoring the pain. "I can't believe you're here." He said shaking his head. "So what? You just a pawn in the sick freak's game, or you growing to enjoy this kind of thing?" He asked obviously not serious about the second part. He knew she wasn't the sadistic or evil type. Still he was low on blood and still a little out of it from going down. Even if it was on purpose it was a bit much.

"Yeah. I enjoy dressing up like a blonde bimbo for the doctor's entertainment. He enjoys making me help him punish people. Truly enjoyable Raven." Rin said before clicking her tongue as she finished stitching up his shoulder. Rin sighed as she took rubbing alcohol and cleaned the smaller scratches. "So you have a brother huh?" Rin asked but more so stated as she cleaned his wounds.

Rai sighed and soon his eyes widened. "Fuck... So you know..." He said before looking away. He didn't have the energy or the time to come up with a believable lie. "Keep my secret. And I keep your's." He said calmly referring to this. Other inmates weren't so smart as to figure it out.And most didn't know her as well as Rai did. "Oh and I'm gonna need a few favors. But we can talk about those later." He added as he waited for the doctor.

(Have him take a kidney or something like that.)

At that exact moment in came the doctor with the lovely machine that would decided Raven's fate and cameras. "Hello sweetheart, I see you fixed up our Raven before the main event. Thank you darling." The doctor said walking to her and putting a hand on her shoulder. She held back a shudder and looked at Rai a quick second as she began to strap his hands and arms down, along with a strap over his waist and chest. She then walked over to the hell machine, as she called it, and pulled the lever. It came out as left kidney. Rin was forced to help in some parts as they did the operation without any pain killer or anesthetic. She hated this part, but she had to do it or else things would end bad for her.

After it was done, she was the one to take him to his room. Rin stood at the edge of where he was strapped. All the cameramen, nurses, and doctors had left. Rin had grabbed a lab coat and wrapped herself in it and then gone and unstrapped Rai. She held her hand out to the man, "Let's go." She said simply. She would help him up and the help him to his room. Give him a single shot of morphine she had taken sneakily and then be on her way. Rin wasn't one to stay in the presence of others for so long, she had begun to feel slightly uncomfortable.

Throughout the entirety of the event, so to speak, Rai grunted and let out little yelps of pain at first. And one the serious part of the surgery kicked in he began to struggle and shout in agony. He wanted so bad to kill the doctor. To kill all the sick freaks who participated in this. But there was nothing he could do.

Finally it ended. What felt like an eternity of pain finished and everyone had gone. Soon Nightingale unstrapped him. She offered to help him up, but he pushed her hand away. "Don't treat me like I'm another one of those weak fucks." He said as he forced himself to his feet. He staggered a bit, but he remained standing. And soon he began to walk. "And no drugs." He held his side. He wasn't good with any form of drug, pharmaceutical or not. "Just help me get to my room and help me find my brother." He said to her keeping himself going. He had to keep himself looking strong. If not any cred and reputation he'd acquired might as well have been flushed down the toilet. He could handle this much. He had to be able to.

Nightingale just blinked and walked and opened the door for him. She entered the hallway and made sure the coast was clear. "I'll get your brother after I change and bring him to you." Rin said simply before leaving. The morphine in her pocket may come in handy for someone else at a later point. Rin swiftly went to her room and changed into her normal outfit before throwing on her cloak over it and walking through the halls. She walked towards the hallway where the newest deadmen were coming to reside in. Nightingale searched through the dimly lit hallways for him. "Sparrow. Where are you?" She muttered to herself.

As Rai went to his room he could only hope that his brother's presence wasn't a sign of things to come.

Sora was in his room sitting on his bed with his covers wrapped around his body. He was trembling slightly. He was naturally freaking out. Like any kid like him would probably be.

Nightingale eventually found the kids room and didn't hesitate to just open it. She looked at him her face shadowed by the cloak that wrapped around her body. "Your brother wants to see you. So follow me. Now." She said simply, leaving no room to bargain as she turned and walked barefoot down the hall at a pace where he could catch up to her.
