Amanda smiled, and nodded. ''Keeping its length, alright then.'' She mumbled, and continued to run the brush through his hair. ''My name is Amanda.'' She answered, and grabbed the scissors, as he let out a rumble, she giggled. ''I thought only cats like it when people touch their hair.'' She commented, running her hand through his hair this time, before pushing his head slightly to the front. ''Stay still.'' She mumbled, and began working through his hair, moving his head as she worked all around his hair. When she was done, she brushed through his hair once again, and tapped his shoulder. ''I am done!'' She exclaimed, and stood up, dusting herself off. ''I think I pretty much did a good job-- as expected.'' She said, flipping her long hair off her shoulder with a smile, before dusting off his shoulders as well. His hair was indeed cleanly trimmed, of course it got slightly shorter, but in the same length range. She leaned in again, and adjusted his hair. ''Why do you keep it long anyway? Aren't you supposed to have some sort of short hair cut to become a teacher?'' She asked, as she continued to play with his hair, almost as if she didn't notice. ''It is soft too.'' She added, and pulled back.

Jason laughed out loud instead of his low chuckles, as she kept up with him. He didn't move as she advanced closer to him. ''I know you don't have a choice, but neither does Amanda, and you rubbed it in her face. It's payback, sweetie.'' He said, and smirked, as she continued to explain the whole situation. ''Awww, so you poor little thing are stuck with some alpha for the rest of your life? I can kill you, and that would be a lot easier.'' He added, as he realized she didn't know Adam was her fiance she was assigned to marry. He chuckled as she began walking away, his cold hand instantly held into her wrist, feeling her pulse under his hand, and pulled her back. This time she was cornered between his feet. ''And you're shy too, how adorable.'' He added, his hand falling off her wrist, his eyes darkened slightly, as his desire grew, and the feeling of her warm breath, and pulse close by didn't help. This time he walked away from her, and began pacing around. ''And I don't know how long Amanda is going to stay mad, damn it.'' He mumbled, more to himself than to anyone else.

Him? A cat? "I am a wolf, not a cat." He informed her just as his head got pushed forward. Yet, it still felt good to feel her fingers running through his hair only this time he kept his content noises to himself. Adam was so relaxed while she was cutting his hair that her voice telling him she was done startled him. His head shoot up and his eyes instantly scanned the room for danger, all of his senses on high alert. After a few seconds the panic died down and he allowed himself to take a deep breath as he turned his head to look at her. "I'm sure you did a great job." he assured her softly. With that comment he stood up in one fluid motion and walked a few steps away from her. "I keep it long because it was how I was raised. Men had long hair when I was born. It was the fashion." He shrugged as he turned back to face her. "I guess you could say my reputation speaks more volumes then my hair. Maybe a little bit of an alpha push when I first started teaching." He reached up behind his head and pulled his hair back into a ponytail. "Why did you stay with your friend if you already knew he was using you?" He asked gently.

"Amanda does have a choice." Avril comment as she tried to regain her thoughts, as to not give anything away to him. "She can choose not to stay with you and be your blood bag." A gasp escaped her lips before she could stop it. Jason's fingers were like ice on her skin and sent shivers down her back. His proximity was both uncomfortable and exciting. Never had she been so close to a vampire before, and while she was slightly scared of him she also found their feisty conversation to be intriguing. Stop thinking! She scolded herself mentally, knowing full and well that he was reading her every thought and emotion. At least it kept her on her feet in the conversation because she had to be mindful of not only her body language and words but also her thoughts. She was trying to appear relaxed in the midst of being encircled by him. I am not shy! She pushed the thought to the forefront of her mind, in a curious attempt to see what he would do if she started to talk to him in her head. Next thing she knew, he was pushing her back and walking away from her. With a cocky grin she took his place sitting on the desk and watching him pace. "Are you uncomfortable now? Now you are the one being shy." She said with a smugness in her voice. "What will you do now? No one to feed on, I guess you will actually have to actually make an effort for your food now." She leaned back with her hands behind her to support her weight. A smirk was still present on her face as she watched him continue to pace.

Amanda titled her head slightly, and watched as his arms moved back to put his hair in a ponytail, almost instantly she bit down her bottom lip, stopping anything stupid from slipping out. ''How old are you exactly? Because men had long hair from way-- I mean way back, so tell me when exactly were you born? Are you guys immortal like vampires too?'' She asked, hopping up on his desk. She giggled. ''Well, glad you could make it here, and teach us, I am sure it will be an interesting semester.'' She said, offering him a soft smile. What he asked next, made the smile off her lips, and she instantly lowered her head. She gulped softly. ''Uhm.'' She mumbled, fiddling with the ends of her sweatshirt slightly. ''Because I have no one else? Because he was the only one to be okay with me being around? I don't really know why, but it was fun having someone around.'' She added, wiping her tear stained face, rubbing her eyes in attempt to stop her self from crying.

Jason was smiling the whole time as Avril had a hard time being so close to him, but he didn't comment, and before he could continue his plan by making her uncomfortable. He looked back at her. ''Yes I am very shy, but you also smell-- like a wet dog. It isn't nice, your perfume also interferes with the smell-- It is weird.'' He explained. ''I can find my own food, I can feed off you right now, but your lover, Adam, will end up killing me, so it is not worth it I suppose.'' He added, and finally stopped pacing around. ''Erase that smug look off your face at least I am not an Omega that is traded in between packs, or whatever. At least I don't obey just /any/ alpha.'' He said, almost as if he was scolding.

Everyone was interested in his age. They never could let it go. "I am old enough to know better and young enough to not give a d**n." He told her in a flat tone. "We are not exactly immortal like vampires but in a way we are. Our wolves keep us from aging or becoming sick. However, we can still be killed like a normal human or if we decide to stop changing then we will grow old and die in a normal life span. I have lost too many good men to count because they decided to stop changing all on the account of a woman. I have never lost a female that way. Guess it goes to show women are smarter...." Adam trailed off as he realized he was rambling. "Old enough." He said again as if to re answer her question. What was it about her that made his tongue so lose? It was almost as if he could sit down and tell her his life story. It was more then a little unsettling.

Tilting his head, Adam listened to Amanda's answer. After her few comments and nervous reactions, Adam walked up to her, put two fingers under her jaw and tilted her face up to look at him. It was his intent to tell her how much she was worth. That she did not deserve to be a blood bag, no one deserved that. Then he realized that he could not tell her such things. He did not know her, therefore he refused to pretend that he did. Promises of her being someone worthy to be around was not his to give. Instead he slid his thumb under each of her eyes, wiping away her tears, then pulled her gently into a hug.

With a roll of her eyes, Avril ignored his comment about her smell. His comment about her lover, however, made her pull up one side of her upper lip away from her teeth in a growl of warning. "I do not have a lover. Much less Adam!" she spat the words from behind her teeth. Then his comment began to slowly sink in. Jason was a mind reader, he knew about her arranged marriage... She was engaged to Adam?! "Son of a..." she mumbled under her breath. "Adam the Marrok..." She was to marry Adam? She truly did jump out of the frying pan and into the fire now. Jason's last comment made her look back up at him, a flash of anger and sadness gleaming in her eyes. "You know what? Your right." She got of the desk ans stalked towards him. "At least you are not an Omega. Your free to do what ever you please! Are you just so lucky that you don't have to obey any kind of rules." She stopped just a hairs breath away from him, tilting her head up to look at him. "So just soak it in! Gloat if you want to! Because even though I have to /obey/ any alpha, at least I have people that will always have my back and that is more then you will ever get!" She stared up at him as if daring him to do something.

Amanda listened to his rambling, and a smile was on her face, as she realized she could sit there and listen to his whole life story and not get bored. He was interesting, just like any other-- creature. She didn't get to know Jason's whole story, but that was because he was stubborn, but it seemed easier to get it out of Adam, and she planned to do just so. As he asked his question, she became nervous, what if he thought she was weak? Or-- some pathetic human. As he came closer, her nervousness only grew. She looked up at him, shivers running down her body as his fingers rested under her jaw. She stared up at him for what seemed like an hour, soft tears slipping down her cheeks. A blush colored her cheeks, as he pulled her into a hug. She was stiff for a few seconds, then her arms wrapped around his bigger figure, bringer her smaller torso closer to his. As her head rested on his shoulder. ''Thank you.'' Came out her weak voice after what seemed like a minute or two.

Jason watched as Avril began understanding all the hints he had been throwing out there. He smiled slightly, as she continued to reason with herself. ''See, running away didn't do you any good.'' He said, and before he could reply, she was closer than before. He raised an eyebrow, and listened to her carefully. ''You're right. I am as you call it-- a lone wolf. So what? At least I am free. And I can protect myself, I can kill if it gets that bad. You have a lot more than I will ever have.'' He said, and wrapped his arms around her, slipping his belt off. ''See you later, Avril.'' He said, as he began walking away, slipping his belt back on. ''Good luck'' He mumbled one last time, and slammed the door behind him. He was angry, really angry, only because he knew one thing-- she was right, very right.

Adam held her for a few seconds before her arms wrapped around him. She felt small and innocent in his arms, like the slightest wrong movement and he could break her. In a way, it made him feel slightly protective. "You're welcome." He whispered back, and planted a small kiss on the top of her head, After holding her for a few long moments he pulled back, slowly dislodging himself from her grip. The silence that followed was both awkward and comfortable. Awkward because Adam had no idea what to say or do, a first for him, and comfortable because nothing really needed to be said. "We should probably go back. I need to get Avril back to my house." he finally broke the silence after what seemed like forever. With a decision in mind, he turned on his heels and headed for the door.

Why was it that she always found herself standing a hair's breath away from Jason? It seemed to be her favorite place to stand. She stood there, listening to him get angry, not knowing what to do to stop it. "Jason..." she started about the time his arms wrapped around her waist. Her voice and heart stopped as his breath slid against her cheek. "I didn't mean..." she turned as he stormed to the door. "Jason, I'm sorry!" she called just as the door slammed. Avril stared at the door for several long moments, then pulled Adam's coat around her tiny frame and hugged herself. Since when did she care what a vampire thought? With a sigh she sat down at one of the desks. Now to wait for Adam to some let her out of the cage he made for her.

Amanda's cheeks grew redder when he planted a kiss on the top of her head, a smile breaking on her tear stained face. She looked up at him, with begging eyes as he began to pull himself away from her. She eventually slipped her arms off his torso, she looked down at her sleeves, biting her lower lips. ''Uhm, yeah sure.'' She said, and got off the desk. She picked up her bag from the floor, and hurried behind him. ''I think I am going to go to my next class, it is starting in about fifteen minutes. Thank you Mr. Adam.'' She called out behind him, and walked to the other way to her next class, hoping to avoid Jason.

Jason continued walking off, as he heard Avril apologize, but didn't turn back. When he was far enough, he couldn't hear her thoughts any longer. He ran his hand through his hair, and bumped into a familiar body. His arms instantly wrapping around her to stop her from falling down. ''Amanda..'' He said, and she looked dumbfounded. ''Uhm, excuse me I need to get to class.'' She mumbled, and pulled away from him, she looked slightly scared. ''You smell like a wet dog.'' He mumbled, and Amanda shot him a warning look, before starting to walk away. ''Amanda! I promise I won't bite you again! Don't leave me alone!'' He called out behind her, which caused a few people to look at them. ''I am a sex monkey, do you mind?'' He hissed as he looked at a group of girls that were staring at him, and all they did was giggle and walk off. Jason rolled his eyes, and kept up with Amanda. ''Don't talk about it again, and you are not getting anything either.'' She mumbled, and Jason was aware she was dead serious.

Adam gave Amanda one last smile and then headed back towards the classroom. Only fifteen minutes until the next class, he needed to get a half dressed Avril out of the classroom. Stopping by the lost and found in the campus library, Adam picked up a pair of shorts and a t-shirt that was about the size of Avril then marched into the classroom and handed her the clothing items. "Get dressed." he told her simply.

Avril glanced up as Adam entered. As much as she wanted to tell him no, she couldn't. With a sigh, she put on the clothes and threw his jacket at him. "When were you going to tell me?" she asked crossing her arms.

"Not now, Avril." Adam sighed running his hand over his face.

Avril stood her ground. "Yes, now! When did you figure out we were to be married?"

Adam turned to her, his eyes turning yellow. "I said, not now!" he growled, making Avril wimper under the weight of his Alpha command. "Let's go." His eyes faded back to normal as he gestured towards the door. Avril walked up to him and tilted her head back to look up into his eyes. For a moment she just stood there, then she raised her arm and slapped him across the face, hard enough that the sound ecoed through the silent classroom. With a huff she turned on her heel and left the room knowing he wouldn't give her orders in front of humans.

On her way out of the building, she passed by Amanda and Jason. Anger still boiled inside of her while mind kept going over the way she just slapped Adam. She looked over at Jason with a murderous glean in her eyes, but kept moving. Adam followed behind her silently, making sure to keep his mind quiet except for a low growl of warning that came from the angered wolf inside of him.

Jason stared at Avril as she passed by, and he didn't appreciate the glance she threw at him as he hissed slightly. Amanda looked back to Avril, and Adam, she waved at Adam slightly in attempt to lighten the tense mood in between the couples. Jason scowled. ''For f**k's sake, are you really befriending the dog?'' He asked, crossing his arms. Amanda blinked, and looked back up at Jason. ''At least he doesn't want anything from me. He doesn't /need/ anything or rather something in particular from me. I think that makes him good enough to befriend him.'' She spit out, and began walking away to their next class. Jason stared at Adam, and Avril's retreating backs, and only rolled his eyes as he followed behind Amanda. He only had to bare with Amanda's anger state for a while, he was sure she was going to come around. And although her mind spoke nothing around him at the moment, he knew she was going to come around, and fall right at his feet-- once again. At least he hoped so.

After four more hours, that included a couple more lectures, and lunch break in between.
''I am going home early.'' Amanda said, as she gathered her things.

''It's a little sunny still, stay for a while.'' He said, with a smile, that seemed forced and rehearsed.

Amanda was clearly still mad at him.''I have better things to do, you go find another meal for dinner while you hang out in the library, ha.'' She said, as if she was suggesting, but sarcasm was dripping out of her full lips.

Before more words could be spoken, she walked off, leaving him being. Knowing Amanda, Jason groaned--quite loudly, and made his way to the library. Jason could only wait for a certain limit, and he knew how well he effected Amanda, so it wasn't going to take long. Almost all the college was filling out, while Amanda made her way to Adam's office. She only wanted to thank him without being a total mess, and crying. She knocked the door, and slipped inside. ''Professor?'' She said, trying to catch his attention. She gave him a soft smile. her face was washed now, all the make-up has been removed, and only traces of eyeliner were around her eyelids. ''I am sorry for breaking down on you earlier, and thank you very much.'' She said, lowering her head slightly. '' Good luck with whatever problem you got as well.'' She added, she looked a little nervous, and embarrassed as she stood there.

The pack practically ran out to met them as Adam drove up. The whole way there, Avril stared out the window in silence. Adam wasn't sure what to make of her absentees, or her slap, but he honestly did not have the mental energy to deal with it. "I have to get back to school." he told her and the pack as he parked his truck and got out.

"Yeah, whatever." Avril got out of the truck and started for the house before turning back to Adam. "You are no better then my father, whom you despise." She told him with a hiss. "Someone show me my room!" Avril stormed into the house, followed by one of the pack's younger members. After about five minutes of waiting in her room, she couldn't stand it anymore. She wasn't going to stay cooped up.

Making a quick decision, Avril climbed out of her window and headed for the school. Sure, it took her a while but she got there about 4 hours later. While keeping an eye out for Adam, she made her way to the library hoping to find a word she could read about in order to escape her own world. She walked into the building and headed towards the back to browse. Not too long after, she turned down an isle to see Jason standing there. For a moment she just stared at him, her mind blank then she turned on her heels and walked away. She didn't want to deal with him if he was going to be a pain. She didn't care.

Adam looked up as Amanda walked in. He had attempted to grade papers, but his mind kept replaying Avrils words in his head. "Hey Amanda." he greeted softly, rubbing a hand over his face. "Don't worry about it. I am glad I could have helped." His voice was distant and void of any emotion. "I hope you had a good day." He told her as he looked back at his papers, pretending to go back to grading.
