"That would be my purpose in your life, to find the people who did this, and the people who helped them do this, and kill them. That's the purpose of my life, and I take it very seriously..." She watched him walk away and limp as he tried to put weight on his left leg, this only further cemented her desire to help Griffin and Zach. "Did they ever eat around you? Did you hear any names? Even female or what might sound like a pet name can be helpful..."

Zack shook his head. "We rarely saw food that year. Most of the time they only spoke to call us name or threaten us." He explained as he followed his brother into the house. "I do remember they once mentioned Denver and the name Holly but that is the only think of."

"The bigger of the two smoked fancy cigars. I never saw a box or anything." Griffin told her as he took a seat in his recliner. "But I know they were expensive because the smaller guy complained about the cost of having them imported."

She smiled, "Believe it or not, that is more than enough for me to find someone. I have ways of getting people to remember things and also tell me things they might not really want to.." She moved closer to Griffin but still kept a stranger's distance. "The police won't do what I will, it will take time for me to shake down all of my resources, but you may rest easier now knowing that I'm looking for them...also...because me asking around could shake them out of the wood works, I want you to know that my brothers will be keeping tabs on you both. I want to make sure you both understand that these men could decide they want to shut you up...my brothers are more than capable of killing them...and if that happens, that's one way of getting rid of them for good.." She paused, hoping that warning would not make Griffin decide not to let her go after the men who tortured him.

"I don't like people in my personal space." Griffin growled. He watched her wearily. His personal space had become more important after the kidnapping. "Your brothers can do whatever they want as long as the don't get too close. " He didnt like the idea of people too close. But he wanted Zack protected. One of the reasons he had searched for their kidnappers was becouse he had no way of protecting his brother while he searched. He knew that searching for them was going to draw thier attention. Which meant he couldn't do it without a way to protect his brother. He wasnt going to fail Zack again. "As long as they can protect Zack and stay out of my space I don't care what your brothers do."

“Griffin, I don’t know if you believe in karma or not, but I am that force in the world. I don’t have to live or play by the rules everyone else does…whichever one of us, my brothers or I, who ends up killing the people who hurt you…will take great pleasure in it. I’m not expecting you to completely trust strangers, and we don’t want to invade your space. But you can trust them. I trust them, with my life. With my children’s lives.” Her face, stoic, then unreadable, offered him a small smile just after and then she glanced at Zach. “I need both of you on the same page and, really there…we won’t be lying to each other during this…” She glanced at them both cautiously.

"I want these people destroyed." Griffin told her simply. "Zack feels the same way or he wouldn't have sought you out. I don't care how you do it. I don't even care why you do it. All I care about is they suffer as much as we did."

"We don't make a habit of lying to people," Zack told her. He understood her wariness. Almost everyone lied. "We will give you as much information as we can to help you,"

"Well then there are two things to do...you need to meet my two eldest brothers so that you feel a little comfortable with them, and then I will start my foray into finding these assholes and making them pay. I know a guy...who is into body modification and he needs test subjects, he would gladly put them into rotation and allows them to feel many of the things they made you both feel.." She tilted her head, pausing as he phone vibrated in her pocket. She grabbed it out, put it to her ear and spoke. "Mir geht es gut, ja, ich bin gut ... alles war gut. Griffin didnt like the idea of having two strange men in his home. He like the idea of them being near Zack even less. He reminded himself that he and Zack were no longer helpless teenagers. They had both worked hard to learn to defend themselves.

"Tell then to approach slowly." Zack warned her. "Griffin doent handle guys in his space as well as he does man. Make sure they know that he will attack if they get too close to either of us." He watched his nrither worriedly.
