I'm heading to your wonderful country, Amsterdam specifically (i know, don't belly-ache me), and i'd love some advice from people who live in the city or just have visited a lot.

The main thing is, i feel like i should make an effort to learn some Dutch so any useful phrases would be cool. 'Do you speak English?' for example, i don't really know what else...Maybe 'where is the nearest coffee shop?' which leads me to my next question. Where would you recommend to go in Amsterdam? I know there are some amazing museums and stuff about but where is the best night life and where can i get my best smoke on? Any other useful tips regarding accommodation (or if someone wants to put me up for 3 nights hehe) or the country would be fab too.

Just wear a bunch of marijuana leaf covered clothing and be really loud and upfront that the only reason you're there is to smoke a shitload of pot. They won't mind, they love that the primary reason anyone wants to go to Amsterdam is because it's totally easy weed central and will happily accommodate you.

Yeah, that's true. It's very similar to America in that weed is only really smoked by lower class citizens or students. There is a much bigger beer culture than there is a weed culture.
