Akina: As expected, the hotel beds are soo comfy and fluffy...almost makes me wants to sleep...

She quikcly jumps out her bed and starts pulling hi-tech equipment out of nowhere, as if they where being kept in a pocket space. They looked like a common Laptop and lampshades, but they were powerful supercomputers and antennas that connected to other worlds. After activating properly the comp, she started to write her report.

Then, a portal opened behind him and Seraph came out of it.

Necrox: Oh, I just discharged my anger on Patchy. She's there, lying under the books.

Fael: Guess i'll leave it for tomorrow, i want to Hugh and Marie to be nearby when i read it.

Then, Fael places the photo plus the scroll on the table and goes to sleep, it would take a while before he fell asleep.

Surprisingly, Hugh as the second to arrive, getting up from the ground also feeling embarassed.


Hugh: Aparently, physics rules doesn't apply here.

Fael: Well, it's a dream.

Like them, Anna fell on the ground. She got up and then, Giovanni fell as well.


Anna: Oh! I am surprised to meet som many people at the same dream.

Necrox and Lilly appeared right in front of them.


Necrox: You guys have a weeeeeeird way of coming to the Realm...

Lilly: Well, I was expecting much, but not this.

Necrox: Whoa! Now there's someone you don't see everyday.

Lilly: How are you doing, Giovanni?

Soon after she asked, a park appeared. In there, there was a small girl, playing with an adult.

Necrox: The Dream Realm. A world where the dreams of all people exist and interact.

Anna: Is that why you told me to sleep, Princess?

Soon, many more dreams were appearing, of all people. It was forming a beautiful land, made by all the hopes.

Necrox: Are giving birth to the only place where you can find true peace.

Out of nowhere, a crack could be heard. It was like a jewel cracking.


Lilly: ... Oh, it's almost time! Necrox, let's hurry!

Necrox: Oh, crap! We wasted too much time looking at those dreams!

Anna: Wait! Where are you two headed off?

Necrox: No time to explain! Come on, Lilly, let's just go!!

Giovanni: WHOA!!! Wait a moment!!

Necrox: You stupids!! If you guys are so desperate to find him, then just come!! We're asking the Dream Sprite's help!!

Fael: You noticed as well Thomas?

Akina: (He's not the only one.)

Lilly: The minimum possible is five millenia...

Giovanni: Holy god, that's too much time!! All the people dreaming will die!!

Anna: Oh no!! Then... we have to save him!

Necrox: That's good to hear! Now, get your weapons!!

Giovanni: But how?! We're not in the real world, our weapons are- *sees weapon in hand*.

Soon, another crack could be heard from outside.


Anna: The crack sound again!! What was that?!

Lilly: Oh no... that's not good!! At all!!

Anna: W-Why?!

Lilly: One more crack and the crystal will break. If that happens, the Dream Sprite will be free and open up for the Nightmare!!

Giovanni: More than a reason for us to hurry!! I hope he forgives us... but Magio is currently second plan!!

Necrox: Well said!! Let's go and drive it away!!

Dream Realm - Dream Castle

Akina: Too bad, i didn't bring my beam scythe with me...this is a problem right?

Kael: This is not time to state the obvious.

Hugh: So it's up to the unarmed ones huh?

Fael: ...Maybe if i try...

Both Fael and Kael summons their swords.


Hugh: B-But how?

Marie: Ah, of course, if the weapon is part of your spirit, then you can summon it here.

Akina: Magic weapons huh?

Fael: So, who's taking command?

Kael: Today, me, i want to make up for my horrible loss against the Black Phamtom.

Hugh: You fought that thing huh?

Kael: And nearly beat it. So, who here can achieve high speeds?

Fael: Hugh and Thomas.

Akina: And me.

Hugh: You'll go even without a weapon?

Akina: I can do well, i promise. Also, you just said that it is up to the unarmed ones right?

Hugh: Yeah, i said that.

Kael: Fine, Fael, Marie, we'll open a way for those three to enter the castle, there's a chance that it isn't completely inside the castle yet.

Hugh: But, why it's cracking?

Kael: Maybe because...it's reacting to the nightmare as it gets closer, and we have to drive it away NOW!

Marie: Roger! Preparing the Vortex Storm.

Fael: I don't care if it won't work, but i'll use the Cyclonyzed Blade, even if it's just for a little bit, Marie, we'll use a combined attack.

Marie: What?

Fael: Just watch, haaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Fael enters his super mode, then summons a magic circle with a wind symbol on it, he stabs his sword on it and starts spinning like a hurricane, flying at the castle's direction.


Marie: Wow, with that rotation, i can power up my attack, all right, Go Vortex!

Launches the gust of wind at Fael, increasing it's size to former a larger hurrinace.


Kael: All right, with this we can do it.

Fael: Urgh!

Hugh: You sure?

Marie: It's de-powering fast...why?

Thomas: He's getting tired already? He was supposed to be fully recovered by now.

Akina: (If that's the case...then why? I'm not feeling his energy dropping....)

Fael: I....I....

Fael: I won't let this end here!

Music - FIGHT


Fael: Many lives are depending on this! I can't bring myself to fail anymore, not when i fianlly discovered what should i fight for!

Marie: H-His Super-Mode is coming back?

Akina: (Just now....I'm feeling the warmth of his power.)

Fael: HAAAAAAAA! CYCLONIZED BLADE!

Powering himself up again, the size of the tornado increasing again, blowing up some of the mist that was outside, when he stopped, he was surprised with what he did.

**Strike plays again**


Fael: W-what did i...

Hugh: Incredible Fael!

Akina: There's no time to celebrate yet, they worked hard to open a way for our turn to arrive, let's go!

Thomas: Understood.

Hugh: Tch! I'm counting on you guys with this place.

Kael: Roger, Guys, let's make sure that the mist doesn't come back, i'm sure it won't go away with just that, we need to continue attacking. I'll help as well.

Marie: Yes!

Fael: Got it!

Thomas, Hugh and Akina managed to enter the castle, they needed to go to a area where the mist hasn't occupied and start to drive it away from that place. Meanwhile, outside, Fael, Kael and Marie where shooting projectiles to drive the mist away.

Anna: OK, I will stay with them shooting danmaku!

Lilly: Necrox, you and Giovanni will go inside there!

Giovanni: OK! Let's go, Necrox!

Necrox: You don't have to tell me! I'm just thinking about who created this nightmare...

Anna: ... Oh my!! Miss Liebea!!

Lilly: What?! How can you be so sure that it's-

Anna: She said something about making food for us... and she said that the food was one of her brother's favorites!

Lilly: She must have thought about her brother while cooking! Necrox, take them to the kitchen!

Necrox: Ugh!! Remind me to find her brother ASAP when we get back to the real world!!

Lilly nodded and started to shoot arrows as Anna used her heart danmaku. Necrox and Giovanni soon followed Hugh, Thomas and Akina inside the castle. When they got there, the fog was denser than what it looked outside.


Giovanni: Darn, it's even worse inside! How are we going to find it?!

Necrox: Wait! It's... right... here!!

Necrox shot a red beam towards a direction, revealing a way and a door.


Necrox: Anna was dead right about who's been causing the Nightmare! I can feel it from here!

Giovanni: What?! Since when she knew?!

Necrox: It was only a guess, but our friend Liebea is the cause of this. Since she has been separated from her brother, she began to feel despair and sadness ad eventually lose control of her powers..

Giovanni: Then what are we waiting for?! Let's help her!!

Necrox: Hey, that's my line!!

Necrox dashed and barged the door, forcing it open. Giovanni sprinted alongside him.

*BGM fades*

When they entered, the fog was completely dense. It was like the kitchen was pitch black. Then, they heard a voice.

Liebea's Voice: Karl... Karl... is that you...?!

Giovanni: Is that her?!

Necrox: She's still trapped in her Nightmare...
Liebea's Voice: Where are you going?! Karl, please, don't go!!

Giovanni: How... painful... and to think I felt this somehow...

Necrox: Now's not the time to get sad!! Get ready!!

BGM: Delusio Summa

Liebea's Voice: Karl... why... Karl... KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL!!!!!!!!!!

The fog converged and became a single form. It looked like Liebea... but it had no eyes. Her arms were exchanged by giant bones and her hands looked more like claws.

Necrox: Damn!! I didn't knew Liebea was the Rank I!!

Giovanni: What?! What do you mean?!

Necrox: There are nine Nightmares which are classified as the most powerful. We called them the Ranked Nightmares. It goes from the weakest (I) to the most powerful (IX).

Giovanni: So... she's the weakest?

Necrox: Yeah, but don't take her easy! Here she comes!!

Liebea(?) attacked with her left arm, lunging it at them. Giovanni rolled to the left, and Necrox to the right.


Giovanni: Cripes, she broke the ground!!

Necrox: We're already at disvantage of the kitchen being small! Giovanni, shoot at her while I find the time to attack!!

Giovanni nodded, changed his gunblade to gun form and started shooting at Liebea(?). Necrox started to analyze the situation. One miss and they were done for.

Dream Castle - Corridors

**Strike still playing**


Hugh: We found the part that isn't infected with the mist yet. We made it in time.

Akina: (I'm feeling something nearby...is it the dream sprite? We are this close?)

Thomas: Tch, to think a single nightmare would cause this much trouble....

Akina: I wonder if this happens daily, i mean, it's not everytime that we get a blank dream at night. So what if we are not around? Who is the one that takes care of these nightmares?

Thomas: ...

Akina: Nevermind...I'm thinking too much... (But my point still stands...)

Hugh: Anyway, time to drive the mist away from here.

Akina: You're ri-

Suddenly, Akina feels a sharp pain in her head, it was alerting her of the presence of the Rank I.

Music - Invasion


Akina: Aaaaaah!!!! (W-what is this? It's coming from Necrox and Giovanni's position...)

Thomas: Akina? What's wrong?

Akina: (Take a deep breath...it's just a temporary pain.) I'll be fine, i'm going to where Necrox and Giovanni are, can i trust you guys with this place?

Hugh: Sure!

Akina: Then, i'm going.

Akina heads for the kitchen the fastest she could, having a very bad feeling.


Hugh: Now i'm worried...

Thomas: Then do your part! STORM PUNCH!

Hugh: I know! CRASH MACE!

Then, they started to drive the mist away from inside to out.

Dream Real - Dream Castle


Marie: Okay Fael, time to cause a rain of light.

Fael: Got it!

Fael threw Marie at the top of the castle, then soon followed as well with a jump, as they arrived there, Marie had summoned her Mace Funnels.


Marie: I want you to shot your Divine Launcher above you and spread the shots in a way that it will resemble a rain.

Fael: Yes.

Marie: Mace Funnel!

Fael: Divine Launcher!

They both launched their attacks, while Mace Funnel already shot from above, Fael had to shoot his attack above him and make the bullets fall around the castle.


Kael: Our Turn! SOLAR CLAYMORE!

Doing a motion with his sword, Kael summoned two fieballs, and they started to shot heavy balls of fire at the mist.

Dream Castle - Kitchen

BGM: Delusio Summa still playing

Giovanni kept shooting as the Nightmare kept swinging its arms at him.


Giovanni: *rolls* Hey, Necrox! How much you're going to wait?!

Necrox: *sees point* Not anymore!!

He quickly summoned Gae Bolg and slashed through the Nightmare's shoulder, removing one of the arms. Necrox grabbed it in mid-air and swinged it, sending the Nightmare away.


Giovanni: Good one!!

Necrox: Thanks! But we can't fight here, the space is too small.

Giovanni: Then, what we should do now?

The Nightmare grumbled and got up. The arm that Necrox used returned to where it was.


Necrox: I hate to do this, but we have to run!

Giovanni: To where?!

Necrox: The only option is the Dream Depot where the Dream Sprite is!! Now, let's go!!

They ran from the kitchen. A few meters away from it, Giovanni looked back and saw the Nightmare leaving the kitchen and following them. As they progressed, they eventually saw Akina heading their way. Without doubt, Necrox grabbed her arm and pulled her with them.


GiovannI: S-She's right behind us!!

Necrox: Don't speak!! Shoot at it!!

Dream Realm - Outside the Dream Castle

Anna and Lilly kept shooting at all will at the mist. It was clearing out, almost showing the castle. Out of their sights and in silence, part of the remaining mist converged behind Marie and took the form of Liebea.

Lilly: ... AH!! No!!

As Anna shot another heart danmaku, Lilly jumped on it and rided it until she reached Marie. The Nightmare was ready to attack her, but it was hit by an arrow, giving Lilly the time to grab Marie and fly out of the way. She dropped her near the ground and then, the Nighmare was visible.


Anna: Look!! It's... Miss Liebea!!

Lilly: A Nightmare with mind...?! It's a Ranked Nightmare!!

Anna: What does that mean?!

Lilly: The absurd amount of mist inside was a decoy! It's like it was waiting to assault us!!

The Nightmare vanished in mist and reappeared right in front of them.

Liebea's Voice: Karl... where is Karl...?!

Lilly: Right on the spot with that prediction, Anna!

Anna: M-Miss Liebea, it is me, Anna!! Can you hear me?!
Liebea's Voice: Karl... where is Karl?! I want Karl!!

Anna: Please, listen!! You must wake up!! It is for your own good!!
Liebea's Voice: Karl... Karl...!! KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLL!!!

Lilly: It's no use! She's taken by her Nightmare and she can't hear us!!

Anna: Then, what should we do?!

Lilly: Defeat her!!

Lilly shot a big arrow at the Nightmare. Anna started her danmaku shooting. As a response, she used Liebessturm, but instead of water, knives started to fall.


Anna: Ahh!! Knives!!

Lilly: Mace Wall!!!

A wall of maces formed above them. However, Lilly knew that they had to find a way to move, or the maces would hit them.

Dream Castle - Corridors

**Invasion still playing**


Akina: Y-You know, we just met and all, so i think it's too early for us to hold hands.

Akina: NOOO! I mean, I came here worried about you guys and you're dragging me back?

Akina: ...

She started to float, giving the impression Necrox was pulling her without the influnce of gravity or as if she was a plastic bag. Then, she pointed her finger at Liebea(?)


Akina: But, i should look at the good side, it is in nice position for me to hit an attack. WHITE TIGER BLASTER!!!

Out of nowhere, she summons a sphere of energy and transforms it into a massive beam, shoting it at Liebea(?)

Dream Realm - Dream Castle


Fael: Kurgh, i have to get down.

Kael: Stay where you are, i'll need your help with something.

Fael: Okay.

Kael: Does Marie has any homing attack?

Fael: Well, she has the Strike Shields, a move where she can control the turrets direction.

Kael: More than enough, Marie, can you hear me?

Marie: Yes, i'm reinforcing the Mace Wall with my Stalemate. The sound of the knives hitting the shield isn't hindering the hearing.

Kael: Good! Can you launch your strike shields from where you stand?

Marie: I can't exactly aim with the shiled in front of me.

Kael: That's okay, Fael will guide you, just converge the turrets in one point at full force when he gives the signal.

Marie: Okay. Strike Shield! Fire!

She shots her attack foward, making sure they didn't travelled too fast or else she would screw the timing, Fael and Kael both prepared their long range attacks.


Fael: Now! Marie!

Marie: HA!

Marie commanded the shields to strike the point she was commanded too, at the same time, Fael shot a Hi-Ex Launcher while Kael slashed a powerful blast of sunlight while screaming.


Kael: Excalibur Galatiiiiiiiine!

Lilly: Let's follow their attacks! Bubbly Marble!!

Anna: Cupid's Arrow!!

Bubbles rained down upon the Nightmare. With the power of all attacks, plus Anna's small projectile, the Nightmare took form of mist and flied towards the castle.


Anna: It is getting away!!

Lilly: I would say that it's going after the rest of the mist inside!

Anna: Let us go!! After that mist!!

Lilly: (Please, you all inside... clean the mist quickly!!)

Dream Castle - Corridors

BGM: Nightmare Fiction -Remix- starts playing here

Akina's blast made Liebea(?) become a mist. Giovanni tried to shoot it, but he wasn't able to hit. The mist flew fast towards the Main Hall.


Giovanni: It's going to join the other mist!!

Necrox: That means it's getting weaker! Let's hurry and fly after it!

Necrox tossed Akina in the air and then flied afted the mist. His flight made the gravity of the castle reduce a little.


Giovanni; Uh... does he know that we can't fly? Unless...

Giovanni jumped and then, stood still in mid-air. He was flying.


Giovanni: Wow, I can fly! But this isn't the time to be amazed! After Necrox!!

Dream Castle - Corridors

Akina: Okay~! Though, i wonder if i should go back to bring Thomas and Hugh...

Suddenly, she feels a force driving the mist of the corridor away.


Thomas: Okay, only this part remains.

Hugh: Things are going well. We also got this neat ability to fly, which makes movementing easier.

Akina: (If they only knew.)

Thomas: By the way, why are you flying upside down?

Akina: Because i like? (Because Necrox threw me?) Nevermind that, follow us.

Hugh: Yes!

The team follows Necrox and Giovanni to the Main Lobby

Dream Realm - Outside the Castle


Fael: Let's pursue it.

Kael: Fael, try to enter from the rooftop!

Fael: What for?

Kael: We need to surround the nightmare, since it will join with the mist inside.

Fael: Okay. I'm going.

Marie: That's a risky gamble, what are the chances of him appear on the right position for us to surround the nightmare.

Kael: I'm pretty sure they are pretty slim...just how i like it, i don't mind betting on the tought odds. Let's go.

Marie: Y-yes! (This guy is crazy.)

They proceeded to follow Lilly and Anna to the castle, while Fael entered through the roof.

Dream Castle - Main Hall

There wasn't too much of the mist left, but the remaining were being sucked by the Nightmare. Soon, the castle was clear. However, the Nightmare rose once again, this time on his final form. It still had the aspect of being Liebea, but with the two bone arms attached on its back.


Necrox: So... this is the final duel, huh?

BGM: Riders of the Light


Giovanni: Here it goes!! Black Infusion!!

Giovanni got surrounded by a dark aura. He started to shoot dark fireballs at the Nightmare instead of simply bullets.


Necrox: Whoa! I didn't knew you could do that!

Giovanni: Time passes and we discover things we weren't even able to do! I can infuse light and darkness in my soul and change my attributes!

Necrox: Cool! But you're not stealing the spotlight. God Art "Vampire Illusion"!! ((Just to explain, all of Remilia's Spell Cards from EoSD -with a partial exception of Scarlet Meister, Red Magic, and Scarlet Gensokyo- are in Necrox's possession now.))

Necrox shot a fan-oriented formation of bubble danmaku that left a trail of scarlet spheres around the Nightmare. Suddenly, the spheres started to close and hit it. In response, the Nightmare made knives appear out of nowhere, all of them aiming at them. Necrox quickly transformed into a bat as Giovanni jumped at the ground and entered on it. After the attack, Necrox reverted and continued shooting the bubbles. At that time, Lilly and Anna reached them.


Lilly: Necrox!!

Necrox: You guys took your time! C'mon, do your follow-ups!!

Lilly: Sure! It's time that I used my other power! Blue Rose "Beauty of the North"!!

Lilly called a blue rose out of nowhere and blew its petals. The petals became crystals, all aimed and shot at the Nightmare. As soon as they shot and another round of Vampire Illusion occured, Giovanni jumped from the ground and slashed it.


Lilly: WHOA!!

Giovanni: Hi, Lilly!! *enters the ground again*

Lilly: I won't ask now... Anna, give us some aid here!

Anna: Y-Yes, Princess!! (I hope this works...) Broken Faith "Unanswered Romance!! ((I'm not spoiling it, but this is a clone of a Koishi Spell Card in Double Spoiler.))

A trail of purple hearts started to follow Anna as she flied towards the Nightmare. The hearts behind her started to shoot a round of pellets everytime Anna changed her flight direction. Lilly kept blowing petals, Necrox with his bubbles and Giovanni with his surprise slashes.
