Oh, a quick question for everyone. I like to make my posts all neat and tidy and so I would like to format them so it's all centered and italicized. It's a little strange but I really like how it looks that way, the speech will be bold also. I just want to know if anyone has a problem with that in case it makes it difficult for them to read at all etc.

EDIT: In fact I might not center it all bar a small title to each post.

I am going to beg you from the bottom of my soul, PLEASE do not center your posts, Blackbeard! PLEASE please please! I swear, I was just talking about this with someone the other day (not in a good way), and I find it extremely difficult to read. Italicize away, bold your dialogue, but I'm begging you to just let the words rest neatly against the left margin *big pleading hopeful eyeballs at you*

Haha I was questioning whether to do it anyway but don't worry, after that plea I definitely won't even attempt it :P I am glad I thought before I acted! It's no problem at all.

I'm with Igraine. Centering makes the text difficult to read as the eyes aren't used to that format.

Thank you Blackbeard! *phew* And honestly I don't think you'll have any trouble with your opening post. I do believe Heroes intends us all to be waking up from cryosleep at the very beginning - fun! Why not just wing it off the top of your head, based on whatever our beloved cat-herding GM gives us, and just let yourself have some fun with it, yes? There's nothing to worry about at all, just invest whatever emotion you feel is best, whatever fits the scene or hell, whatever fits your mood, and there you go! Have a great time writing, and you've done all you need to do in an RP!

Ja, I suppose, and thanks. Just with what I consider my first really serious foray into advanced, and doing so with the intention of improving my writing I'm all 'Gotta do well, Gotta be awesome' at the moment. I've written a small intro that I'll be adding to based of the IC OP. Can't wait for this!

@Blackbeard, if the characters are waking up from cryosleep in the beginning, Olivia is probably going to do check-ups on everyone, standard procedure stuff, so at least one part of your introduction post can play off of that! That is, if I happen to post before you, heh.

Ooo that would be cool. I'm getting that book by the way :) thanks for the recommendation.

On another note, I'm outa music. Anyone got some cool suggestions? My Itunes is filled with Rock/Metal/Dubstep/Hardstyle etc etc to get a feeling of my eclectic tastes. I'm just hoping the well hasn't dried up in my attempts to find all the music!

There is some nice stuff over at The Dub Rebellion, maybe you'll find something there! It's mostly unreleased previews, but at least they're short and sweet!

Nice choice in music, Prisk! Dubstep is always prime material for post-writing. Especially sci-fi. In fact, that sounds like good first IC post material....

For something like this, at least to begin with, I'll probably listen to chillstep/Classical, get that whole Space Opera feel :)

I love that this RP already has something like a soundtrack - you all are so much fun! I found a playlist (that I totally cannot take credit for compiling), for Preacher's posts. Not jazz, funk, Floyd, dubstep, hard rock/alternative rock/post-grunge (my usual fare), classical or the like, but *shrugs*

I'll just wait to see where everyone else posts before I weave John Paul in. I have a ton of work to finish up today for school, so my own post will likely be later than everyone else's, but I'll still see what I can do to get a grin or two ;)
