I've recently dug out my old PS2 and in doing so, returned to the colorful but dangerous world of dot hack. I've beaten the first four games (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine) as well as G.U (as its trilogy). Having been playing both again, it makes me want to do a roleplay based on it, or in the world itself. I wouldn't mind trying SIGN or Liminality or Quantum but to be honest, my heart truly lies with the first four games. It's an epic long shot because the games are quite old and finding anyone who has played them or at least watched some play through online, is rare. If you did want to check out some youtube play throughs, I'd recommend Naka's videos. He's pretty informative and moves things along nicely.

We can use OCs or canons or possibly a mix.

In terms of plot, I assume we'd mimic one of the games but adjust for our characters if needed.

In terms of posting level, I'd love someone high casual and above. Meaning someone who can post at least three paragraphs regularly. Doubling might add more fun and if we do, I expect double the amount of content and effort but we might not need to. Now I've heard annoying chit chat of SAO and from what I hear, it's similar to dot hack but doesn't come close, so please don't come here if you're A) going to talk my ear off about it (being a die hard dot hack/CC.Corp fan, you may as well talk to a wall) and/or B) try to relate dot hack to it because again, I'll have NO clue what you're going on about. This is about dot hack, nothing else.

I've only gotten to play a little of one of the dot hack games, courtesy of a friend and he also gave me a season of the anime... So, my knowledge is limited but I did LOVE what little of the game I got to see and enjoyed the anime very much. I don't suppose you'd take on someone who might need a little help with the lore? This is what little I know:

dot.hack// is a popular game set up to be a sort of virtual world where players actually get to step into their characters shoes with the help of nifty new tech. Unfortunately, (in the anime I got to see) some people tend to get stuck inside and are unable to get back out. It plays like most online multiplayer games... There are Moderators, Admins, Summoners, Rogues, Warriors, and all those other classes you usually would find. There are dungeons you play through but the world is basically free roam with monsters lingering about...

Do I have the important bits and is my knowledge off, it has been a while?
