Sophie moaned in her sleep, the bracelet burning her. She stirred in pain, moving to try to escape but unable to.

Valgius, meanwhile, was struggling to regain control of his limbs, but he seemed to be unable to move. Valgius growled in frustration. Nothing he did worked...

Sophie stirred and slowly came back to consciousness. She moaned in pain as she sat up, trying to hold herself together. She saw Valgius and almost collapsed again.
"Valgius... Help..." She managed to get out.

Valgius tried moving, still unable to. "Damn it! I can't!" Valgius said, still struggling. "I tried to remove your bracelet... and it flung me back!" Valgius said. He couldn't even use Focus... he was helpless... Valgius growled in frustration. He hated being helpless... but he was.

Sophie collapsed, screaming in pain as she hit the hard floor as hard as she could. She tried to push the bracelet of herself but it burned her fingers. She felt tears drip off her cheeks to the floor. She could still barely breathe and she was losing blood rapidly.

Valgius felt tears in his eyes. He couldn't even blink to stop them, and the ran down his face. All he could do, was lay on his side, tears streaming down his mask. His voice was no longer his. Valgius then realized... whatever he'd tried to do to that bracelet, there must've been something that stopped him from removing it... and possibly it'd kill him? Valgius, however, couldn't even warn Sophie.

The dark figure reappeared by the girl, gasping for her breath. He grabbed her arm and she struggled. He placed a knife by her neck.
"Hush now..." He whispered to her. She struggled and rolled away from him. She got up onto her feet and glared at him.
"You! Give me! The Focus!" She shouted, pointing at the stone in his hand. He laughed at her. She gelt anger flare up inside her and a surge of power.
"Flaming Havoc!" She yelled as a flaming wind blasted its way, making the figure drop the stone. He disappeared and Sophie picked up the stone. She tried to make it's power work but failed. She ran to Vslguis and knelt beside him.
"It doesn't work Valgius!" She cried at him.

Valgius saw what had happened. He tried pleading her with his eyes, indicating that it had to make contact with him. He wasn't sure if she got the message. Meanwhile, his entire body was wracked in pain, and he could hardly breathe. Tears flowed freely now as Valgius kept trying to signal Sophie with his eyes, the only thing he was till able to move.

Sophie watched his tears, almost in tears herself. She gently placed the stone into his hand, hopimg it would help him.

Valgius sighed in relief, as the felt the stone start to merge into his body. His eyes briefly flickered red, before returning to normal. Dark Energy lifted Valgius up. When the energy dispersed, Valgius collapsed to his hands and knees, sucking in air like it had gone out of style. "Thanks..." he said. He then stood up. "Ugh... that bracelet... doesn't like my Focus..." Valgius said. He shook his head. "And it didn't work for you because of that... I get the feeling that you might only be able to learn the basic four... though whether you even need Focus is something I'm beginning to question..." Valgius said. He shook his head. "Now.. to find my sword..." Valgius said. He surveyed the area. This cavern had revealed to be inside a larger one. Valgius stumbled towards a large chest. He opened it, and reached in. He then pulled out something that Sophie didn't see. "At long last..." Valgius said, turning around to show her the Eagle Blade, its hilt extracted to where it was before. "The Eagle Blade..." Valgius said.

Sophie turned around to the Valgius facing away from her. She stepped up behind him, her wrist still burning. She saw the sword in him hand and sighed. She was glad that was over.
"You know, it just looks like a normal sword to me..." She muttered behind him before reaching up wrapping her arms around his neck. "We can get out of here now, right?" She asked before almost silently moving up and pulling him into a kiss.

Valgius barely had time to nod before Sophie kissed him. He smiled. "Here... take my hand." he said to her, his body wracked with pain. "We won't have to worry about walking back to Kurisutaru. Since I've been there, I can teleport us there." Valgius told her. He did neglect to mention that he'd be utterly exhausted from the effort, but he didn't really wanna worry Sophie anymore. Besides, she had her own things to think about.

Sophie took his hand gently and smiled at him.
"I love you," She told him, waiting for him to take them both home, where she belonged. Although he didn't, he did to her because no matter what she'd always love him and would never want to see him leave.

Valgius, however, missed those three little words, as he activated his Focus. The two would feel the sensation of being squeezed through a really tight tube, though the feeling was normal for Valgius. When they reappeared, they were at the Shinboru, where Valgius collapsed from pure exhaustion. A few guards heard the commotion, and saw the two injured. One of them ran back to inform the Kuri Royal Family, while the other two approached Sophie. "You two alright?" the guard asked. All the guards had been told to keep an eye out for the two.

Sophie knelt besides Valgius.
"Valgius...? What's wrong?" She asked. She watched him, not wanting him to be so exhausted. Then she remembered all of her own injuries and suddenly went really faint.
"Ugh..." She moaned, trying to keep herself upright by holding on to Valgius.

The guard that had ran back to the castle returned with more guards, a few of which were carrying stretchers. The guards loaded Valgius on first, followed by Sophie, ignoring any attempts she might have made to escape. This time, the guards didn't disarm the two, but carried them to the castle's hospital.

A few hours later, Valgius stirred. The first thing his eyes saw as he opened them was a very fancy dress. When Valgius had his eyes open completely, he saw the Princess looking down at him, her face full of concern. Valgius looked down, and saw his body was covered in burns, his scars now vividly white against the charred skin. He shook his head, trying to sit up.

"You mustn't push yourself." the Princess said. Valgius shook his head. "Believe me, Your Highness, I've been hurt worse." Valgius said, finally managing to get himself propped against the bed. "Please, don't be so formal with me." the Princess told him. "My name is Rozarain." Valgius shook his head. "Sorry, Your Highness... but I can't just call you by your name..." Valgius said, his voice still giving away his exhaustion. Before he could protest, the Princess leaned in and kissed him. When they separated, the Princess smiled. "See? Now, was that hard?" she asked. Valgius shook his head. "Not for you... but next time you do that, warn me so I can get out of the way..." Valgius said. The Princess stood up. "Valgius! I'll have you one way... or another." she said, storming out of the room. Valgius shook his head. "Great... I just hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the rear..." he muttered.

Sophie watched it all through the doorway. She felt tears in her eyes as she watched that Princess kiss Valgius. She left the doorway and walked down the hallway, back to the room she'd been staying in. She slammed the door shut and slumped down, her back against it. She shook her head, tears falling down her face.
"That bitch!" She shouted before slamming her fist into the wall beside her. She sat back and let tears fall down her face.

When Sophie hit the wall, a medic ran in, until he saw she was crying. He approached her. "Something wrong, ma'am?" he asked. He was examining her medical chart, which showed that her injures were actually minor. He shook his head. "I've also been told that you can go at any time you wish. Your friend has to stay, though... He's sustained major internal injuries in addition to various burns and cuts." the doctor said.

Sophie shook her head.
"i just want to be alone." She told the medic. The medic left the room, leaving her by herself. She sat and cried for a bit, before wanting to do something. She wanted to get revenge, somehow. But yet, she couldn't find the will to move or even stop the tears falling down her face.

The medic simply nodded at the reply. "As I've said, you are free to leave at any time." the medic said, leaving.

Manwhile, Valgius was still having difficulty trying to get up. He managed to stand upright, but a pain in his side caused him to collapse, which caused more pain. Valgius yelled, unable to keep the pain back. Three medics rushed past Sophie's room, and saw Valgius on the floor. One of the medics went to go get a doctor, while the others helped Valgius back in bed.
