Which ruins the fun. Wasn't this about the story of everything, not winning or having things super easy? I believe you were the one that continually repeated- no fun if you can't communicate. For example, my first contact with an alien species started a battle which will eventually destroy all living things on one of my planets.

Also, Darkwolf, I'm going to attack you, after bombarding as much as I could. And the sentience disrupter, when you think about it, disrupts the waves and stuff that make something "think," when there is high-traffic. Now, if you're not sentient, or a creature that isn't very smart and won't adapt well, you'll be immune to it have minor effects. Otherwise, you'll have trouble. Confused-y-ness and the like.

I didnt think the app was finished, if you would kindly repost it so I could review?

Also, never said it was fun if you couldn't communicate. I find it more BS that posts are wasted purely for translating languages. In the end its pointless and needless clog for the thread.

Barely able to communicate, meaning... There is only one type of creature in the species that has the ability to communicate in language but has large difficulty and/or chooses not to. But there are multiples of this creature

Actually a universal translator is pretty BS. We're not meant to intantly know languages, and a Universal Translator is okay, if you have found out the discovery of the language, studied it, and translated it, able to put it into a device. My alien race will mostly be hostile, not hostile to new species at first (giving them a chance or seeing what they are capable of), but they will become offensive out of being defensive. I'm giving opportunity for peace or co-existence instead of fighting, but if people want that, they know what to do

You'd have to know how their mind works in order to manipulate it. Although, I will admit, if you gain one of their intelligent creatures, and are able to manipulate them without breaking any game functions, you can get them to communicate. However, you'll be talking to unintelligent underling infants if you try it on any of the other lesser species counter-part

Name of nation: Known to only themselves as, and translated to "The Convergence"
Species: Widely called the "Esurienti"

Esurienti are mutated versions of themselves that evolved to adapt to their "brethren" and new-found abilities. The mutations and evolution's caused them to be almost completely related species wise, but their bodies gradually "deforming" or changing due to the genetics. Their original homeworld died of it having too much natural radioactivity which forced them to evolve or die, the mutations just got mixed into it. They all are born from a central "Hive" which can dig into a planet and become an underground home, or can force itself through orbit into space and travel, allowing their survival. The different groupings of the species all come in the same or similar appearance, shape and size. Like ants to their Queen, they are extremely minor differences, but they are more or less 'clones,' as if to say, meaning appearance wise.

Some are blind, some can survive a time without breathing, some have chemical weapons that cause severe damage to mechanical and organic alike. Their only technology lies within their bodies, but that doesn't stop them from becoming a threat to something greater. While being forced to evolve in a dying world, the mutation grabbed a hold of them and now they can evolve much more quickly. Not to like, evolve its size twenty feet or instantly grow extra limbs, but it can heal in a quick amount of time to physical damage and any chemical weapons they have, can increase in one way or another to be effective against an enemy -- they are also smarter than they appear due to this, and learn quickly as well.

Alongside this, they can not live by themselves. They either require their "Head" (The intelligent creatures put into a leading position) or at the very least, a Hive. Without either of these, they will begin to spiral out of control and lash out at anything and starve themselves until death. They are physically and mentally very weak creatures. But what they make up for in weakness, they make up for in numbers.

Description of government: Hive Mind

The prime value is loyalty to the community as a whole – individual expression and freedom is suppressed for this greater common good. A (Translated)Praefectus is the most intelligent creature of the entire Esurienti, able to take direct control of any Esurienti at any point in time within a certain distance telepathically, or even multiple. This is not required as if a Praefectus gives a demand, all Esurienti listen and obey. Praefectus' are not usually in large numbers, they are usually singled to a single Praefectus that organically attaches itself to a Hive and through that they are able to directly control or give demands to multiple upon multiple of Esurienti and other Hives with a range of almost a billion kilometers. Large numbers of Praefectus can be used when invading multiple planets when there are not many Hives to use. A Praefectus is considered "higher" than a Hive, even though Esurienti can not reproduce without a Hive. But when there is no Praefectus, a Hive can take control. Although much less intelligent, almost nearing the intelligence of other lesser Esurienti. Praefectus also do not require being produced from the Hive they are controlling, nor even need to meet before hand. Praefectus' treat Hives as humans treat cars. Any Praefectus can hop in and take control no matter what.

There is no council, or senate, or anything like that. It's either all controlled by a Praefectus, a Hive when a Praefectus is absent, or a "Head" Praefectus when there are multiple.

Description of military: The Military structure of The Convergence is itself. It is military, it is civilian, it is everything.

Hives
Hives are nearly considered Dreadnought sized, ranging anywhere from 1,000 kilometers to 3,000 kilometers (The shorter it is, the shorter its maximum telepathic range. Max being almost a billion kilometers), "ships," or transports. They breed (better term being mass produce) thousands of Esurienti at a time, able to stop or start at will, but can not do so without at least a stop on a planet where they dig into the ground, bury themselves, and feed off of the nutrients in the planet. They can not drain an entire planets nutrients or even harm it unless there is a large number of them, but the planet must have a large enough dirt and crust layer to hold them. They have no weapons, but their original ability to be able to land egg pods onto a planets surface to clear an area and make it safe for landing has also been adapted into use as a weapon throughout the time of finding hostile ships in space. It is able to launch several hundred egg pods which hit like an asteroid at a time in rapid succession at enemy ships, either barraging shields, or crashing into ship hulls; where they either crash through, hatch inside, and attack those inside, or hatch outside, and start attacking the hull from the outside. That, or a Hive can just sprout its large gaping mouth and clamp or bite down (and attempt to chew) on the enemy ships. Hives are considered the Esurienti homes. They don't live in caves, or holes in the dirt, they live and infest a Hive as if they were its blood and guts.

Pugnators
The most common creature group any individual may discover. They are considered the drones of the Esurienti and the most produced. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, this is the Esurienti to see. Standard carapace armor, Dumbest of the lot and only second in the most barbaric of the species. Although not blind, the only things they know how to do without guidance is maim, eat, and scavenge. They do little else without being told what to do. Armed with scythe-like claws and sharp mandibles and fangs, they can pretty much take almost any blunt damage without problem (presuming it isn't larger than them or heavier than them), but are unable to really defend themselves against hard and sharp projectiles or sharp melee weapons. Heavy blunt melee weapons are still able to either kill them or knock them out with mental or internal damage; still fragile. They are essentially the local militia, guarding home points or being the bulk of an army.

Plaeriques
The second most common Esurienti, however not in mass numbers. They are usually found in "squad groupings." acting similar to raptors or wolves, they are twitchy, hostile, and intimating, or make themselves that way. As if being miniature raptors, they act like mindless killing machines, they they have self control. They do not kill unless ordered to, or when there's nothing left to do. The most they do is attempt at scaring off another creature through hissing or physical threats and running, or just simply hiding out of sight until its time to strike and then use a hit and run tactic to debilitate its foe. Whether in war or not, they act as scouting parties to gain information for The Convergence of other species and areas. In times of war they could be considered specialists. Equivalents of ninja's, spies, assassins, they are quiet, stealthy, and the most capable of getting behind enemy lines. Armed with their insanely fast reflexes, they have their claws and horns, and not to mention a devastating and brutal head butt. (The head-butting technique is similar to a Pachycephalosaurus)

Tormenta's
Derived from the word "Torment" to be a "tormentor," these creatures could be considered the most "civilized." If not ordered into war, they usually laze about and do as Hives do when not traveling; They will bury themselves into the ground, keeping their head sprouted out, and take in nutrients from the ground. They are not aggressive, and don't even attack until told to. They usually lay dormant. But if they are woken up, startled, or threatened, they will casually unsprout, turn in the opposite direction of the other creature, and leave. Sometimes they will wonder near other creatures and not even seem to care about its existence. They pretty much keep this attitude in war, however, their tactics are much difference. In what is perceived as its "head," is actually its weapon. Its "brain" is actually at the base of its body. The head is like a volcano, able to open and close at will and it houses a monstrous concoction. It's like chemical artillery. Sometimes its combustible, sometimes it melts like acid, or it can even become kinetic energy, all in the form of an artillery bomb or shell style. They are called Tormenta's for being uncaring as they lay down devastating fire from afar. Their max range being five miles (or almost 10,000 kilometers). Some say they have an intelligence higher than most Esurienti, but still less than a Praefectus', but not enough intelligence to be too smart. Out of war, they act as silent sentries without the weaponry or hostility.

Praefectus'
Essentially the "Hive Mind," the leader, the giver, the commander and essentially 'owner.' The most intelligent of the creature groups within the Esurienti, able to telepathically control any amount of Esurienti directly or just with orders within fifty feet, or almost a billion kilometers depending on if they are attached to a Hive and whether the Hive is large or small. They can link their minds directly with the Hives and also control it, they are the universal car key to all the vehicle Esurienti. It's only completely known weapon is brute force physical damage, but some sightings have said it controls an acid spewing weapon. Where other Esurienti fail, one of these coming in to assume direct control can take down almost any defense. Control from a Hive is hindered, controlled directly from a Praefectus in range, there is nothing an Esurienti can't do. Extremely rare, but the most deadly of all Esurienti. They've been known to always run in the sense of danger, but any cornered will not huddle as it is killed, they fight harshly all the way to the end. No armor at all, but it is known they are full of pressurized acid, and any severe punctures could cause it to burst, the range of its acid explosion being upwards of ten to twenty feet,

Delebimus'
Derived from what rumor to sound like "Deliver us," a scary story to tell children, saying that it is what enemies that see this monstrosity scream in their heads. Calling it the Deliverer, its job is to destroy. Destroy everything in its path. Some say ten, others say twenty, times larger than any other Esurienti (Think the Cloverfield monster in terror comparison, but it's only 100 feet or so tall at max height). It's so rare its stated to be a fake rumor, just the bed time story, it was seen only once and it fulfilled its job. These giants are literally birthed from Hived in the exact manor of the word; birthed. A Hive that has been commanded to birth a Delebimus must be firmly dug into a planet. It can never rise again and from the start and after the birth, it can never produce any other Esurienti. It kills the Hive, and leaves behind a carcass. It is fast, it is strong, it is relentless. Once birthed, it either searches for the first Praefectus it can find, or the first fight it finds involving Esurienti. It's carapace armor is more dense than a hundred Esurienti put together in one spot, in comparison, it is able to get back up after being thrown down by a WW2 105mm shell without a dent. They fight until they die, and they die if there is no fighting. They are fragile internally and have a limited lifespan, the adrenaline chemicals in them able to keep them alive until the fighting is over. Upon death, many Esurienti tend to cannibalize its remains, which they do not do to other Esurienti.

Technological Overview: The technology level of The Convergence lies within their genes and their capabilities. Chemical weapons mostly gain from this as the chemical properties can change almost at will. As the mutations mixed in with their evolution's and adaptability, mostly they can think, get smarter, and learn, very quickly.

Cultural Overview:
The prime value is loyalty to the community as a whole – individual expression and freedom is suppressed for this greater common good.

In Hive Minds all work is divided among distinct social castes. Some castes are responsible for food production, others for defense, while others care for administration, ven reproduction is specialized to a small caste, with one or more “queens” producing each new generation.

History:

The Convergence is usually only attracted to war. While they are always searching for more homes to inhabit and wanting to learn and discover other species and their abilities, they are slightly corrupted in their ways. They are attracted to war like a pheromone and love to observe it. While it is not always a goal, they are not afraid of it and will act in it if they feel threatened. They are not really the type to join or form an alliance, but co-existence is something they have the ability to do. But they have always went to where the wars were had, or are being had.

In their earlier lifespan on their original homeworld, they were less of a hostile species, and more of a docile but defensive sort of species. They were really the lesser species of their homeworld, easily taken down by hungry and fight-worthy predators or succumbing to illness or injuries very quickly. It is said that their weaknesses stay with them, not the illnesses, due to their mutations and adaptability speed, they can overcome almost any disease. But their physical stability is always threatened. Any blunt force trauma delivered to where the brain is located, and they could be knocked out, or even worse, have near-permanent mental disabilities, would cause them to be weeded out by their brethren.

Their old homeworld died, erupting into itself from natural disaster due to extreme radiation and internal instabilities.

They have ventured into this space for a new home, and new knowledge.

The Draconians were more creative. They would break into all your files, read them like the NSA reading all the weird-ass stuff Americans look up, piece everything together by comparing them from what they know of other races and their own, and then maybe plant a few spywares, a couple adwares, maybe, and then go ahead and say "YOU WILL BE TESTED!" and then they'll shoot you.

Better than questioning everything and being like you. It's part of the story, ASTA, remember? Being peaceful all the time with everyone isn't good for a story; there has to be SOMETHING. My race just happens to be the first to encounter one of the primary antagonists of the roleplay.

magic is great and all, but being able to do stuff really quickly does kinda ruin things. Read minds? Communicate instantly? Control the weather? What would take years to develop the technology to do something is done in a heartbeat by a race that has been gifted by the gods. That's no fun. My people have gods, but there is next to no interaction between the two, besides all of them believing in the three.
