A foreword. I have never actually played Dungeons and Dragons formally before and most of my knowledge/ interest in this particular tabletop game has been relegated to reading core and supplemental copies of the book via local bookstores or PDF. That being said, I would like to try one out, seeing as this site caters to roleplaying of the text and now tabletop variety.

That being said, I'd also like for it to be something organized, something done in a specific time frame with some sort of digital dice-rolling system and a chat room where members of said game would be available for the duration of the game.

Is anyone else open and/or experienced to this sort of set up?

I run a few such games and am putting a special something together, however it isn't for newbie players so much as those wanting a challenge. What I mean is if you are a thinking type person who considers their actions before doing them I might be one to run the game you're looking for. I am willing to build something either for you alone or with a group.

PM me and we can sort something out.

I would love to play DND with a DM who has ever actually played a PC before.
Seriously, that sounds interesting.

Additionally, I have menial experience with DMing. I've not actually done much of being a player, but I have spent alot of time running everything.

I've run a few D&D games on here as well as on myth, mostly as a DM. So i'd be more then willing to help out or even DM a game. Specially of it's 3.5.

Almost every one of my online characters is D&D based, and they can be adapted to fit most campaigns. I also homebrew quite a bit of 3.5 material on my blog, and that homebrew needs all the play testing it can get. I typically only run IRL games, but I can run one online in a pinch. I'd love to get involved in a game.

In my 3.5 games, I've been experimenting with allowing only non-caster levels to be gestalted, in order to help them measure up against spellcasters (and manifesters). Given such a case, the prestige ranger, bard and paladin often prove a better choice than their base class counterparts in the long run. Indeed, any class that loses levels of spellcasting advancement can be gestalted at those levels where the spells don't advance. As such, fractional BAB and saves are implemented, with "poor" saves advancing by 1/3 per level and "good" saves advancing by 1/2 per level with a +2 increase at first level only.

For anyone subscribed to this forum post, I want to clarify that at the moment I have little time to dedicate to running or creating a roleplay. I was simply curious on WHO would be willing to create and run a roleplay that was scheduled, organized etc.

If there's someone who'd be willing to start a D&D 3.5 Roleplay up, I assume we'd be happy to join?

Oh, does this mean I should work on the thread now?
Also, I have an avatar and some few others do not!

Typically the first step in playing a D&D game is deciding what level to start at and generating a character.
Deciding on how to start the storyline, is often helped by knowing what kind of characters are going to be in it.
So, if anyone needs help doing this, I'd suggest first joining Myth Weavers to make use of the online character sheets they feature.

3.5 D&D Example Sheet: Zukhezur Kavinath @ lvl 1

Once folks have done so, they can start reading bits and pieces of what can be found on the 3.5 d20 SRD.

On this thread or using PMs, I can answer questions as you go and provide more links.
If enough prove interested, I can DM a starter story arc or two to keep your beaks wet.
I'm reluctant to commit to the task of providing for a full-fledged campaign at this time, but circumstances can always change.

I'm interested, though we'll need to deal with timezones.
